This property was the best weve stayed in to date and most definitely 5* with all the facilities. It was spacious and certainly baby/toddler friendly which was important to us. We put the outdoor settee at the top of the steps near the hot tub for safety for the toddlers. 4 bedrooms allowed us to give the toddlers a room each. The property provided spacious, well-planned accommodation for our party of 8, was clean, and generally very well equipped and in good decorative order. It is set in attractive, well-maintained grounds with some facilities for visitors. Provision of toiletries and other consumables was much appreciated. Refrigeration was insufficient for 8 people f or longer than a weekend. The hot tub was of course a great favourite.

What a wonderful family sized lodge with levels of comfort well in excess of many similar lodges we have stayed at. Wonderful large hot tub. Fantastic open space provided with playground and ample grassed areas for games. Kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything you would need. Peaceful location with the shared access of 4 lodges with ample parking for 4 cars per lodge.

Lovely property in a lovely setting. There were 8 of us. The four en suite bedrooms ideal. The properties look out onto a green area and otherwise surrounded by fields. The hot tub in the skylark retreat sat 5. The other properties had hot tubs that sat 8. The properties are built to park cars there. Most of us took the train and there was an issue with taxi companies coming out to that location. Jeff and burgess taxis were the best when others refused and were really reasonable.

Lovely, quiet location, the Skylark Retreat was everything we had hoped for. The layout is well done and roomy allowing you relax in comfort. The hot tub was great for all young and older. Full use was made of the tennis court and play area. Quality fittings throughout. Great venue to catch up with friends from further away.
