3 Wilson Cottages Reviews

Had a lovely stay nice area lovely cottage hot tub was great
The cottage was in a quiet village with no local shop or really anywhere to walk the dog. We found a farm track just up the road but not sure if we were trespassing. turn left from the cottage and cross over the road, track goes up a bit of a hill. The cottage had no cleaning items anti bac spray etc but did provide washing and dishwasher tablets, two tea towels but no hand towel for the kitchen. The garden is fairly small, slabbed and slate, no grass area, the hot tub was great but I did notice some dirt residue on the bottom before we first used it and when switched on, it must have churned it up as it left a soap scum around one of the edges. We found lots of fantastic walking areas, but had to travel between 30 mins to just over an hour as the village is very remote. Can definitely recommend Raincliffe Woods and Falling Foss.
Very nice property in a nice little village, Cottage was clean on arrival and well equipped with everything you need, Hot Tub was great. Had a great stay and would Definity recommend it for a place to stay.
Robert
The property is a great base for visiting the Yorkshire coast line, the hot tub is a great bonus. The living room could do with refreshing as an electrician the sky lead to the tv looks a mess, also because we did get some hot weather a couple of fans would of been great.
Valerie
Lovely peaceful spot to stay in, nice cosy house, biscuits and milk were a lovely welcome.
What a lovely cottage and just a short drive to the coast. Spotlessly clean. Quality fixtures and fittings. Then to top it off a hot tub. One of the nicest weve stayed in. Would definitely recommend.
A fabulous holiday home, great facilities, and location
What a wonderful property. Everything required is there. Lovely safe garden for our dog. Spotlessly clean. 2 lovely pubs next door. No shop in the village so popped in to farm shop and got a few supplies. Will be back. Everyone so friendly.
Nicola
We as a family of three stayed at 3 Wilson Cottages for three nights over Easter weekend. We thought that the cottage was very true to its listing and the pictures provided on the website were very accurate. The house was clean and well maintained, with comfy beds and a wellequipped kitchen. It was great to have the hot tub, which was clean and set to a good a temperature, though it is slightly overlooked by the neighbours. After reading other reviews that said the house was freezing we took hot water bottles as we were expecting to be cold. However, though the radiators were turned off when we first arrived, we thought that they soon warmed up when they were turned on. The log burner in the living room was amazing and we wished we had one in our home! We lit it on each of the three evenings and the house was super toastie, so we didn't need the hot water bottles after all! It was also nice to have the two pubs in the village and we ate in The Star one evening, which was reasonably priced and had tasty food. It's a bit of a trek to the nearest supermarket, but the location was good if you want a quite few days away. If you want a more actionpacked break be prepared to travel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend 3 Wilson Cottages for a couple or small family.
Brilliant property will book again

On arrival the property was freezing cold, no heating had been left on and with only one radiator downstairs it took all evening to warm up, had I arrived later than the check in time with children we would have struggled to be comfortable here. The stone floor in kitchen doesnt help this. No instructions or directions were left for where the external bins were and having arrived with a dog this would have been helpful. A blanket for the sofa to protect it would have been of benefit thankfully I bought my own for the dog. The hot tub had a funky smell to it and lost heat very quickly. The cottage was well equipped with loads of kitchen bits and had board games and puzzles and books. The tv was a smart tv which was great would have liked a tv in the bedroom. Was very close to the local pub and the pub was very friendly.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The place was perfect for my greyhound, the garden was fully fenced off with 6ft fences and so I didn't need to worry about her escaping. The hot tub was superb and really warm. I loved the coziness of the living room with the log burner. I really want one at home now. There was everything we needed and even was left a complimentary cake in the fridge with some milk. There was even a tea towel, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets and washing machine capsules. Board games and plenty of stuff to watch on TV if weather was rubbish. Everything you needed it was there! Hosts were amazing. I can't recommend this place enough and I will definitely be back!!
Really nice cottage in a fabulous area, property owner very quick to sort out our hot water situation new part for the tank sorted within a couple of hours couldnt fault, cottage really clean and the added bonus is the hot tub, only downside was the local pub shut down for Xmas and didnt open until the new year! !!! Plenty of walks with the dog to go on
Lovely place. Very comfortable & well equipped.
Wonderful house, clean and cosy, very near 2 pubs. One quite expensive and one lovely pub meals. Both very friendly. No shop as stated also not a lot of long walks in the area as wed thought, needed to travel, but not a problem as only 20 mins or so from Brid and Filey beaches and Dalby Forest about the same distance. Very small and quiet village, fabulous relaxing break, just what we needed. Hot tub lovely. As was teacoffeesugarmilk & cake provided by hosts. Everything went smoothly, no issues with anything. Would stay again if ever in area. Thank you Sykes and Owners.
Bernadette
The cottage was well maintained, it was everything we wanted,we loved the hot tub. The homemade buns were a lovely treat thank you.it took us a while to find the cutlery.the cottage was in a ideal area for us close to bridlington and Scarborough, unfortunately we had the storm on our stay, but we made the most of our stay,we will definitely come here again, loved it quality family time
Lovely cottage hot tub fantastic has everything you need
Ann-marie
Beautiful well equipped cottage, very clean. Tea,coffee and milk provided. Two friendly local pubs, but not open all the time. No local shops so you just need to be organised
Steven
Great property 2 Close pubs. Only 1 thing nothing to do with this property the neighbours back gate kept up 1st 2 nights banging in the wind.
Well maintained and clean in a picturesque village. Quiet area and lots todo . Home from home has everyyou need and more.
Benoit
Logement parfait, propre, confortable et au calme Perfect accommodation, clean, comfortable and peaceful.
Bronwen
Comfortable cottage in a small quiet village hot tub a bonus. Nearest shop 4 miles away though not less than a mile as in the listing but good local pub. Dishwasher wasn't in a good condition so didn't use.
The cottage was perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and well thought out, meaning it was easy for us to go away with a baby, toddler and a dog. The location is very remote, but in the most beautiful, idyllic way.
Lovely cottage in a quiet village only 20 mins from Filey. Had a nice short break with our 2 boys and dog.
Joanne
Lovely clean cottage. Really enjoyed the cake. Ideally situated for discovering the local area.
