Sympathetically restored throughout, showcasing the homes original features, whilst featuring a dedicated games room, stylish interior, and an enclosed garden with private hot tub, The Old Schoolrooms offers a well-equipped base for a family of eight, looking to explore the South of England.

Park up on the private driveway and head indoors through the stable door, firstly reaching the sitting room, with plenty of plush seating to sink into. The kitchen/diner features a plethora of state-of-the-art appliances, plus enough seating for all guests, making it the ideal space to host dinner parties and entertain.

If the weather allows, dine alfresco in the enclosed rear garden, light the barbecue, and watch the sun set, before enjoying a long soak in the covered hot tub. Those who'd prefer an evening of competition, the games room and snug provide plenty of board games and a multi-top games table, sure to entertain the children of your group, before selecting from four well-appointed zip/link bedrooms; the master super-king-size features a TV and en-suite bathroom, whilst the other bedrooms can be set as super-king-size or twin.

Awaken to a soak in the bath, or a refreshing shower in the ground-floor wet room before heading into the village to visit the local farm shop, dine out and stock up on the essentials. Keen explorers and walkers will enjoy the homes proximity to the likes of Silver Street Local Nature Reserve, Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Wookey Hole Caves, Stockhill Wood, and Gough's Cave, all worth visiting whilst in the area.

Head north towards Bath, stopping off at the remains of Prior Park Landscape Garden, a National Trust landmark, whilst the city is brimming with museums, art galleries, independent shops, and award-winning eateries, including The Roman Baths and The Holburne Museum. Bristol can also be reached by car, worth visiting the St Nicholas Market whilst in the area, filled with street food eateries, cafes, and quirky stalls, with the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery and Brunel's SS Great Britain in the region to tour, or for further nature-filled vistas, be sure to hike through the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, within proximity from your home-from-home.

Longleat Safari and Adventure Park - BA12 7NW

You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme.  This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island.  And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.  This really is an animal experience with a difference and you can save money by booking your tickets online.  This attraction is open until the end of October. This wonderful attraction in Gloucestershire will appeal to animal lovers as you will have the chance to see the fantastic work going on and meet the rescued horses, ponies and donkeys.  This place is funded entirely through public donations and they rely on these vital funds.  Kids will love the play barn and straw den where they can run off some energy.  New for 2010 is the Aerial Runway with Jungle Climber.

Highlights include the giant octopus and the cute seahorses. The IMAX 3D cinema system is fantastic - you will feel like you are swimming along with the animals.
