Set deep in the countryside, surrounded by towering trees and babbling brooks, this luxurious lodge accommodates four guests in a five-star environment.

Throw open bi-fold doors to access the wrap-around terrace with a sunken hot tub or wander the short distance into the trees to sit and star gaze by the fire pit. This ultra-modern lodge has been smartly decorated in cool tones of grey and stylish soft furnishings, creating a stark contrast to the bright greenery and magnificent countryside that’s visible outside through the floor-to-ceiling windows. An open-plan living area with a lounge, kitchen and diner neatly positioned together invites slow mornings and evenings of relaxing, and French doors leading out onto the terrace are perfect for those summer stays.

On the ground floor, find two king-size bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room for added privacy when getting ready each morning. There is off-road parking for two cars.

The property is positioned within effortless reach of both North Yorkshire and Lancashire countryside destinations, with the Lancashire towns of Barnoldswick (5.5 miles) and Earby (4 miles) just a drive away. On the Yorkshire side, Skipton offers endless appeal with ancient, cobbled streets, a historic castle, mystical woodlands and a whole array of independent shops, pubs and eateries to explore.

It’s known as the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, with the impeccable national park locations of Malham (12 miles), Appletreewick (13 miles) and Bolton Abbey (12 miles) all within easy reach of the town.

The Pump House Lodge Reviews

We found the lodge to be cosy, warmand tidy, perfect for relaxing. Plenty of scenic walks nearby made it a great spot for outdoorsy types. That said, it’s not as private as the website suggests since there’s another property nearby with a drive right next to us. We had a delivery and a water engineer pop by during our visit, which was a bit unexpected.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The peaceful vibe, with the babbling brook and birds singing, was so relaxing. The lodge had everything we neededand we loved how all the spaces-kitchen, lounge, dining-were open-plan and easy to use. The big windows made it feel super spacious and connected to the outdoors. The hot tub was fantastic and kept in great condition. Communication from Laura was spot-onand she was always ready to help. We’ll definitely come back!

We recently stayed at this stunning contemporary lodgeand it was just perfect! The location is absolutely beautiful, offering peace and quiet but also a quick stroll to the local pub if you fancy some food by the fire. The owners are really thoughtful, having thought of everything to make our stay special. The jacuzzi next to the bubbling brook was the highlight, especially with drinks under the stars. We loved it so much we’ve already booked again for next Christmas. Can’t wait to return!

What a lovely stay! The house is super modern and tucked away in a peaceful valley, which we loved. The hosts really went the extra mile with vegan-friendly gifts and a welcome pack that included helpful walking guides. Honestly, it’s hard to find anything to criticize. We had a fantastic intro to Yorkshire and definitely want to return someday. Highly recommended!

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 27 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
