About The Winding Way Cottage

Treat yourselves to a stay in an inviting cottage with a private hot tub in the colourful village of Stainland. Sleeping four guests, the two bedroom retreat, which is 7 miles from the Peak District, offers a gorgeous blend of character, comfort and contemporary style.

Spend your evenings together through in the elegantly furnished lounge, where you can watch a good film on the Smart TV, with the wood burner roaring on chilly days or the doors to the garden pulled open when it is fine. The farmhouse style kitchen/diner is the perfect place to rustle up dishes with the delicious Yorkshire produce you have shopped for and to gather round the table to dine.

As eyelids begin to droop, make your way up to the first floor of the cottage, where your beautiful bedrooms are situated. Both of these are king size and each has its own en suite shower room with a walk in shower, making this a great option for two couples on a West Yorkshire break together.

Indulge in the opportunities for outdoor living afforded by this holiday home. Bubble in the hot tub, dine under the stars and enjoy the glow of the fire pit as darkness falls.

Venture 8 miles and just into the Peak District to enjoy a picturesque walk beside Butterley Reservoir. Visit charming Holmfirth, in the scenic Holme Valley, where much of the renowned TV series Last of the Summer Wine was filmed.

Plan a day out into Halifax, 5 miles away, to potter in the shops, dine out and wander through the magnificent parkland at Shibden Hall.

The Winding Way Cottage Reviews

Nichola
We had a fabulous stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean on arrival. Mark contacted me the day before our stay with arrival information and recommendations of local walks, areas of interest, and places to eat and drink. He was very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. The photos are stunning, however, its even niRead morecer in reality. We loved dipping in and out of the hot tub and toasting marshmallows of an evening. Id definitely recommend. Hide

Everything was absolutely wonderful and we had a fantastic time. However, the lack of a few kitchen essentials (veg peeler, sieve/colander) was slightly frustrating and it would have been really helpful to know what day the recycling people came, as we would have put the (already very full) container out for collection. Otherwise, fabulous.
