The village nestles under the Cotswold Hills, providing an excellent base for touring with breathtaking scenery through the year. Broadway Tower situated on Broadway hill is the second highest point in the Cotswold’s and offers panoramic views and rural country walks.

Near to the cottage a large variety of footpaths suitable for dog walking await, including the Cotswold Way. A wealth of National Trust properties such as Hidcote Manor House and Garden, Stanway House and Snowshill Manor.

Stratford upon Avon, the birthplace of Shakespeare is renowned for its Tudor architecture. Regency Cheltenham or Stow-on-the-Wold or the ancient wool town of Burford with their many antique shops.

Moreton in Marsh an ancient market town with many old coaching inns are all an easy drive. When entering the property, you will find an open plan lounge/diner with woodburner, TV and DVD with door leading to the enclosed courtyard garden, there is also a well-equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge.

On the first floor you will find 1 double bedroom with ensuite shower and WC there is also a separate bathroom with shower over bath and WC and on the second floor you will find 1 double bedroom. Outside you will find an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture and relaxing wood fired hot tub.

We loved the cosy cottage, especially the prime spot it’s in. Parking was a breezeand it was spotless with fast WiFi. Just a heads up-the upper bathroom isn’t on the same floor, which could be a pain for some.

The dogs had a great time with lots of lovely walks nearby. Plus, the Co-op nearby made shopping super easy. Would definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

The private parking along the lane is handy, just remember to display the permit. Broadway itself is adorable, with quirky cafes and shops, many dog friendly. Avon Leisure Cruises offer a relaxing way to spend an afternoon exploring the beautiful river and the sites all around it. The trips have commentary to point out places of historical importance and interest and are educational as well as fun. During school holidays the area is very popular with tourists and with families and daily activities can be enjoyed.
