Part of the contemporary stone-built Heather House development, Goosander is a wonderful Northumberland getaway for a family or group of adults. A stunning stone cottage allows you to unpack with ease from an off-road parking spot and welcomes you into a light and airy open-plan living area, where there is a fantastic stone feature wall housing a woodburning stove and wooden flooring stretching throughout.
Here you will be able to curl up with a good book in one of the leather sofas or cook up a storm in the white wood panelled kitchen, where many amenities cater to your culinary needs, and you can enjoy your meal at the dining table, making this a fantastic social hub for all guests to enjoy, as well as allowing for easy access to the patio outside through glass doors. Four homely king-size bedrooms can be found throughout this property, each with their own character, tasteful storage and en-suite shower rooms, and one of the first-floor king-size bedrooms includes a wonderful balcony and one of the ground-floor bedrooms sports French windows.
Outside, enjoy coffee in the sunshine on the patio, or there is the option of a sauna adding an air of opulence to your stay. The property rests in a hamlet in Budle Bay, where you will have access to the local spa and two lovely eateries, The Apple Inn and The Apple Core, as well as a fantastic sandy beach and coastal walks.
Head a little further from the property to find Bamburgh where you can stock up on essentials and try out local produce at the deli, enjoy another sandy beach and visit the magnificent castle. From here you will be able to easily reach Holy Island, where there are many amazing sites to visit, including Lindisfarne Castle, Castle Point Lime Kilns and Lindisfarne Priory, as well as several museums, local shops, eateries and a sandy beach.
