The cottage could not have been any better everything was perfect and was of good quality. The cleanliness was better than any cottage I have been in. Thanks to Mark.
Brian
A beautiful very well equipped, cottage, very comfortable clean and warm. Its location is ideal for exploring the lovely Northumberland coast.
Richard
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.
Joanna
Great base for exploring. Property is built to a high standard, luxurious bathrooms with powerful showers, spacious yet warm, quiet at night. Very clean, beds extremely comfortable, one good large TV (no DVDs provided). The welcome pack was greatly appreciated. Do note, there are no rails inside the property but bath mats and a bath seat were provi ded, there are thermostats on every wall, boiler vibrates through wall but didn't turn on at night and the outdoor area is very sunny in the morning.
Joan
we had a lovely holiday at Thornbrae cottage, it is in a good position to visit the west coast of Northumbria, with it's many Castles and Beautiful Beaches.

I dont have the words to express well enough how amazing our stay was. Clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, excellent location the list goes on. I wanted to move in! We explored so many beautiful areas from here. The cottage could not have been any better, I cant think of any negatives at all it was just perfect for our little family vacati on.
Debbie
This was such a great find, well located for Alnwick castle and gardens, the coast and so many other interesting places and beautiful places within easy reach. Coming back after a days walking to a reclining chair and a hot tub was amazing. The place was clean and well kept, we're already talking about staying again.
Ray
One of the best cottages we have stayed in everything you needed was there and owners were very helpful so very pleased
Jennifer
Clean, comfortable cottage. Single beds are on the small side for adults. Friendly owners Ideal situation for exploring Northumberland Would gladly stay here again
Ian
A really beautiful and well presented cottage - probably the most impressive that we have ever stayed at over the last few years with a fabulous games room and hot tub. A truly great place and location in Alnwick providing easy access to the various castles and monuments in Northumbria such as Alnmouth, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Hadrian's Wall, L indisfarne to name but a few. Would also highly recommend the Oaks Hotel - especially for Sunday Lunch with their massive Yorkshire Puddings.
Gordon
First class accommodation which pays attention to detail. Cottage is well suited to use by someone with disabilities as everything on the level, double doors, wooden floors and a walk-in shower that can accommodate a seat. Great location.
Elaine
Clean, cosy, well equipped cottage, 15min walk into town, Alnwick castle and gardens. Hot tub lovely after a day out sight seeing. Owners very welcoming.
Isabelle
Fabulous properties at Thornbrae, we have now stayed at both The Retreat and The Cottage - beautiful properties, fully equipped with everything needed for a great holiday and the hot tub is great after a day sightseeing in Northumberland.
Claire
15 minute walk to the centre of Alnwick, but down a very busy road - so busy that the traffic makes the cottage vibrate, especially when large vehicles pass - it is also noisy if you open any windows. Single beds with single quilts in the 2nd bedroom makes it difficult for more than 2 adults to stay at the cottage comfortably - and we are not large adults. Overall, very clean and warm (too warm at times despite turning the underfloor heating down as far as possible)
Mark
We had a lovely stay at Thornbrae Cottage. It is a relatively new and purpose built unit finished and equipped to a very good standard. The host was very helpful and friendly and gave us a generous and unexpected welcome pack on arrival. The unit is walking distance to the lovely town of Alnwick and is great for visiting other parts of Northumberla nd. The heating system was uncomfortably hot. We left windows open at night but the road noise disrupted sleep. Other than this - perfect.
Katherine
Very comfortable, and relaxed. Prefect location for visiting places. Easy to find the cottage. Easy to travel.
Andrew
Thornbrae Cottage was perfect. Modern, clean, warm and cosy, it was in the perfect location to explore Northumberland. Underfloor heated and wonderfully equipped there is nothing more we could have asked for and the hot tub was an added bonus. The owners were friendly and helpful with queries. This was our second visit and I am sure we will book ag ain.
David
Ideal cottage for 4 of us. Very comfortable, relaxing and well appointed. Location ideal for easy walk into Alnwick.
David
Very well maintained and clean cottage in Alnwick with an easy walk to both castle and gardens
