Yealm Reviews

Nicola
We had such a lovely stay at Yealm for our wedding anniversary. It was warm, cosy, private and peaceful with the most gorgeous view. The pod has been carefully thought out and we had everything we needed. Loved the little touches of local organic hand wash and shower gel. Thank you for a lovely stay Kim, well be back x
Trevor
A lovely place to spend a few days with fantastic views and a huge variety of wildlife. The cabin was warm and comfortable and the hot tub and fire pit were a nice touch. The host was readily available but not intrusive, giving swift responses to any questions. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a few days of solitude.
Amazing holiday very relaxing time Hot tub was great fun to sit in under the ... Amazing holiday very relaxing time Hot tub was great fun to sit in under the stars the get out and roast marshmallows in the fire pit would go there again in the future if possible
The property was lovely, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The location was absolutely beautiful and the owners were on hand to help if we needed. I would definitely recommend this property, especially if you have a young child. Our daughter loved the remote area, scenery and hot tub.
Lorraine
We were looking for a peaceful, back to nature without roughing it little trip away and boy did we get that. Firstly the cabin Yealm beautifully presented and equipped for everything you need, attention to detail at its best. Staying cozy when its brewing a storm and outdoor living when the sun is shining. We had both experiences. Location Lovely evenings and early mornings spent gazing over the tranquil rolling countryside spotting the resident Barn Owl, swifts, swallows, goldfinches, yellow hammer, heron, and so much more. Bring your binoculars. Vicinity so many beautiful places to visit, coastal walks, waterside pubs, quaint villages. Beaches are plentiful. And the hosts, Kim and Ant, friendly, and helpful without being in your space, just knowing they are at the end of a text if necessary, is reassuring and we appreciated the useful info of places to eat. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend and already have to family and friends. Thank you for a much needed, enjoyable and relaxing stay

We loved our stay in the Yealm lodge, its in a great location and the views from the pod are stunning! The lodge is nice and private, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and our daily visits from the friendly dogs. Kim & Ant are only a message away and anything we needed they assisted straight away. The only thing that would make this any better would be some firmer pillows & robes for the hot tub but thats personal preference. We would highly recommend!
Michelle
What can you say! The location is stunning, the cabin beautiful our hosts Kim and Ant were extremely helpful. Our cabin was at the top of the property overlooking the woodland and fields, Ant said we would hopefully see the owl which we did every evening
Jerilyn
Stunning property in a stunning area! Couldn't believe how blessed we were to sit in the hot tub and watch the barnowl hunt in the evenings be visited by chickens in the morning and relax around the fire pit as night fell. Thank you!
We had a great stay at Yealm! Kim and Ant the hosts provided us with useful information about the area and were easily contactable. The accommodation was very clean and had all the facilities we would need to make the most out of our stay including a lovely hot tub! It was a great escape to the countryside!
The property was very clean, warm and stylish. It is well equipped with most things you would need. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful. It was lovely to sit outside enjoying a drink or meal, or enjoying the hot tub, looking at the wonderful view with just the sounds of birds and sheep. The owners were very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. We also loved our daily visits from their lovely, friendly dog Bea. I would highly recommend for a lovely, relaxing holiday. I

Absolutely perfect for us. Spectacular surroundings. Very clean and comfortable. Met the charming owners. Hot tub a big bonus. Visit the area often, will definitely return. Binoculars a must.
Well we've stayed in pods with nothing, pods with everything, but Yealm was just right. Pod was immaculate, and the king size bed was so comfortable. The views from the pod hot tub were beautiful, watching a barn owl fly across the field, then a woodpecker hanging on the fence was nature at its best. Kim & Ant are fantastic hosts, supplying us with fresh eggs and tomatoes out of the poly tunnel just added that touch. Also must say the visits everyday from Bea the dog made my sons holiday. Thank you
Lorraine
A delightful peaceful location with unspoilt views over the rolling hills. An early morning caught a wonderful sunrise over the mist. Facilities fantastic, everything perfect. Thank you
Daniel
Lovely little place. Peace and quiet definitely recommend for anyone that wants to relax and watch the world go by.
Yealm was absolutely perfect! Everything about the stay was 5. The location, the accommodation, the facilities, the hosts and the scenery was everything I hoped it would be and much more.
This was above and beyond what we expected. The host checked in with us throughout our stay to see if we needed anything and nothing was to much trouble. The area was very relaxing and peaceful and just what we needed. The cabin was fantastic and of a very high standard. There was a nice touch with the homemade chocolate cake on our arrival. The hot tub was a very welcome extra and easy to use. Would highly recommend to everyone we will most definitely be returning. Our time there was amazing thank you so much Kim, Ant, kids and Bea. Many thanks Jim and Denise.
Such a lovely area to stay in. Very quiet, just what we wanted. The pod was beautiful inside. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back but for longer next time.
We had an excellent stay at Yealm. A great location topped off by a perfect little cabin. Had everything you need for a relaxing few days away. The bed was comfortable and it was an easy place to keep warm or cool down if required. The owner, Kim went out of her way to make our stay as good as possible. Taking time to show us how to warm up the hot tub as quickly as possible & always being available to answer questions we had. I was shocked when Kim told us Yealm had only been available for a month because it seemed so well established. Would definitely recommend this place to couples and even a small family as I know there is a larger cabin that would cater for this. Thanks Kim for a great stay. Maddie and James

We had a great holiday, Superb lodge, excellent location, picturesque views, very clean and tidy, friendly owners. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning
What a beautiful pod in a stunning location! ! The views are amazing and we even caught a glimpse of the local barn owl!! The pod itself is decorated beautifully and to a high standard!! Very comfortable with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Hosts very welcoming and checked in to ensure everything was okay. Highly recommend Yealm for an escape to a bit of peace and tranquility!!
Belinda
First time we've tried glamping and loved it. The pod is well thought out, nicely furnished with a really comfortable bed and quality bedding. Lovely views across fields, not a street light in sight. Really felt like we were getting away from it all. Lots of attention to detail including a gorgeous body care range and even fresh flowers inside and out. Run by owners who care that you are happy with everything. The only reason for not giving full marks on the accurancy of the listing is that Sykes cottages have listed a sea view, there didn't appear to be one from the pod. The word pod really doesn't do Yealm justice .
I had a lovely stay. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was great. The toiletries smell amazing and the kitchen was very handy. The host was fantastic making sure everything was perfect for my stay!
