When we arrived the cottage was very clean and had all of the essentials you could possibly need, which was a lovely surprise after a 6 hour drive! I cannot rate this stay enough! The house is amazing. Its clean and well equipped. They even left a welcome basket which we all appreciated. The owners kindly left some toiletries which was a godsend. The hot tub was a lovely touch which we enjoyed every evening - It was kept clean and maintained daily. The views are second to none and you are lite rally surrounded by green landscapes and can see the mountains. As a family we have nothing negative to say. In fact we will return one day!!!!

Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour.
