Lovely cottage .. great character! We had a wonderful time!
Mark
Perfect location for access to Dartmoor and ending a walk out on Dartmoor in the heavy wind and rain is made so much better with a sauna and hot tub to warm up in. NB bring flip flops as the hotvtub ans sauna are nicely secluded away at the end of the garden. The games froom with PS4, table football and darts was also a brilliant feature and made fRead moreor some really fun family games nights. Hide

A lovely 400 year old cottage, but be AWARE low doorways and VERY uneven floors especially upstairs everything on a slant upstairs, I wouldnt take children and to get to the dog paddock and pub you have to walk on a very busy fast road no footpath.
Christine
Comfortable and well equipped cottage. A little further from the coast than I realised.
Abi
A beautiful cottage equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing break to expire beautiful Devon.
Sally
Fantastic unique cottage in a great location for exploring Devon. Hot tub and sauna were a welcome addition after a day touring. Nice welcome hamper and kitchen is well kitted out. Will definitely be returning one day soon.
Sarah
Absolutely loved the cottage, couldnt fault it, like home from home, would definitely stay again, perfect for visiting the moors, hot tub and sauna were great, great value, love the quirkiness of the cottage.
Deborah
The cottage is full of character and very well equipped. We were very warm and comfortable and had plenty of space. The hot tub and sauna were a welcome respite from the dreadful January weather.
Carla
Fantastic cottage and great garden. Hot tub and sauna are a great feature.
Tina
Stayed here for a girls weekend, March 2023. Absolutely fell in love with the property as soon as we walked in. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. The floors upstairs took a little getting used to but it just added to the character of the property. The hot tub was the highlight of the weekend of course. Very easy to get to attraction and viewi ng spots, really good base for a holiday. The welcome basket was much appreciated
Jane
Wonderfull old quirky cottage with plenty of character. A garden full of surprises. Well equipped, completely dog friendly and welcome hamper was a lovely treat. Hot tub was great addition for those tired bones after walks on the moor ( 10/15 mins drive away) would recommend for any dog lovers
Caroline
Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space for all. Hot tub and sauna was fantastic and beautifully secluded.
Hayley
If you are looking for an old traditional cottage, this is perfect! Well stocked everything you need and not too far from a town. Perfect for dogs and kids. Just perfect
Tracy
Beautiful cottage, we totally loved staying there, especially the 3 dogs. Will be going again. It was a home from home everything there to make stay wonderful, would recommend to everyone. Thankyou x
Elizabeth
This is a beautiful country property which is well set up! The attention to detail is fantastic, from the well equipped kitchen to the games cupboard/room. The only negative things I'd say is: there is a leakage problem in the property, we woke up one morning after heavy rain and the dining room was completely flooded. The beams in this property ar e very low and the floors are uneven so you have to walk around with caution. Finally, the wifi does not work and there is no/very minimal reception.
DAVID
Very quirky 14th Century Cottage on a Busy Road which is not suitable for walking on so everywhere has to be accessed by Car nice garden and enclosed patio area a bit of a sun trap our grandsons enjoyed the Darts and Table Football nice and spacious so you are not living on top of each other.
Paul
Lovely quirky cottage with loads of room. Only downside are the low doorways which are typical of this type of old building but for me at 62 and my son at 64 we must have hit our head on every door frame. Nice secluded location but is at least an hours drive from most attractions. Hot tub and sauna are a nice touch. Owners also lovely & helpful.
Ellen
Good points - the house was well equipped the garden was lovely hot and sauna was good on suite bathroom was good BAD points- No one with any disability should go its not suitable The house was not clean the bath had dead flys in it and that was when we arrived, bathroom locks didnt work the whole place was very tired and needs some TLC I certainly would not recommend this
Jan
Spacious thirteen century thatched cottage full of character. Lots of comfortable space to live in. Great hot tub and sauna at the very private end of the garden. Kids loved the garden and the games room. Beds and sofas are comfortable and the garden was very secure at the front of the property (where the busy road is) and reasonably secure (unless a child or dog is an escape artist) at the back which leads onto fields. Would definitely recommend for a family with dogs and kids.
Vanessa
We loved the hot tub which worked great and was clean ! Tried using sauna couldnt get it to work at all The garden was nicely laid out but needs fencing as cars on road so fast was worried dog would get out so kept her on long lead which wasnt ideal ! The kitchen had every thing you could possibly need to cook and serve loads of plates cutlery bowl s etc Utility was great T/D W/D ! Great walks nearby but have to drive to ! Only worry was driving out of house such fast road .
Julia
Lovely quirky cottage, great for the dogs - properly dog friendly (many other properties we have visited have claimed to be dog friendly but there have been so many rules but this one was truly dog friendly). 7 adults and 3 dogs and plenty of space, had a really good week away
Keely
Although the cottage was full of character and had its quirks it definitely requires some TLC. Sofas were uncomfortable, could do with replacing. We'd advise you to bring your own towels. Unfortunately cleanliness wasn't of the highest standard, mainly the kitchen. Although the cottage was in the middle of no where there are plenty of activities to do 45 - 60 minutes drive away. Hot tub was a great extra although chlorine was too strong so only managed to use a couple of times.
Andrew
A really beautiful cottage. Its directly on an extremely fast B road with no pavements. The property is secured by a gate. However, with 3 dogs my nerves were absolutely shot at the end of our stay.cars literally fly past and despite the gate, it did concern me immensely for safety of dogs. There is nowhere to walk from the cottage avoiding said road, so dogs needed to be taken out in car Towels provided were too few and too small considering there is hot tub. Had to buy some Wi-Fi not good
Lisa
We had a great time location was great we were quite central and able to adventure surrounding areas , cottage was great quirky and comfortable would definitely go back
John
Fantastic location and hot tub / sauna were a great surprise. Lovely garden and house. Owners were very helpful with any queries we had during the stay. Will definitely try to return one day.
Ruth
Fantastic house! Lovely welcome and service. Would gladly come again. Thank you.
William
Great location cottage was really comfortable sauna hot tub fantastic had really great time there
Val
A very lovely, cosy cottage- with delight around every wonky corner and floor! Plenty of driveway space for our three cars over the weekend - which was important, as road outside narrow with fast traffic. Double gates ensured our dog did not escape but to walk for any length of time - we needed to hop in a car with him. A spacious garden with a won derful hot tub and sauna at the end of a winding gravel path flip flops and woolly dressing gowns well useful! Would definitely stay here again!
Ian
Had a very enjoyable weekend here. Hot tub and sauna were lovely. The house contains everything you would need.
Carla
A lovely well equipped cottage in a beautiful location. The hot tub, sauna and games room are a fantastic extra. The hosts extra touches such as the welcoming hamper and decorating the cottage for our Christmas stay was so kind. Would recommend to friends and family. We would also come back in the future
julie
Generally had a lovely week. The cottage is on an extremely busy road with concealed entrance so caution is very important when trying to exit the property.
Trudy
The cottage was clean on arrival very warm plenty of room for 5 adults and 1 baby cot and high chair supplied by owner both spotlessly clean kitchen and laundry room well equipped hot tub used every day we will be back
Nicky
Enjoyable and relaxing stay in this great character cottage. Sloping floors and wonky walls added to the charm. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Hot tub was great in the evenings after busy day's out. Although the road is busy it didn't detract from our stay.
Cara
Myself and my family really enjoyed our holiday. Such a beautiful cottage, loved the peace and quiet.
