Glen House Reviews

We booked Glen House to celebrate a family birthday, which included 5 adults and 3 children. The facilities were excellent, in particular those on the lower ground floor, which kept the kids fully occupied. The cinema room proved to be a big hit with all concerned. The area was very quiet and the property well located to explore the surrounding area. Requests have already been made, from those attending, for a further booking to be made, but during school holidays the next time. All in all a very relaxing time that was enjoyed by all attending.
Currently we are extremely unhappy as we have not had our deposit back or any response reference issues at the property. Would not recommend this property until problems are solved.
Absolutely gorgeous house. Plenty of space, lovely decor & fantastic games room. Howard, the owner has thought of everything! Especially loved the cinema room grab a drink and some popcorn and settle down with a favourite film. There's also a local pub, Dick Hudsons, which serves fantastic food, definitely recommend a visit. Had a great holiday here, even the weather didn't bother us.
This property was fantastic. Me and my partner took my 18 year old son and 3 of his friends and my 16 year old daughter with two of her friends. First off Howard was great, met us there and showed us around, told us what we needed to no and then never contacted us once he left but made it clear that any problems he would be contactable at all times and there to help us. I was worried with not many shops etc in the immediate vicinity that we may have moaning about boredom but there was none of it. The house is very well equipped especially the ground floor for the kids with the hot tub, cinema room, pool table etc. we also took our Labrador and he loved it also and the hosts have made sure there is everything for your four legged family member also. Cant recommend this place highly enough.

7 of us stayed for the week and the house was first class, it has everything you need and more. Downstairs is a complete entertainment zone that has something for everyone. The beds are very comfortable which can be rare in a holiday let but none of us could fault them. Just a pity the weather wasn't good to make the most of the great back garden and mid level decking. Kitchen had everything you need and a great space for socialising with a superb dining room. Main living area is beautiful but we never spent much time in there as the kitchen was perfect for us. We met Howard and Lisa who were very nice and always happy to help, a real joy and a great house to spend time with family.
We had a great week at Glen House. Age range from 11 to 68 and everyone loved it! Facilities are perfect for all ages and everything you could need is in the house. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas and the hot tub is great for when you get back! If you are going to stay here, one thing I will say is watch out for the glass coffee table, all 9 of us have matching bruises on our shins! We would love to go back again next year! Thanks Howard!
Would definitely recommend this place. The property had enough to keep us entertained the whole trip. The area was quiet and peaceful and had plenty of walks nearby
Catherine
We had a great stay at Glen House, the house is beautiful and has everything you could need for a family trip away! Howard was really helpful and available and we would definitely recommend this house and hope to return for another visit! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Had a fantastic weekend with the family celebrating my 40th birthday. The house was amazing and something for everyone to enjoy. The games room and movie room was awesome. The owner was really friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this property for a lovely relaxing, fun holiday. Will definitely be booking again.
Andrew
Amazing property. The games room kept the family occupied for ages and the hot tub. The owner was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and every room was comfortable. Would highly recommend this property for any holiday break
Stayed in the property for a 50th birthday for 4 nights party of 9 ages 5 to 75 and one small dog . Howard met us at the property very friendly and offered to show us how the heating worked and if we needed anymore information. The property has everything you need for a family stay even down to highchair travel cot and retractable stair gates we did not need these but handy to know if we book again with a growing family .Spent most of the stay in the downstairs games room cinema room and hot tub.Clean comfortable and peaceful house to holiday.
Maureen
Fabulous accommodation which exceeded our expectations. The house was very clean and well maintained and had all the facilities you would want. There was plenty of room for our family group of 10, ages ranging from 10 months to 70. The hot tub was a huge success as was the cinema and games rooms, and all were very much appreciated. Howard, the host, was very friendly and helpful. The property is in a lovely location, near enough to shops and great walking from the front door.

Very well maintained clean property. The owner was really friendly and approachable. The facilities here were brilliant from the hot tub to the games rooms, they created a fun filled stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend Glen House.
I booked up for a surprise birthday for my partner. And glad I did so. The facilities were ace. We had a little issue with the hot tub but after calling the owner Howard he was straight around to resolve the problem. The pubs and food locally were lovely. Highly recommend booking this property
Wowthis place is amazing! Our family group ranged from 80 to 16 & there was something for everyone, though the house is so vast we could have avoided each other, if wed wanted to! Everything we needed was there, and more. Certainly value for money. The owner a lovely chap greeted us & explained how everything works e.g. heating, dishwasher, etc. Totally recommend this superb holiday homeyou wont be disappointed.
Beautiful property! The games rooms had something to entertain everyone, the hot tub was wonderful ideal for unwinding, the garden even though we are in the middle of winter was a lovely space to reset and unwind. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and very user friendly, the dining area comfortably sat 8 of us. The welcome pack was a lovely finishing touch and was very much appreciated. There were retractable baby gates fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs which were a godsend. We had a wonderful stay wish it had been longer as we didnt have time to make full use of all that was on offer
We stayed at this property as a family of 10. We booked for an 80th birtday and also an 18th. Everyone had a fantastic time. We arrived and Howard showed us around with a warm welcome. The property is spacious and homely. The decor is wonderful and the sofa's and beds very comfortable. As previous reviews have stated the games facilities and hot tub are excellent. Everyone joined in. The surrounding area is wonderful for dog walks our 2 loved them and not too far, to towns to look around and explore. We also had THE most amazing curry in Bradford. Thank you for a most wonderful week where we made lots of treasured family memories.
We all had the most amazing stay in Glen House. The property was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The facilities were second to none, bedrooms were beautifully furnished as was the whole property. If you are looking at booking Glen House I would highly recommend you do. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Howard. We will definitely be back
From the moment we arrived, it became clear that this house is truly a cut above the rest. Nestled right next to a moor, the location alone is worth writing home about, offering both tranquility and a stunning natural backdrop. But it's the house itself that takes the spotlight. Every room is a testament to luxury and comfort. The cinema room provided an unparalleled moviewatching experience, making us feel like we were in our private theatre. For those who love games, the house is a paradise. The pool table room was a centre of friendly competition and laughter, while the hot tub offered a perfect relaxation spot after a day of exploring. The games room and the football table room were also brimming with fun, ensuring that there was never a dull moment during our stay. What truly elevates the experience is the attention to detail in the furnishings. Comfortable, beautiful and stylish, every piece seemed thoughtfully chosen, adding to the overall elegance of the space. And last but certainly not least, the owner of this amazing property deserves special mention. Their helpfulness and dedication to ensuring we had a memorable stay were evident from the outset. They were always available to assist or offer advice about the local area, which greatly enhanced our experience. In conclusion, this house is more than just a place to stay it's a luxurious escape that offers a plethora of activities and comforts. It's ideal for families, groups of friends, or anyone looking to indulge in a highstandard living experience surrounded by the beauty of nature. We left with unforgettable memories and a promise to ourselves to return.

AMAZING!! This has been the most relaxing week in a long time . Howardowner met us upon arrival, gave a tour of the house, guide to local pubs, shops walks etc. Everything you need is catered for, so many little extras provided. We went as family break for my husbands retirement, 2 sons, daughter their partners , grandchild and granddog, it was so nice playing games, eating meals round the table together, the cinema room was a hit to watch the football on! All in all, I can't fault the house, area, walks etc. Massive Thankyou to Howard for sharing his beautiful house. The Dales
Amazing home it has definitely got the WOW factor we had the most enjoyable time. The games room was a god send as one of the days we stayed it was raining all day. The owners had thought of everything even down to the welcome pack which was a lovely surprise. We would definitely come back again perhaps in the summer this time so we can use the lovely veranda. Thank you for letting us share your home.

Well equipped house with amenities nearby. Lots of dog walks and areas of interest. The house entertained on the bad weather days. Driveway quite steep although plenty of room for cars. Would recommend this property.
Absolutely blown away! Ive never experienced a holiday like it! Glen house is amazing and the facilities it provides keep you entertained indefinitely. From the opulent rooms and decor, including ownerLisas, own art work, to the hot tub, pool table, game consoles for the younger ones and the cinema room etc etc. There is something for everyone, whatever your age. I can honestly say that I cant remember the last time Ive felt so relaxed! The welcome pack is fantastic and the hosts are just the loveliest people. Nothing was too much bother. I highly recommend staying here, its the house that keeps on giving! A massive thank you to the hosts, Howard and Lisa for sharing their beautiful home. Ive already rebooked for next year and I cant wait to return.

Deborah
This holiday let was HOME for the week! We were met with a very warm welcome and guide round the house by the hosts. It was comfortable, clean and a fully stocked kitchen utensils etc. with everything you needed. Paired with a beautiful dining room for family meals. There were 7 of us staying in the house for my 60th Birthday with ages ranging from 24 to 94 for the other guests. Even though we had a lot of rain during our stay, there was plenty to do for everyone. Also, plenty of space to all have your own space if you wanted. The house kept us very well entertained. Fab laundry room too! The only thing that I would ask people to note is, that whilst there is a ground floor bedroom and W.C for less abled guests which I needed for my mother there is not a shower on the ground floor, something I overlooked and assumed there was a shower in the W.C when I read it. Would definitely go again, lovely area with plenty to do and visit.
Annamaria
