Stable View Cottage Reviews

We as a family thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The owners were very warm and welcoming and offered support no matter how insignificant. The location was fab set in the beautiful ribble valley and nearby Yorkshire dales. We spent everyday walking, visiting the many activities and locations available. The hot tub was a particular treat our 9 year old daughter loved it and was in every day! The weather generally was kind to us. We recommend Stable View Cottage to anyone with a sense of adventure and a feel for the outdoors including a cosy night in with the wood burner aglow.
Debbie
We had a lovely 2 days here. The host was very helpful advising us how to get to places. Lovely log fire in living room for the chilly evenings.
Very relaxing stay in a beautiful area. Spent a few days here, really enjoyed the cottage and it's setting on the stable yard. We were greeted by the host who was very welcoming. Loved seeing the horses and sheep just outside the window and having a chat with them over the garden fence! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay its very cosy & the hot tub was a great addition. The area is a hidden gem, very beautiful with plenty of walks and places to visit.
A beautiful Cottage in an idyllic area. Peace & quiet was our mission and we got that in abundance. Short drive to Clitheroe, Settle & Skipton. Plus many eateries just minutes away. Very comfortable, spacious and well maintained. We will recommend you to our friends and look forward to staying again. Many thanks.

We had a very pleasant short break at Stable View. It's well finished and furnished and we found it very comfortable for a couple. There's a small patio outside with garden chairs and a hot tub unused and a narrow strip of grass bordering the adjacent field.

A fabulous cosy cottage in a beautiful location with everything you need for a great stay. Parking space right outside for simple unloading and a lovely private courtyard with hot tub to relax in at any time of day. The owners are so helpful and friendly and took time to show us around their stables to meet their wonderful horses and dogs. We would thoroughly recommend and look forward to returning. Thank you!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stable View Cottage with the hosts introducing themselves on arrival. The cottage was extremely cosy and provided us and our dog with all the comfort we required. We made use of the log burner on a couple of evenings due to the rather cold and wet weather in July and spent a lovely evening in the hot tub. For a working farm and equestrian center we were extremely impressed at how quiet our stay was. Our only very small niggle was the limited kitchen equipment. We do a lot of self catering holidays and always appreciate a well equipped kitchen. In particular the kitchen knives were rather blunt so invested in a couple. A casserole dish of some sort would also be very useful. Thank you to our hosts for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage and will certainly consider a return visit.
What a great cottage. Very spacious and comfortable and the private parking spot made loading and unloading the car very easy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, just what you need after a long day of walking around the beautiful countryside.
What a lovely cottage, in a beautiful setting. Lovely views all around, we were taken back by how beautiful this area was. The property was clean and well maintained, and comfy beds too. The hot tub was up and running when we arrived, in a lovely court yard garden. We had everything we needed. The owners, Claire and Peter, were extremely welcoming and kind. They had horses and ponies that we got to meet and a lovely foal that we enjoyed watching in the field. We got to meet a lovely litter on puppies that Claire and Pete kindly allowed us to cuddle. We would love to return again as it was so lovely and very relaxed.

Stable view cottage is a lovely little cottage with comfortable beds and everything you need for a lovely holiday . It was great to have plenty of bins in bedrooms and the bathroom and a dressing table and stool to get made up in front of little things but home from home things . Claire and Peter the owners were friendly and even let us look at the horses and the beautiful new born Shetland pony whenever we wanted . There was even a little of puppies!!! The setting is fantastic with lovely views, it was our first time in Ribble Valley but we will certainly be back as the little villages and views were fantastic. Pendle Hill is a must with panoramic views. All in all a brilliant holiday thank you Claire and Peter .
Hosts were very friendly, Very cosy and quiet, Jacuzi was a bonus, Would love to return one day.
Thanks for a fantastic stay in your fabulous cottage. The log burner was very easy to use and well stocked. The bed was super comfy. The accommodation was spot on, and the hot tub, was the icing on the cake. Janice & Martin Manchester.
Stable View Cottage is nicely furnished and clean, with a super comfy bed. Situated in a good area with more sheep than people, plenty of dog walks and dog friendly pubs. Will definitely visit again
Lovely accommodation hot tub is a great bonus and such a treat! Friendly, welcoming host and a great base to explore from and come back to relax.
Phillip
Brilliant cottage, very private the owners are lovely, very friendly and helpful. Would go back again without hesitation, sad to leave it was so nice, and the hot tub is fab.
Rachel
We had a fantastic weekend at the cottage. Claire and Peter were both very accommodating. The cottage was lovely, the log burning fire kept us all nice and toasty after we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. Our daughter especially loved seeing the horses and the little lambs! Thanks so much.
Christopher

The cottage was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. We have no hesitation in recommending this property. We will return in the future. Thank you...

We spent Christmas at the cottage this year. It was amazing. The hot tub was brilliant...even in the rain. The location is great with a nice walk to the local pub. This was our second time returning and i font think it will be the last. Huge thank you to the owners for making it magical. My little boy loved feeding your horse's. Highly recommended
Jonathan
Yet again another fantastic stay at Stable View! A lovely spot, on a quiet site, and the cottage is simply fantastic! Plenty space downstairs, convenient if you have a toddler for them to play. Weve been twice now, and would happily book again next year in fact we probably will!
We had a fabulous stay at stable view cottage it was well equipped and ... We had a fabulous stay at stable view cottage it was well equipped and spotlessly clean warm and cosy we also loved the hot tub we will definitely be returning can't wait
We had a great time, lovely cottage. My only thought is that it would be good to have just one sheet that detailed all the facilities such as location of the freezer my wife thought it was the boiler!, WiFi access etc
Trevor
Great location, lovely cottage and helpful hosts. Hot tub is fun. A good holiday.
We had the most amazing stay at Stable View cottage. The place was clean and modern. The WiFi was fast and the superking bed in the main bedroom made all the difference. We came with our 2 year old and 10 year old and there was so much to do. Stable view is exactly right we saw the horses in the field and stables every day much to our kids delight. Claire and Peter were lovely and friendly however everything was amazing so we needed to ask very little. Would highly recommend! The Hanleys xx

We had the best time at stable view,Claire the host and her family were very welcoming the cottage had everything u need everything exceptionally clean couldnt fault , except a dishwasher haha but went back to hand washing, even though we didnt cook much , we took a little bbq for evening meals as the cottage was so relaxing and loved watching the girls horse riding, we definitely are going back to this cottage as we were 12 hr away from the 3 peaks and hawes ,2 lovely pubs near by too so see u again x
Stephen
Beautiful location, own parking spot adjacent to property. Large, spotless Hot Tub with lights and adjustable temperature and jets. Near faultless on every front. My only suggestion would be to change the old style latches on the bedroom and bathroom doors, very noisy and fiddly to use at night. Otherwise, a wonderful week.
We had a really lovely time at Stable View Cottage. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so could enjoy being outside in the courtyard and little grassed area. The cottage is well equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. It is in a beautiful area and we would love to return one day.
Great cottage Claire & Peter are great hoists
Beautiful clean cottage with everything you could need or want. Hosts were lovely and very friendly they even let me bottle feed a newborn lamb which was on my bucket list. The hot tub was just lovely on an evening so warm and relaxing. Nice walks in the surrounding area. Pubs nearby were quite expensive we found for food.We visited nearby markets which had lovely fresh fruit n veg and local produce very tasty! We had a lovely relaxing week would highly recommend this lovely cottage stay to anyone. X
We loved this cottage, it has everything you could possibly need. It's setting is perfect, surrounded by countryside, and walks you can do straight from the cottage. It was nice to see the horses on the training ground. Claire, the owner was so nice and helpful, and the milk and biscuits was thoughtful for a cuppa on arrival. Thank you so much for a lovely relaxing holiday.
Katherine
We had a lovely stay at Stable view. The cottage was beautiful and very welcoming. It was lovely to wake up to seeing the sheep and watching the horses in the menage. Great get away with our lovely dog.
Stephen
We had a lovely few days in the beautiful countryside the accommodation was just what we needed and expected everything to a high standard and all our needs provided for. Not being country folks we enjoyed seeing and hearing the horses. Sadly it was a bit too cold to use the hot tub. We found the best food at the nearby Spreadeagle pub in nearby Sawley We would recommend this holiday cottage
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was immaculately clean. The owner was very friendly and kind. My daughter loved seeing the animals as well as relaxing in the hot tub. The local amenities were great too and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the local area. Thank you so much for a fantastic holiday!
Demelza
Would have been great if the hot tub had a shelter over it as unfortunately we didn't get to use it much as it rained all week. A dvd player would have been well received in the living room. Everything else was great, well kept and tidy, with helpful information book and the property was just the right size for a small family
We had a lovely relaxing stay. Such a lovely location, and lovely hosts. We have already recommended to friends
Stephanie
This place is a little gem. It's was so nice that with 2 hours of being there we booked again.
We had such a fabulous stay at Stable View Cottage. The cottage itself is so spacious, the facilities available meant we could selfcater easily. The hot tub and log burner were just what we needed to top off a relaxing week away exploring LancashireNorth Yorkshire. Claire was so welcoming, thank you! We didnt realise how close we were to so much to do. The World of Beatrix Potter and the Lake District were an hour away, Blackpool was an hour away, so many little market towns around like Clitheroe and Skiptpn that have markets on different days. The Spread Eagle at Sawley, 5 minute drive away, served us a delicious meal one evening. Well definitely be back to explore more, were hoping for next year!
Pauline
My husband , dog & I have just had a wonderful weekend at Stable View. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend away, we would highly recommend it. There are lots of places to go walking you'll need to drive there In the village there's a hotelrestaurant called the Coach & Horses, we would recommend it for Sunday lunch .
Matthew
Had a lovely stay over a cold and wet weekend I January. The cottage was lovely and warm and cosy, helped by a wood burner for which there was plenty of wood supplied. The hot tub was a blessing for when it wasn't raining. The patio area was really well kept and all the furniture and fittings were of a great quality. The sofas and bed were super comfy.
Robert
Just finished my fantastic stay at Stable View Cottage. The cottage is a credit to the owners who are really lovely people. Me my wife and son enjoyed the use of the hot tub in the evening and then getting warm by the log fire. I would recommend this holiday let to anyone.
