Wood Cottage Reviews

Michelle
Property was very nice , kitchen was fully equipped a coffee machine and air fryer would bring it up to date with modern living. I would not stay at this property again because of the creaking floors upstairs ,every single room was really really noisy with every step you took in every room and the landing area,we were travelling with babies and walking around upstairs was so noisy it would wake them up ,you knew exactly where people were walking around upstairs it was so noisy and a toilet break in the night ment you woke everyone up by just walking to the bathroom! , beds were very small just a double in the main bedroom , my husband is 6ft and could not stretch his legs down as the bed had a high rail at the bottom the bed , this bedroom has plenty of room for a king size bed .New front door needed as the seal has dropped and let in a gale force wind . Owners were very friendly and left us a lovely basket of wine and biscuits, we stayed over the Christmas period and the property was all dressed up with a Christmas tree ect which was lovely , views from this property are absolutely beautiful .we were a family of 9 and had plenty of space for us all to sit and chill.

This was our second time in this lovely house. Fantastic views. We had a lovely relaxing break

The family thought the photos did not do the place justice Loved the amazing position and excellent space Found the sitting room sofas soggy for back support Access to the farmyard for the children was great and hosts helpful and accessible

We chose Wood cottage for a family weekend, as an early celebration for my husbands 70th Birthday, and what a great choice it was. The cottage is at the end of a farm track, in a beautiful position, totally on it's own, so we didn't have to worry about our grandchildren being too noisy or the dog barking. The Hot Tub was the hit of the weekend, and was very well used, amazing to sit back in the evening and watch all the stars, satellites etc, with no light pollution. The house is very well equipped, very spacious, comfortable & exceptionally clean. All the beds were comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space, chest of drawers etc. The loungesitting room is huge, and can easily fit everyone in, which was great. The owner, Jane, came and introduced herself, and asked if we had everything we needed, explained about the hot tub, and the central heatingwater, as well as giving us some local information, days out etc. Tenbury Wells is the closest town, it's a pretty little market town, the countryside from the farm to the town, was so pretty. We had a lovely Chinese take away from the Singapore Garden,& a great Sunday Roast at The Feathers, on the way into Tenbury Wells You will need to book this, very popular We didn't really go out and about much, as we felt so comfortable and relaxed in the cottage, we didn't need to! We walked down to the farm, as my grandson wanted to show us all the machinery, animals etc. We met Colin, Jane's husband & the farmer as the boys called him! who was also very friendly, and happy to chat about the farm. If I had to be picky, the only couple of things would be that the bath towels were very small, and the duvets are well worn, and could do with changing. But we all agreed we would love to return to Wood Cottage, maybe in the summer, and a Christmas there would be amazing. Thanks to Colin & Jane for lending us your beautiful cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at Woody Cottage! We loved how cosy and homely it felt and it had absolutely everything we needed. Jane was so friendly and the setting was so beautiful being surrounded by countryside and sheep. We left feeling really refreshed and rejuvenated. We've already booked to come again!
Steven
This was a fantastic cottage, plenty big enough for the 8 of us, all adults. The bedrooms are well appointed, the showers were great. The social areas down stairs were perfect for being in doors. The owner was very friendly welcoming and helpful. We loved staying here and would definitely come again and recommend it to all lager parties. Thank you Jane & Phil
Malcolm
Hi the only downside was the dirt track to the Property it would be nice if it was gravel as I had to remove o large amount of mud from my wheel arches on return. I do understand that its on farm land so have to accept that. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The only criticism raised was the use of the hot tub. If you were staying until the Monday the last time you could use the hot tub is 1pm on the Sunday?
Had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely house. The hot tub was great and due to the remote spot this house is it beautiful for star gazing.Very helpful owners. .
Graham
A very nice cottage set in the middle of a farm. The proprietor was very helpful and was always at hand if we needed advice or any other information. All in all a very nice stay.

An absolutely gorgeous property in a fabulous location. Really clean and comfortable.hot tub amazing .a window in one bedroom would not open and so guest was extremely hot and found it difficult to sleep..also could do with some more loo rolls and maybe some plastic champagne flutes for celebrating at parties . Wonderful time had by all ..thank you
We had a fantastic weekend at Wood Cottage. Views were stunning and plenty of room for kids and dog to run around. Hot tub was very popular. Would definitely book again.
Charlie
Amazing property, a huge amount of space and we couldn't think of anything it was missing, possibly a permanent rain cover for using the hot tub in the rain? But even then it was still perfect, on a nice day we didn't leave the patio area The owners were very helpful and informative on the local area and there's no worries about noise with how perfectly out of the way the house is. Won't complain about all the adorable sheep in the surrounding fields either!
Absolutely loved Wood Cottage, beautiful house and stunning setting. We stayed in Lambing season and it was so lovely to sit and watch the lambs with a nice coffee in the morning. There was a party of ten of us for a Hen Party and we had a fabulous weekend. The house is very well equiped with everything you need. The hot tub was amazing and very well used. We were greeted on arrival and given all the info we needed. Would definately recommend Wood Cottage, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a fabulous weekend.
Lovely cottage. Very friendly and helpful. Cannot fault
Nicola
We had the best weekend staying at Wood Cottage celebrating my mum's 60th birthday. The cottage itself was perfect, can't fault it. There was loads of space, beds were comfy, the cleanliness was excellent. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need from kitchen equipment to games. We loved the hot tub! We also have two young children and were very appreciative of the cot, high chair and the owner even provided a stair gate when we asked for one. Finally being on a working farm at this time of year was really special, we got to see tiny lambs who had just been born and the dogs were so friendly. My son is usually very shy and wary of animals but the dogs were so friendly he was stroking them and playing with them by the end of the weekend. Thank you so much for a memorable weekend!
We enjoyed our stay with our two families but after they went home just the two of us rattled around in this well equipped house. Wind and rain with a rare glimpse of sun did not stop us using the hot tub.
Jennifer
We had a lovely weekend in Wood cottage celebrating my husbands 40th birthday. Its a great space and the 10 of us plus a baby fitted in well. The only very minor thing was that it would have been useful to have a second frying pan in the kitchen! We will hopefully be back to stay again one day!
Michele
Some of our party had a bit of difficulty finding it in the dark and it was a bit cold on arrival but we had a great Mum's away weekend at the house. Lovely location. Beautiful house with everything you need. Owner was lovely too. Local towns are nice to wander around. Hot tub was great too. We will book again.
Beautiful house, very peaceful and lovely surroundings. Everything you needed in the kitchen and more. Spacious bedrooms although floors a bit creaky for the early risers. House was spotlessly clean. Great walks too, my dog loved it. Good internet. Ludlow worth a visit. Would definitely recommend this property.
Adrian
Lovely cottage set near owners farm. We had a great stay celebrating our 40th anniversary with family. Plenty of space in the house, hot tub was brilliant. Weather was a bonus. A great time had by all. Thanks very much to the owners of Wood Cottage for an amazing stay
A lovely, spacious, comfortable Holiday House with a well appointed Kitchen. The owner was helpful and on hand if we had any questions. Highly recommended!
Sheila
Lovely facilities and location, ideal for our family hottub weekend get together.
Kayley
What a gem! This property was out this world! And was ideal for our hen weekend away! It ticked all the boxes. We could have easily stayed longer! Nothing was to much trouble and the views where breath taking! Could lint have wished for a better location! Thank you for making us feel welcome! Will definitely be coming back and recommending to all our friends and families.
We had a fabulous few days at Wood cottage. The house is in a great position overlooking the valley and surrounded by fields of sheep and famland. Can't fault the property in anyway and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed in this cottage for 2 nights and had a really lovely stay. The cottage is situated in an idyllic location, surrounded by stunning scenery. The host was very welcoming, the place was clean and it was more spacious than the photos would suggest. The only downside to the venue was the lack of essential ingredients left at the cottage, including salt and pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee and saltsugar. Other than that, we would definitely recommend staying and we wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a fantastic stay at Wood Cottage everything about the place was perfect. It's set apart from all other buildings so you have miles of amazing views over rolling farm land. To add to the idyllic nature of the place, we had spring lambs bouncing around the place, too. The hosts were lovely, friendly and helpful people we enjoyed talking with.
Beautiful location and ideal for a big group family and of families.
Natalie
We had an excellent stay in Wood Cottage. The cottage location was beautiful surrounded by fields which was lovely to sit and watch the sunset. The property, was clean, comfortable and had all the stated amenities. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and surrounding area was perfect for country walks. The host was really helpful and came to check everything was ok with the property on the first morning. Thank you for a brilliant stay.
We had a wonderful stay at Wood Cottage, Colin and Jane were very welcoming and it was really exciting for the children to be staying on a farm. Colin was very patient with their many questions! The cottage is beautiful, we would highly recommend a stay here.
Lovely property, very clean and well kept. We were a family of 9 with that included kids under 10 and a grandparents in their 70s. We all enjoyed the stay, and the kids absolutely loved the hot tub!
Great weekend with the family In a beautiful setting and a great cottage
Carolyn

Christine
Lovely house in beautiful surroundings. Our host was helpful, and available without being intrusive. Great holiday had by all.
Louise
Amazing house in a beautiful setting. Would absolutely love to go back, it was incredibly relaxing. Thanks to the Jane for giving us some tips on days out and pubs to go to, truly stunning place to visit. Thanks again
Fantastic house in a wonderful location. We had a lovely weekend. The photos do not do the house justice, plenty of space, the house was immaculate and the views are stunning. We were made to feel very welcome.
Location and cottage big cottage was lovely and owners really helpful in recommending places to go. Would recommend Peacock Pub for food. The only one piece of feedback is that The picture of the village by the river isnt actually Tenbury but miles away so that was a bit disappointing owner advised they dont use photos so feedback is for Sykes but overall it was a really lovely place and we have a really nice stay.
Fabulous setting with far reaching views. The orientation of the cottage east west meant we were able to enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Our family group ranged in age from 91 years to 5 months old and a thoroughly good time was had by all.
Stephen
Well equipped comfortable holiday cottage. Party of 6 adults 4 children we had a great time. Safe fenced off garden for the children to run around. Hot tub walks play area garden games etc etc. Owners made us welcome and we had no issues.
This cottage exceeded our expectations. The photographs really do not do it justice.. The kitchen area is amazing . The whole layout is just right .Wr enjoyed the hot tub, again that was bigger than I thought . There are plenty of things to do around the area, which is gorgeous. All in all couldn't fault anything . We had an amazing holiday with all the family .
