Amazing cottage, happy to stay here again! Ideal locations with some amazing walks and the hot tub after which was needed.
Can honestly say that this is one of the most beautiful cottages we have ever stayed in and definitely one of the most beautiful villages in Derbyshire with so much history. Dennis our Dachshund had the best time as we didnt need to get in the car to find the best walks, in fact, we didnt need to use the car at all. Hottub was an absolute bonus to what was already an amazing weekend. Cant wait to go back next year!!!
Lorraine

Really pleased with the property. Perfect
It was just fabulous
Lovely cottage, very quiet area. Claire was a star when we were in need of help. Maybe a bit difficult dinner table for toddlers if I have to make any suggestions but in general we were very happy
An excellent property in a perfect location to enjoy the magnificent Peak District. The property is very well presented and guest needs carefully considered. The highlight after a day of walking is of course the hot tub, for which robes and slippers are even provided. A great place for dogs, with their own bed, bowls and biscuits! Garden is secure and a great dog walk straight from the property is available.

It was a delightful cottage, tastefully furnished, with all the facilities. We enjoyed the hot tub . Unfortunately we didnt spend much time in the pretty garden due to gloomy weather! We would love to stay again.
Beautifully furnished and well equipped cottage. Ideally located. Hot tub a welcome extra after a day of walking. Local pubs serve excellent food. Tight parking but due to instructions given for entering and exiting, it wasn't a problem.
Adrian
We loved the cottage and the attention to detail made by the owner is great. The village history is fascinating. Along with being a great location for walkers there are some good eateries on hand. A brilliant area to visit.
Genuinely, the best cottage we have stayed at, everything was perfect.

Amanda
A perfect cottage in a perfect location, not to mention the hot tub. Really relaxing after a day out walking. Everything provided was to the highest standard. The owner has thought of everything for their guests' comfort.
Richard
My Wife and I and our 2 dogs absolutely loved Lydgate Cottage. Cosy comfy lounge, big tv, fast broadband, and a decent fire. Nice little conservatory to shelter from weather. Compact kitchen, with everything you need to cook we cooked all bar 1 of our meals. Good size bedroom with vaulted ceiling and a really comfy bed. Bathroom was immaculate and a pleasure to use. Outside the garden was secure and a perfect size for us for the week. Location was perfect too, just off the village centre which has several cafes, pub, & village stores. Plenty of walking from the door, no need to drive anywhere. We only holiday in the Peak District, and have stayed in dozens of cottages all over, and Lydgate is hands down our new favourite.
Debbie
We love this amazing, quirky cottage. It was immaculate inside and out, and the facilities were fantastic. The garden is pretty and it was great to park the car on the drive with the gates closed. One of the reasons we chose the cottage was the hot tub and it really didnt disappoint!! If you have a long vehicle, parking may be more of an issue than my small SUV.
Kathryn
Beautiful cottage. Very organised and had all that you need. Thank you for such a wonderful few days.
Richard
A lovely restored cottage, with everything you need. Eyam is a great location for exploring the Derbyshire dales, with great walks & pubs all near by. A stay at Lydgate cottage, I would highly recommend.
Louise
A beautiful cottage, well presented with a cosy feel and everything you need for a comfortable selfcatering break. Ideally situated for exploring the Peak District with local walks and places to eat & drink.
As a family we had a really good time and even with all the walking round there too come back rain or shine and get into the hot tub.
We had a wonderful stay at Lydgate Cottage. The property has been beautifully done and was comfy and cosy for us and our two dogs. Eyam is also a great base from which to explore the stunning local countryside, with a seemingly inexhaustible network of walking trails in all directions. We were able to clock up over 50 miles of hiking without needing to get in the car. There is then the bonus of the hot tub at the end of a days exploring, plus a good choice of places in Eyam to go for a meal and a drink. All in all, a fantastic trip and we fully intend to visit Lydgate Cottage again in the future.
The property is very well equipped, and a lot of attention to detail made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I have already recommended the cottage to friends and we will certainly consider returning ourselves at some time in the future.
Beautiful cottage , wonderfully decorated and hot tub was wonderful after a long day walking !
Amanda

Lydgate Cottage is the most idyllic and beautiful cottage we have ever stayed in. Well equipped for both us and our dogs, and just so cosy. There is even a dog wash for muddy paws after a walk.Owners were so helpful and friendly and at hand if we needed them. Perfect location with some beautiful walks starting at the cottage. We had the most wonderful stay, all the extra touches were very much appreciated. We have already recommended to a few of our friends. Will definitely be booking for another week again next winter. Thank you for making our holiday perfect
Andrew
Perfect little cottage in a great location. Loved the hot tub after a days walking.
Real good all round. I personal didnt find the bed comfortable. Felt like one side of the mattress fell away
Joanne
The cottage was beautifully presented with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Some lovely little touches like the dressing gowns and slippers were most welcoming along with the fizz, basket of goodies and of course the hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves exploring some really lovely walks during the week and we would like to think that we will be back again next year.
Melissa
We had the most amazing stay at Lydgate, perfect for small families or couples. There were four of us dog but our youngest refuses to sleep by themselves The kitchen is well stocked, we took our our dog bowls but there was actually some already there. When we arrived there was a basket with some welcome items in, some milk in the fridge and a bottle of fizz that was extremely appreciated after our drive! I loved the small touches like the books on the shelves from and about the local area as well as the dressing gowns, and some spare slippers, which were great for wet feet and on the flag stone floors. There was also baskets of blankets and a log bucket for the fire which we made full use of, and the fire was especially nice after coming inside from the hot tub! We made full use of the hot tub in the afternoons and evenings, after taking the dog out on a walk, which there was plenty of locally. Incredible stay, and while we were there we tried to add on a some additional days but unfortunately couldnt get the availability with hubs work. Would recommend and most definitely would return.
