The House at The Sitwell Arms Reviews

As soon as I walked in and saw the stair . thought WOW. The place is lovely and the rooms are massive. I think a couple of rooms could have a single bed for children. They could have more people in there, especially on the top floor . The garden is lovely and the view fantastic. The patios are massive and the hot tub fabulous. It is one of the loveliest places I have stayed. The dog loved it too. The only thing which could improve is not a big enough room for the pool table the fellas said. Could not push their arms back enough to hit the ball properly. Also only one set of keys

Lovely house, large airy rooms and private dog proof garden furnished to an acceptable standard. Ive never stayed anywhere with so much storage space and hundreds of hangers! We were a party of 6 adults, 4 children aged 6 months 7 years and 2 dogs so we felt comfortable with that standard. However, although there was a large kitchen with lots of storage space there was only a standard sized fridge large enough for 23 people but ridiculously small for 10! One of the beds was propped up on a breeze block and dipped in the middle. Very poor considering what we paid for the week. There were also a lot of little niggles for example dripping taps, curtains needing rehanging and a sloping shelf in one of the bathrooms. Having said all that it is a very pleasant place to stay and would stay again.
Whilst the stay was great and the property spacious and perfect for our needs, there were a few errors in the listing No Study , no Air hockey, another description not seen until after booking states en suite in every bedroom 2 are not including the enormous bedroom on the second floor. The hot tub was marvellous and there was a children's play area not in the description which had a swing, slide, climbing frame and trampoline. There were a few signs of maintenance needed several light bulbs needed pool table equipment needs looking at and most importantly, the electric gate often jammed caused by a rogue switch mechanism on the bottom of the gate easily fixable but only from inside! We were not put off by any of the above, it felt like a home from home only much bigger, we were sad to leave the house at the end of the week and would unhesitatingly return and recommend, Children who had to be dragged out to go on excursions and dog were well catered for.
