Micklemore Lakes and Lodges Reviews

We stayed at Macklemore lake and lodge for a long weekend to celebrate a 60th Birthday. Sharon the owner was so helpful before arriving with providing details regarding the lodge which was so helpful. The lodge is located on a lake in a relaxing private setting. The grounds are kept perfectly and the fish in the lake are huge. The lodge was so welcoming, it was clean and inviting there was nothing not thought of with the kitchen having plenty of table wear and glasses and even having an airfyer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable we had young children with us and we were provided with a travel cot. We enjoyed evenings on the hot tub which was hot and clean and surrounded by lovely views. The lodge is located close to a local shop and around 15 mins away from Cleethorpes which has a steam train. We visited a local pub called The Livesey Arms for Sunday lunch which was lovely and around 5 minutes drive from the lodge. I would recommend this lodge and we will definitely be returning. We definitely had a memorable weekend.

Absolutely wonderful stay very comfortable, very good fishing, owners on hand if ... Absolutely wonderful stay very comfortable, very good fishing, owners on hand if you need anything will definitely return
Just returned from a week with the family six adults, four grandchildren all under six & two dogs at Micklemore Lakes and Lodges. Location is truly stunning, with private landscaped grounds and lake, a great place to chill out and relax. Plenty to do for the more active seaside is close by Cleethorpes around 20 minutes, Mablethorpe 40 minutes and the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds on the doorstep with walks and cycle routes aplenty. Plenty of pubs, nice restaurants and shops within a short drive. The lodge is modern, spacious and immaculately clean, with all modern facilities and good WiFi. Loved sitting in the hot tub watching the sun go down over the countryside with a glass of wine and walking around the lake and island with the dogs and kids, watching the fish jumping. All in all a beautiful location and lodge will definitely be booking for 2025.
This lodge is just stunning, from the entrance through private gates, up the gravel drive, overlooking your private fishing lake and then inside the lodge, its immaculate, very well decorated, all mod cons, and decking view to watch the sun rise to your right, and set on your left. The owners were first class with communication and helpful tips for local eaterys. If you want privacy, comfort, and just a top class venue for a break, look no further. Highly highly recommended.

Wow, what a lodge! ! We arrived late on a Thursday evening and we were absolutely thrilled to find that the property was even better than the pictures online. The owners were very helpful before, during and after our stay at the lodge, with clear instructions of access codes and always on hand to answer any questions. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the stay and can't wait to book again.
Angela
The Lodge was beautiful with all the comforts you could want. The setting was idyllic. Would love to go back, would highly recommend. There was 10 of us and we had plenty of room. The lake was full of fish for anyone who likes fishing.

Thank you so much for our stay at your beautiful lodge. weve had such a wonderful 5 day break. We were a group of 5 including our 11 year old and our two Jack Russells. Although the entrance to the site was on a main road, once behind the gates it was a little dream of its own. The whole place was perfect, beautifully decorated to an extremely high standard with top quality bedding, lighting and facilities. It was spotlessly clean and so so well equipped, easily the best accommodation of this nature weve ever hired! We felt the whole place and lake was excellently maintained inside and out and felt really secure and secluded which was exactly what we were hoping for, especially with having the dogs free to roam outside. The lodge itself is just perfect, great communal kitchendining space with plenty of different areas to suit the whole party. The bedrooms were great, beds incredibly comfortable, all with high quality linen and pillows, and individual room climate control allowed for total flexibility. Bathrooms finished to an exceptional standard, high tech without any confusion, great showers and lighting. Excellent to have a washing machine, which we used a couple of times due to the muddy conditions and fishing!, all kitchen appliances amazing, and even an airfryer! The owners of this place have done an absolutely top class job making sure there is literally everything you could ever need in terms of crockery, kitchen tools and home comforts. Whilst my husband, son and mother in law spent much of the days exploring the local beaches, towns and shops, My brother and I fished the lake from dawn until dusk in ALL the weathers and we had everything! and we both said wed not had such great fishing for nearly 20years!! The fish are stunning, all in such perfect condition, we didnt find the 35lbers but we did have over 500lbs worth or common and mirror carp in total over 4days! Catch after catch, all 615lbs which was great fun. The luxury of having the lake to ourselves was absolutely valued, it was just perfect to have all the home comforts and such excellent fishing! We felt spoilt!! We ate out at a couple of the local pubs, both of which were only a few mins drive as well as there being a great Chinese, a few local shops and some fish and chip shops within a mile or so from the lodge. All in all, this was an outstanding place, worth every penny and if we could give 100stars, we would. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Words cannot describe how magnificent Micklemore Lake and Lodges is! It has to be one of the most beautiful locations and places I have been to. As soon as you arrive is simply has a magical feel to it. The lake and lodge are both breathtaking and Sharon is the epitome of first class experience. The interior decor in the lodge is simply beautiful. I really cannot recommend enough. Lots of beautiful carp too in the lake and such a safe environment for you to stay in, coupled with your furry friends. Our 4 month year old puppy absolutely loved it! There are not many places I have have cried when leaving but this was one of them! Cannot wait to go back to our beautiful haven and thank you Sharon for everything you are amazing x

For starters, the owner is the sweetest lady ever. Ive never been more comfortable going somewhere to stay, we had absolutely everything we could possibly need available to us. I cant even begin to describe how surreal the lodge is itself, you have the entire lake to yourself too and it feels unreal. The location is isolated enough for you to have fun with who youre going with, but also only 510 minutes drive from nearest villages with shops. Literally every single utensil is provided for you should you wish to cook your own food. Words cannot do this place justice, you just have to go and stay!
I can confidently say I was very impressed with the facilities. They have done a great job stying and choosing there furniture. We are already missing the view of the lake as soon as you wake. I was also very impressed with the security especially having a young family and a dog. Its a must visit especially at that price. Well done all!!!!
Had a lovely time away at Micklemore Lakes and Lodges. We were there for the winter break. The place was sparkling clean and smelling amazing when we arrived. Had all amenities, hot tub was set, even had a Christmas tree. The lodge itself its stunting and and so nicely located, you get a lot of privacy. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay. Perfect host! 10 out if 10.

about 6 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET

Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
