Vitula Cottage Reviews

Raminta
We stayed in lovely Vitula last weekend. It was my second time visiting Vitula. It was an amazing weekend in the beautiful countryside. Alan and Sally are kind and generous, and we feel very safe. They met us with tasty cakes and delicious jam.Vitula is so warm and cozy with an amazing view. We didn't want to go anywhere. The hot tub with a beautiful countryside view was a delight . We already booked a cottage for January, looking forward to coming back. Thank you, Sally and Alan
Sharon
Four friends stayed for a week at Vitula Cottage & can honestly say its the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean throughout..both bedrooms ensuite with very comfortable beds. A very well equipped kitchen with everything you could think of for an enjoyable stay. Set in a rural location with stunning countryside views we really had a relaxing time here. Sally the owner met us on arrival & was very welcoming. Lovely touches of homemade cakes & jam along with fresh flowers made for a real home from home feel. We all loved our stay & would highly recommend it to anyone Thank you so much to Sally & Alan for having us
Really enjoyed our stay in Vitula cottage, the owner Sally met us as we arrived, explained everything to us, cottage, garden and hot tub all well looked after, will definitely be going back , hopefully May next year, thank you , James Moore .
We enjoyed a very relaxing week in this wellequipped and comfortable cottage following a warm welcome from the owner. The homebaked cakes and homemade jam were most welcome on our arrival. The fresh flowers were a thoughtful touch and really appreciated. The secluded location and privacy suited us very well but it was good to know that Sally and Alan were available for any queries or problems that we might have had. The cottage proved to be an ideal base for visiting various places of interest in the surrounding area.
Gillian
The cottage was just perfect. We could see just how much thought and care you have taken in both styling the cottage and providing everything to ensure a pleasant, comfortable stay. We will be back. Thank you.
Anyone would be privileged to stay at Vitula Cottage Everything is done to such a high standard, and so inviting. you feel soo relaxed as soon as you are settled in. It is like a Home for a holiday with the peace & quiet, There are Stunning views all around you there is no need for entertainment you can just relax & watch the wildlife. Rabbits, squirrels stoat, fox, etc There are variety of birds, including pheasants Oh and in the evening's the bats entertain you flying back and forth. When you get into bed it is like floating on air, I have never slept so well & the bedding is so clean, fresh & cosy. The kitchen has everything you could want it is so well equipped in case you wanted to cook while you are away. As for the owners Sally and Alan they are such a lovely couple. Sally meets you on your arrival with some home made cakes which would win top prize in the Bake off series. They are nearby if you need them, But they leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday. What else can I say I think I have covered everything The best holiday I have had in years. I would quite happily move in tomorrow Thank you so much Sally & Allan

Vitula cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Close to lots of places to visit. Great for visiting Shrewsbury. The cottage has everything you need plus additional luxuries like the hot tub. It was very clean and comfortable. The owner is on hand should you need her but does not intrude on your holiday.
Elizabeth
The accommodation was top notch. We were lucky to have superb weather. This enabled us to fully open the bifold doors and sit on the decking. The views, the peace and quiet, guaranteed complete relaxation. We bought bird seed, which encouraged many birds plus a squirrel.
This is delightful cottage deep in the charming Shropshire countryside. Set in a spacious garden with many established trees, it is a magnet for wildlife. We were lucky enough to spot rabbits, squirrels, bats and buzzards amongst the usual garden and woodland birds. It is a perfect bolthole for 2 people who enjoy additional rooms and space, but is equipped for 4. The spacious hot tub in the conservatory is perfect for any weather with good views across the countryside. An additional touch was the tin of delicious home made buns on arrival. The owners have gone to considerable effort in making this a clean, comfortable and well appointed rental and they deserve repeated bookings.
We had a most pleasant two week holiday, based in this delightful property, in a rural location. The house was well presented with everything we required and the location was central to all we wished to do. Sally was most helpful, but not intrusive. We would definitely stay again should ae wish to return to this area
Lesley
Vitula cottage was stunning inside and out. Probably the best we have ever been to. The decor, furnishings etc were of the highest quality. The surrounding views were stunning. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Sally the owner was extremely helpful and her welcoming email very informative. I would strongly recommend Vitula cottage to any potential guests.
Pamela
Very peaceful location ,very light and airy . Top Mark's for cleanliness .Plenty of seating in the garden with lovely views and various birds visiting the feeders. A very enjoyable stay.
Kelvin
Fantastic location, absolutely wonderful barn conversation. Owners are so friendly and helpful. Couldnt expect better anywhere. Would recommend.
Relaxing and comfortable two weeks at Vitula Cottage. Pleasant accommodation with the bonus of lovely grounds to enjoy. We would happily stay here again.
Leslie
The Cottage was immaculate, great views, and the hot tub was perfect after a days walking aound the local towns and villages. The kitchen had every utensil, pot and pan you needed to cook a meal. The bird feeder positioned just off the decking saw a variety of birds and squirrels come and go during the day very pleasant to watch whilst eating breakfast. Remember to bring a pair of crocs for the short walk from the cottage to the hot tub. Overall the perfect country retreat and Sally's cup cakes were to die for!
Gillian
Lovely property with amazing views. Sally the owner welcomed us on arrival, and everything was perfect, we were very lucky that the weather was nice. Lovely place to get away and unwind.
Barbara
Definitely the best cottage we have stayed in. Beautifully decorated with everything we needed. The hot tub in the conservatory was super especially as the weather wasnt good. Great location for sightseeing in Shropshire. Thoughtful host and delicious cakes.
Lovely cottage. Perfect for a relaxing escape from the city life. Sally was so welcoming and the the fresh cupcakes waiting for us were delicious.
Claire
Stunning cottage in a beautiful location. Everything you could possibly need and more in this very well equipped cottage. We had a very warm welcome from the lovely owner, Sally. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Shrewsbury and Ellesemere very close by with nice walks, shopping and eateries. The only downside for me is that the cottage isn't dog friendly, as I'd love to visit again with my husband and dog!
Vincent
This is a lovely place, well set out & comfortable. The bedrooms are a good size with space for your clothes, not living out a case. The bathrooms are clean and do the job. The open plan space of the lounge & kitchen is really nice, just a few little things in the kitchen are missing. We should have had a chat with Sally but didn't, because I am sure that she would have made amends, she is a lovely person & will look after you. Her cakes are really nice too. Finally the hot tub is another plus for the venue, we were only a party of four so it was plenty big enough for us. It's set up in a conservatory, which is different, great if it's raining. The surrounding area has two pubs less than 2 miles from the cottage, in opposite directions. But I wouldn't recommend walking to or from these in the dark as the road is very tight with lots of bends. Definitely worth a visit though. Overall an excellent venue which we would definitely return to again.
Beautiful cottage in a relaxing part of the countryside! Spotless inside and would highly recommend.
Raminta
Amazing weekend retreat. Thank you Sally and Alan. Cottage was absolutely gorgeous, beautiful details everywhere. So warm, clean and cosy. Hot tub in conservatory during Isha storm was cherry on the cake. I highly recommend Vitula cottage to everyone who wants relaxing weekend in beautiful countryside.
Melissa

We didn't see her again she left us to have some privacy and time together.Property was lovley, quiet and the kitchen was lovley nice and big to move around and cook.Nice and warm inside aswell , Will definitely come back in the future when it's warmer weather.Thankyou for a lovley stay

Brilliant property, super clean and amazing location. Very attentive to our needs and great communication. The place looks even better than the photographs and had all the facilities we needed!
Carlie
The most stunning and well thought out cottage I have ever seen in the most beautiful location. The owners are an absolute delight too. Thankyou so much we will definitely be back.
Very comfortable holiday home. Lovely beds. Well equipped kitchen. Would be nice to come back in the warmer weather and make more use of the outside.
Nicola
First Impressions were wow, what a fabulous view and nothing from then on disappointed us at all. It's very comfortable and warm and it is well equiped with everything we needed. Everything was high quality even down to the bed sheets which are so nice I will upgrading my own. The owners are really lovely and clearly cared that our expectations were met. I would highly recommend this holiday home and we would definitely go back. Thank you
A lovely spacious cottage, beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and well maintained. Lovely gardens with views over the Shropshire countryside. We were visited by a variety of wildlife including a Tawny Owl. It was well placed for visiting local attractions and we can definitely recommend the breakfast at Sleap Airfield!
Great property in lovely quite location and made most welcome Beautiful surroundings which added to a relaxing holiday
Karine
We had a great week. The cottage was perfectly clean. The kitchen was really well equipped and the view from the living room very relaxing. We took advantage of the hot tub which is a real bonus. Don't hesitate to book for a quiet break.
Beautiful! Great attention to detail and thoughtful touches. A pleasure to stay. Thank you.
Lovely cottage in a wonderful setting. Owner Sally was very helpful and supportive. Very highly recommended
Had an amazing week at Vitula Cottage, amazing rural location but well situated to explore Shropshire. The Cottage itself is beautifully furnished and so well equipped you could actually live there permanently. The beds were so comfortable, we slept like logs every night, amazing showers with plentiful hot water. Hot tub in the conservatory was just the best thing after a day out, then sitting in the pergola watching the wildlife in the evening with a wine was so relaxing. This is probably the best self catering house we have stayed in, Sallys home made cake to welcome us was truly yummy. We will definitely return in the future, but if we lived closer it would be more often. Thank you Sally and Alan for a great experience. Paula and Graeme, Aberdeen.
We have stayed at Vitula three times now. Everytime we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was ideally suited for walking and cycling the surrounding area. The owners, Sally & Alan are very friendly. Wrote hope to go back to cycle again in the very near future.
Its a fab chill out place very quite, chilled with a G&T, plus nibbles just sat watching the birds. The owner was very welcoming and made a lovely cake on our arrival. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking. We had problems with TV singal.
Michael
Superb property. The best cottage we have ever stayed in! So much space, beautiful surroundings and views with private gardens all around. Very comfortable well equipped and immaculate. Everything we needed. We paid extra for the hot tub out in the conservatory and this was a real treat with furniture to relax in between our dips. Wonderful when the weather was cold and rainy outside!
This cottage as everything and more need was the best we have ever stopped in will definitely be returning
Absolutely amazing. Had a wonderful stay would highly recommend we will be booking again .
