Rowan Reviews

Charlotte
Lovely set up, everything we needed and a breakfast basket was provided. There was an issue with the shower, it just stayed boiling hot despite turning the temp right down and the WiFi just did not work unless very early in the morning The hot tub could also do with a few things fixing, the pillows kept coming off and the filter panel I assume it has been a busy season for them. Apart from that we had a very lovely stay
The only downside was the lack of a proper soft sweeping brush as I am 70 years ... The only downside was the lack of a proper soft sweeping brush as I am 70 years old with a hip and knee replacement I found it difficult to sweep the floor with a hand rush and pan
Matthew
We had a lovely cosy relaxing stay here. The view was fantastic as well as the wildlife. Everything was perfect down to the fine details. Its just what we needed and will definitely be staying again. Thank you
Patricia
Wonderful position and views. Owner on site and very helpful if you need anything. If you are looking for a peaceful break this is for you. Would go again! Thank you for a lovely holiday
Rachel
What a beautiful place! So clean and well maintained. We had a great time and can't wait to visit again.
We booked a 3 night stay in Rowan as a minimoon weekend and it didnt disappoint! Rowan is the front lodge with uninterrupted views over the lake and fields and is tastefully decorated and very comfortable and cozy while still being spacious. The hot tub was welcome all weekend and the fairy lights at night added to the ambience. We took our bikes and went to Hicks Lodge around the cycle tracks there, walked to the local pubs The Halfway House and Cricketts delicious food at both and walked the nearby Ashby Woulds Heritage trail. The owners are very helpful on arrival and would highly recommend Steam Mill Lodges to anyone.

Absolutely gorgeous place! Will definitely use again!
A lovely, peaceful and serene stay. Everything was exactly as described. The accommodation and everything within felt like new. The bed was very comfortable. Even though we are used to a much larger bed,we both rested and slept very well. Bed linen and towels were of high quality. Ienjoy the occasional gripe but I couldn't find anything negative to complain about. The hot tub was great and easy to control. The scenery is beautiful with unbroken views of the lake and bird life. The staff were lovely, approachable and helpful. The lodge itelf was spotless. Would we go back? Without hesitation!
Great lodge Rowan was the best due to its location on the grounds private & secluded with a view of the lake. Lodge was fully kitted out & comfortable. Only issue was the check out at 9am felt very early!
Darren
Was perfect, exactly what we needed would stay again, lovely and comfortable thanks alot
Yvonne
Adam the owner was so welcoming & friendly, but not intrusive. We packed too many things not needed due to the lodge being so well equipped. USB points in bedroom. Hairdryer, iron & table top ironing board supplied. Plastic glasses for the hot tub are supplied. We stayed at Rowan for a chilled week for my birthday. It was fantastic & very clean. It's a very private lodge. They supplied large fantastic quality towels for the hot tub which saved us going home with towels to wash. They also supply 2 bath robes. All I would say is Skyes get to know what is supplied at the properties you advertise as I was told by one of your members of staff via text there would not be bath robes & a hairdryer at the lodge. Thank you Adam for a lovely stay we hope to be back one day.
