A delightful, well equipped and comfortable cottage in a quiet, beautiful setting. It was very clean, with a maid service halfway through our two week stay which was appreciated. It was in easy reach of most of the local attractions both coastal and moorland. A perfect place to unwind. A lovely property, just a short walk from the cinder track giving access to great food and drink at the Hayburn Wyke Inn. The property is set back from the road and there is no traffic noise whatsoever, very peaceful indeed. The owners where easily contacted by telephone for any queries and could not have been more helpful. We loved it.

What a fantastic location tucked away from the rest of the world. Beautiful cottage with all the facilities you need and some extras. The hot tub is definitely worth it and then relaxing in front of the fire . Beautiful pubs near by for meals and we can definitely recommend the 3 jolly sailors for a meal that's is cooked to excellent standards remi nding you of what your gran would have made and the portions are huge . If you want time to relax and chill this is an excellent place to stay
Lynette
Great property furnished and equipped to a high standard. Excellent welcome pack and we loved the hot tub! We can see why we paid a little more but it was maybe a little pricey. The lounge could be made a little less crowded with less furniture and an extra comfy chair for the fourth person. However overall excellent!
Nick
We are repeated visitors to Wykewood Cottage and recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing break with facilities and amenities to suit warm summer outside days, or cold winter inside sanctuary days.
Stuart
Absolutely beautiful cottage in a peaceful, pretty location. Very nicely fitted out, and plenty of wildlife in the gardens and woods surrounding the property - owls, rabbits, deer and more! A great base for exploring Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, too. Thoroughly recommended.
Lynsey
Wykewood is absolutely stunning - everything has been thought of and it is to such a high standard. It is in a peaceful location... we feel like we have been on holiday a month not a week! We had visits from Roe Deer, Rabbits and could hear the Tawny Owls. Hot tub was used daily and the hamper on arrival was a welcome addition- thank you. Perfectly located between Scarborough and Whitby we had plenty of adventures away from the cottage. We will certainly be back. Missing the views already.
Kate
For those who like peace and quiet with the comforts of home, this is just perfect. We particularly liked the concern for the environment that the build has incorporated. This is followed through with eco-friendly cleaning products. The welcome hamper was a nice touch. We always mark our holidays out of 10 and this scored the perfect 10.
Leah
If you're reading these reviews and wondering whether Wykewood could be as good as it looks - it really is! We loved our week there. The house is luxurious - really well designed and equipped. The garden is lovely and peaceful and the hot tub is a treat at the end of a long walk. Great location for exploring all of the nearby coast - Scarborough, F iley, Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby and Staithes. Walking back from the nearby pub we spotted deer, an owl and a badger. A fabulous place to stay
Trevor
This Property is in a super location and very well equipped.
Sally
We had a lovely relaxing week at Wykewood really easy to book and liaise with. A beautiful house and so close to the wonderful coastline for walking and cycling. Woodfired hot tub was an absolute treat at the end of a day.
Denise
This was our second stay, home from home. A beautifully appointed cottage in such peace and tranquility, so relaxing yet close to all the popular east coast area. Lots of local beautiful walks, we were so lucky to see a lot of wildlife, so many roe deer this time around and the majestic barn owls, not forgetting the many, many cute rabbits. The wel come hamper and extra treats were very much appreciated. We think the most perfect of cottages we have ever visited, highly recommend, enjoy !!
Dianne

Robert
Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, lovely location. Perfect break.
Darran
This was our third stay at Wykewood for a reason. Everything has been thought of, every luxury catered for and just the little touches - seasoning, oils and the welcome pack all make this place wonderful. The cottage is beautifully situated far away from and road and noise that youll think youre in paradise.
David
Stunning cottage inside and out. Serene location. Perfect for spotting wildlife. Made sure we had enough food and supplies for the first couple of days and planned a day out sight seeing and to restock, knowing the remote location. 20 min walk along the cinder track is the Hayburn Wyke Inn. Great for food and a couple of drinks. Take a torch if you are going to be walking back in the dark. The hot tub was very welcome after a days walking or sight seeing.
Andrew

Quinn
Fantastic cottage - well appointed - great location.
Catherine
Superb cottage. So tranquil - if you are after complete rest and relaxation this is the place. Very comfortable with walks from the door. Had the most amazing festive stay.
Allen
What a beautiful place to stay! The bedrooms with ensuite facilities were excellent and the kitchen/dining/living area were really homely. The hot tub was nice, and the surroundings were really pleasant. The Bryherstones pub along the road was really inviting should you want to go out for the evening and the steaks were excellent, although a little pricey. Landlord and staff were very welcoming! I'd certainly recommend this cottage, and will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area!

Family tickets cost £46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.
