The Granary Reviews

Stefanie
I cant fault this place. So cosy with everything you need. Beds are so comfy.
Philip
A striking and lovely place to stay, with a welcoming kitchen and a roomy sitting room alongside many other things. We enjoyed the tennis court, which is in good condition.
Mary
The cottage and grounds are both beautifully kept and comfortable. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Lots of attention to detail that made our stay great. Also fab to arrive to a homemade cake - delicious!
Rebecca
We loved our stay at the Granary. We celebrated a 60th birthday with parents, children, and grandchildren. There was easily enough room to accommodate all of us with everyone having access to their own bathroom. The grounds are lovely to walk in and the hot tub was a real bonus. The Granary is spotless and incredibly well equipped. Highly recommendRead moreed for both a short and long stay. Hide

The property was absolutely perfect for our group of friends. The location was idyllic, and the property was beautiful. We had plans for the week so didn't take up any of the opportunities for archery, glider flights, etc, but they sounded fantastic. We did use the hot tub, which was lovely, and had a barbeque despite the cooler March weather! The Read morebedrooms were all very comfortable and the living area was perfect for our group size of eight people. We really appreciated the cake, wine and coffee beans, which were all very thoughtful touches. Overall, I would recommend this property to anyone. Hide

The Granary was the perfect for a multi generation celebration. Everybody from two to late 60s had an amazing time. It was spacious, luxuriously appointed, spotlessly clean with quirky features. It had everything we needed, only clothes and personal items need to be packed. The Internet connection was very good. There was a secure courtyard to coRead morentain the smaller children, and fields and a wood for the older children (and adults) to play hide and seek, cricket, badminton etc etc. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Cannot praise this property enough and would thoroughly recommend it and hope to stay there again. Hide

The Granary is a beautiful and extremely comfortable and peaceful place to stay. It was just the most perfect place for a large family gathering to celebrate an 80th birthday!
Julie
The venue, location, and quality of amenity were totally perfect for our party of friends, family and business associates to celebrate their friendships with my daughter. We had the most wonderful couple of days playing games, walking and using all the facilities including the hot tub. The property is eclectic, very comfortable and spotlessly cleanRead more and in the most beautiful area of South Norfolk surrounded by open fields and footpaths perfect for walking. All rooms are extremely comfortable, many of them with their own en-suites which allowed our party to be together but with sufficient space to allow for privacy. We also hired a private chef to cater for our party and using the Aga, he pulled together a sumptuous celebration banquet. Hide

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at The Granary. The house was beautiful, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and it catered for all our needs perfectly! Location wise it was idyllic and so peaceful - but only a short walk away from a friendly and bustling local pub too. We would love to return again in the future!

Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 12 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 13 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 14 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 14 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 19 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 19 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 24 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 25 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 27 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
