Our visit to Boo Barn was superb, the cottage had everything that you needed, the jacuzzi was great after after gentle walk into Settle and back , if you need a relaxing break Boo Barn is the place to go highly recommended.

The cottage was in a quiet area but not far from the town. Beds were comfortable and plenty of hot water but you have to run the taps for a few minutes before it comes through. Downstairs wet room is good with grab rails and plenty of room to use a shower chair. There is no fold down shower seat. We would go again.

We took x2 service users from a care home for 1 of them birthday's and it beautiful perfect view can not complain at all. It was really lovely seeing all the animals and perfect when going for a walk around. It was really clean throughout. When arriving and seeing Boo Barn it was beautiful place to stay. A really lovely cottage in beautiful countryside with easy access to Settle, Malham, Ribblehead, Ingleborough and handy dog walk along River Ribble up to Stainforth Force etc. Plenty of parking at front and useful courtyard at back in which dog could wander around/sleep. Comfortable interior and fully equipped with essential items (dishwasher, wash ing machine, microwave, TVs, cooker). Hot tub not really needed in recent hot spell but used a couple of times and worked well.

This cottage has been renovated to a really high standard with lovely oak fixtures. Whilst not hot-tub people we did enjoy this feature during the warm weather. The cottage is quite compact and would be a squeeze for 6 people and it could do with more storage. Despite a capable kitchen there is nowhere to put your own dry food. The bedrooms are sma ll but it is a really peaceful location and the local walks along the Ribble are great.

Boo's Barn is a cleverly converted cottage, which is immaculately presented. There is an enclosed yard to the rear of the cottage which is good for letting dogs out for their morning abloutions. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales are on the door step with a wealth of walks. Finally, once a hard days walking is complete the hot tub is ideal for resting w eary bones. Altogether I would highly recommend this cottage.

The perfect location for a peaceful walking holiday. We enjoyed some fantastic walks including Pen Y Ghent, Malham and Ingleton, all very easily reached. Jumping in the hot tub to ease our aches and unwind while dinner cooked and then cosying in front of a log fire will take some beating. The 3 ensuite bedrooms suited 3 ladies to a tee, no queueing for showers or baths. The cottage is modern but characterful and Stuart, the owner, very approachable and helpful. Highly recommended

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed. A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family. From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out. Also popular is the kids tractor play area. For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station. The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction. With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun. You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes. Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money. There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families. The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
