Head to Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfalls, 4 miles away, which falls in three stages over a 73 metre cliff.
Lake Vyrnwy (4 miles) is another great place for walking or cycling, taking in the scenery and spotting wildlife. For something different, visit the museum or walk along the canal in Welshpool, 12 miles away, or explore the National Trust s medieval Powis Castle, 22 miles away.
