Enjoy in a rustic dining room or, when the sun follows you home, whip up a culinary creation on the barbecue and dine alfresco in the garden. When the evening chill starts to nip, hop in the hot tub and watch the sun sink into the mountains.

Curl up in the snug or settle into the sitting room with a film on the Smart TV, then challenge your loved ones to a round of pool in the games room. Rinse off the day’s medals of mud in one of three bathrooms or the ground-floor shower room, as the dishwasher and washing machine take care of your plates and laundry.

Welcome the night in a four-poster, king-size, double, or single bed, and drift off to a window-framed view of tomorrow’s adventures. Roll out of bed and into your hiking boots to explore Snowdonia National Park and take advantage of access to the owner’s private mountains, Graig Wen and Gribyn, both over 2000 feet, then grab a much-earned bite at The Buckley Arms – just over a mile from your property!

Venture a little further afield to Barmouth to indulge in a beach day at Barmouth Beach, stroll the scenic Panorama Walk, and catch a show at the Dragon Theatre. Take that short drive to Aberystwyth to treat the history buff to Pen Dinas Hill Fort and the Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum, then admire the beautiful art at Aberystwyth Arts Centre.

Ysgubor Reviews

The listing said towels were provided so we didnt take any, luckily the Georgia sent towels round apologetically, which we were very thankful for, as it was an error on the Sykes site, owners had told Sykes towels were no longer provided but website not updated. Catastrophy averted but couldve been a huge problem being a group of 9. Lovely house with everything else we could need, the children would entertain themselves playing hide and seek it was that large. Wood burners were lovely and the huge dining table seated everyone and was lovely to sit all together whilst the fire was on and eat together. Everyone loved the hot tub especially the children and it was never any trouble to get it topped up when the children were splashing water everywhere. Short drives to Bala and Barmouth and the town of Dolgellau, which was very pretty and quaint with an array of shops and pubs. The fish and chip shop there is great, the fish was amazing.
