Ysgubor - The Barn

Spacious, comfortable accommodation with delightful hilly views which makes it a great place to relax even when it rains! as it's off the beaten track. Ideally situated for walking or driving to so many other places which are well worth visiting. The hot tub and the games room were a bonus. We would happily return there in the future.

Ysgubor is a beautifully appointed barn conversion with the living area upstairs so the wonderful views of surrounding hills can be appreciated The owners live adjacent so are on hand for any queries. They were always very helpful and friendly. Left us a nice welcome pack as well We loved the whole area lots of lovely dog friendly beaches in easy reach a castle rivers, a waterfall, lovely pubs and a wonderful tea room The Plwmp Tart at Penbryn Beach The hot tub was perfect at the end of the day We hope to be back!

Our family absolutely loved this property. It had all the facilities we needed and was extremely clean and comfortable. The games room and hot tub were a real treat as well. The location was perfect for us. There are many lovely walks very close by and the local church and shell house open on a Thursday are well worth a visit. My Mum, in particular, was fascinated by the early medieval, cross carved stone near the top of the drive. The hosts were really lovely, very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and we all would love to come back.

Spent a lovely few days at the Barn. Everything we could have needed was included. Hot tub was a bonus. Views were fantastic and the location is perfect for visiting all the beaches and plenty of dog walks.

Lovely barn, comfortable, great for families and lovely surroundings. Great touches and thoughtful welcome packs and lovely games area. We regularly stay in this area and this place is ideal for exploring, we were very close to Cardigan Town, just 10 minutes away. Lovely walks. It was a flying visit and last minute! But we definitely return for a longer break. Thanks both.

Fabulous place to stay. The view's are wonderful. Peaceful and not far to travel to beautiful beaches. The owners are very nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a home from home stay, who wants a peaceful holiday. We would definitely return in the future.

The best cottage we've ever stayed in! The open plan living area upstairs is perfect to take in the view and with the balcony door open the dog is kept busy on look out. Bedrooms are very comfortable and being downstairs kept nicely cool on Wales' hottest ever day at 36C. The kitchen is well equipped, we only ate out once recommend the Pizza Tipi in Cardigan. The garden and hot tub have a great view and are enclosed, so no worries with a dog. The barn has a games room with ping pong, pool, fussball and darts. We had fun with our own indoor league competition. Fress eggs available and very tasty too! From the cottage there is a path down to the river with a small pool, perfect for the dog during our very hot stay. Nearby Cardigan is full of nice small shops, Poppins Sands, Blue Lagoon, Oakwood theme Park and the national Botanical Gardens. The owners are very helpful and with their recommendations helped make this stay our of the best holidays ever. Thanks.

What a fantastic place, really enjoyed our week, great place, great hosts, very well equipped. Would go back tomorrow... Fantastic for wildlife watching, Dave and Sam are so accommodating, really cannot do enough for you. I cannot recommend this place enough, out of 5 stars...I would have to give it a 7 star rating...absolutely brilliant...

The barn was perfect! It was so clean and warm and cosy. The view, the hot tub, and the games room made it really special, and lots of lovely walks were had!

We had a wonderful mini break, our hosts had thought of everything. We're already planning a return visit. The views are outstanding with some lovely walks from the property. We visited lots of little villages, towns and beaches across West Wales and this was the perfect base. The hot tub and games room were an added bonus. The showers were lovely and really powerful. Everything about the cottage was spot on, the owners were brilliant, we had an issue with our car and without their assistance and the use of their house phone, the holiday would have been spoiled, so once again Sam and Dave THANK YOU.

Fab cottage spotlessly clean, well equipped with everything you could need or want the washing machine was a huge help and the whole place so comfortable. Such a beautiful setting with wondeful countrysidewoodland walking on the doorstep. Sam and Dave were excellent hosts, nothing was any trouble. They really made us feel welcome and were so patient with our nervous, barky rescue dogs on their first holiday! Thanks for the really memorable holiday.

Perfect little getaway destination. The views from the cottage are stunning, the owners were welcoming, polite and helpful. Upon arriving the cottage was tidy, clean and well maintained. They had supplied extra wipes, cleaning product and hand sanitiser. would definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous stay in the cottage, it was brilliant from start to finish as so peaceful and had everything we could ever have wanted. Our food parcel was a lovely touch to get us going too. The cottage was super comfortable and cosy and is finished to perfection. We felt straight at home and loved the upsidedown living. The hot tub was fabulous too, especially as it was so peaceful, we felt like we were the only ones on the planet. The area is also a fabulous base to explore Cardigan and beautiful west wales, we would highly recommend the cottage and area and looking forward to returning soon.

Lovely part of the world, cottage position and environment excellent in every way, owners went out of their way to make one welcome. Lot to do in the area particularly for families.

Ysgubor was the best Sykes property that we have stayed in so far. It had everything we wanted for a comfortable base. We were able to cook, relax, be entertained and sleep as if we were at home there was nothing lacking. We received a very warm welcome and a thoughtful basket on arrival including items for our dog. The setting is beautiful, nestled in the hills and past the old stone church, with blackberries and roses in the hedgerow. We sincerely recommend this property.

We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was fantastic and exactly as described. There are some beautiful places to visit nearby and plenty of walking from the cottage. A great place to take your dog too.

Definitely exceeded our expectations, very friendly, welcoming, basic supplies waiting for us. Very well equipped kitchen immaculately clean. Cant fault anything. Spectacular views. Dogs thoroughly enjoyed their freedom in the secure garden. The hot tub was an unexpected addition. Would definitely recommend this holiday. Dont usually rate places this highly as there is usually some room for improvement, but cant fault anything here.

Absolutely amazing cottage, super clean, bigger than we expected and really pleasant views. Dave and Sam greeted us when we arrived and gave us some really useful tips on where to go and what to do in the area. We loved our stay and would definitely go back again.
