We have just had a nice sunny week there, it is ideal for the beach, if you don't mind a pebbly beach and the sea is fine for swimming and paddle boarding. Roses fish and chip shop is good and most things can be found in the village or Tescos! The property was nice and clean and nicely decorated - everything there was in good working order. A lovely house, with plenty of room for everyone and a hot tub, made it perfect. The owner was on the end of a phone with hot tub operation queries, so that meant we got to use it on the first day. The house had pretty much all we needed, and is right next to the beach and a lovely beach bar! Local attractions - Beachy Head, Brighton, Hastings, andRead more Pevensey with its fascinating castle. House very comfortable and well equipped. Very close to beach, although no sand and very steep. Plenty of parking right outside the house. Beach bar very convenient. Enclosed gardens with lovely furniture and hot tub.

Bodiam Castle (National Trust) was built in 1385 and much of the exterior of the castle is still in tact although most of the interior was destroyed during the Civil War. This lovely farm is located in South Downs National Park - a stunning setting for a family fun day out in Sussex. The farm shop has recently opened and is a real delight to visit. Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest is another very popular attraction and is great for families as there is loads of open space for children to run around. Bedgebury is home to the beautiful National Pinetum and a further 2000 acres of forest as well as an excellent adventure play trail. Families can explore the site via the miles cycling routes and for the more experienced rider there are also 12 km of mountain biking tracks. The specially designed play area features a butterfly climbing wall, a spider's web, a ship wreck and tree stump nest tunnels. Other activities include Go Ape aerial ropes and a brand new zip wire course.
