Nestled on the owner's working farm, on the fringes of the Peak District National Park, and with easy access to Holmfirth, is Long Ing Farm. This stone-built detached cottage is bursting with character from head to toe, with exposed beams, open eaves and traditional furnishings.
The farmhouse kitchen boasts a lovely dining area and a fabulous AGA range cooker integrated with high spec units and sleek granite worktops. A woodburner sits in the lounge next door, adding warmth to those cool winter nights, as the family gets together in front of the TV.
Large plush sofas are perfect for relaxing after the many walks you can venture on within the National Park. Just off from here is the conservatory, creating harmony between the interior and outdoor spaces.
Take yourself off for a quiet read, or simply enjoy the countryside scenery. There is also a large dining table in this room.
Upstairs are three double bedrooms, one with a four poster bed and en-suite shower room, a super king-size double with zip and link beds, followed by another double and an adult bunk room. The family bathroom enjoys a bath tub with a hand-held shower attachment.
Outside is a sunny patio, a sweeping lawned garden with views across green trees and farmland and an enclosed dining pod so you can dine under the stars all year round! This quiet location is convenient for accessing the small town of Holmfirth, which was made famous by the TV series The Last of The Summer Wine.
It has lots to offer its visitors, including a wide range of places to eat and drink, walking in abundance and awe inspiring scenery across the Holme Valley. The Peak District offers some fantastic outdoor activities and many pretty towns and villages to visit along the way.
