Lovely, spacious property which was well presented. We were a party of 10 and we never felt on top of one another as there was so much room. We did have some issues with the hob and the washing machine but both were rectified by the owner who responded to all our queries in a timely manner and even offered us free tickets to a local event which was a lovely touch. We particularity loved the garden space and the lazy spa which were used every day! A wonderful stay in a prime location we'd definitely recommend!

A fantastic holiday property in a great location. Very well equipped with an excellent welcome pack. Grandchildren loved the swingslide and the hot tub. An ideal place to celebrate a birthday with family. Rachel replied very quickly to any texts. We would definitely recommend Shell Manor and Seahouses.

Shell Manor is an absolute gem in a wonderful location. 20 minutes walk into Seahouses which has lovely independent shops with everything you need. 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach. We have stayed in many self catering places over the years, but have never had such a welcome. 2 gorgeous vases with fresh flowers in the living room, a huge selection of amazing goodies in the welcome pack, and lots of little extra touches around the house. The house itself was spotlessly clean, very tastefully decorated, with all the equipment you could possibly want. We absolutely loved our stay there and we will definitely be returning. Well done Rachael and Neil, you are doing a fantastic job.

We had a lovely family holiday at Shell Manor. It's a great location. The beach is a five minute walk and the centre of Seahouses 1520 minutes. There are beach coastal walks on your doorstep and Seahouses is the perfect base to explore Alnwick, Bamburgh, Farne Islands etc. The house itself was amazing with lovely rooms and a great back garden for our little one to play. Rachael and Neil made a lot of effort to make us feel welcome and really could not do enough for us. The little touches were lovely and much appreciated. Following a disaster with another propertysite, we contacted Sykes for help to find us holiday location for a post pandemic family get together. We were feeling low and not hopeful. However, Sykes were extremely helpful and told us about Shell Manor. What a wonderful experience! We have just had an amazing, longed for, family holiday with our children and grandchildren at Shell Manor. The property is perfect, with spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, great amenities. The children absolutely loved the garden, and the hot tub was their favourite thing! The area is lovely and we enjoyed the beach, boat trip, local areas and Alnwick Castle and Gardens. The owners could not have been more attentive or made us feel more welcome. Highly recommeded and we will definitely return. We wanted to take the house home with us! We have had a perfect family holiday with wonderful memories to treasure.

Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out. Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals. Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit. The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
