Ty Canol Reviews

Natalie
We had an amazing stay for my 30th birthday with family, the pictures dont do this place justice, the house is absolutely amazing my favourite room was the upstairs bedroom with the view! the jacuzzi was huge and so relaxing and the welcome gift of snacks and wine was a lovely touch. Absolutely beautiful home none of us wanted to leave! 100 would stay again.
Perfect for a mixed age family holiday Secure and private
We hadn't appreciated from the photos that the kitchen, dining and living area was all openplan, so it was even nicer than we were expecting! The hottub got a lot of use, it was huge, we loved it. We had one issue with the backdoor during our stay and it was rectified within a couple of hours. Great location too, we enjoyed local walks spotting red squirrels and longer walks down to the beach and lighthouse. Would definitely recommend and we'd love to stay again sometime.
A lovely property in an interesting area, with nice walks on the doorstep. Clean, excellent facilities, spacious and had everything we needed. Impressive hot tub, large decking area and gardens. Was enjoyed equally by all ages from 18 to 70 Only issue we had was with a window in one bedroom, awaiting repair, that let in some cold draughts on two very windy nights. This was a minor problem, rectified with a bit of packing in the gaps, and wed recommend the property.
We had the most amazing stay in this very, very lovely house! The pictures really didn't do it justice, so much better in person.
We found Louise, the property manager, very helpful and responsive to any queries. The hot tub was very welcomed after a day at the beach. The children loved the play area.
The pictures really don't do this place justice, absolutely stunning property kids loved it, adults totally relaxed, perfect stay thank you!
The property was amazing. All our family really enjoyed our stay. Great for kids and the facilities were great. Would definitely come back again.
This place is fantastic From the moment you arrive through the electric gates it really has the WOW factor. Amazing facilities throughout Hot tub is brilliant Indooroutdoor sound system is a real bonus and the mood lighting controlled by the iPad is an added touch of luxury. Very well equipped kitchen and really comfy lounge the fireplace is lovely too Plenty of room which was great for us. Great addition of the BBQ which we used a few times. Overall a fabulous stay at a really 5 luxury lodge. Thank you
We could not have found a nicer place to celebrate my 70th Birthday with my family and close friends. The house is beautiful and the facilities are excellent. The hot tub was a big success and Ella loved the playground too. We had boules competitions on the grass. There was loads of space to play games. Thank you for the wine and chocs. Much appreciated Lynny

Fantastic cottage I will definitely return, the grounds are massive and plenty to do for all the family. The local pubs is very friendly too. Will be returning for sure.
Ty Canol is just the most fantastic place. We could not have asked for anymore. The little touches are really fantastic, from the welcome treats, to the fishing & crab nets which the kids loved it was perfect. So much space for the kids to go and explore and run free. The log burner was just so cosy at night, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Perfect location for a relaxing weekend away with family and friends. My only one wish is that we could of brought our dogs, but completely understand why you dont allow this. Louise, was just lovely and could not do enough for us, we were made to feel very welcome.. We will definately be coming back soon

We had an absolutely fantastic time! Exactly as listed, lots of facilities and little touches which made our stay perfect! Fabulous communication from the owner! Couldnt have asked for more! We will be back xxxxx
Great week away with family celebrating 60th birthday suited all ages Welcome ... Great week away with family celebrating 60th birthday suited all ages Welcome chocolates and wine etc was nice touch Comfortable well equipped accommodation owners thought of everything you would need plenty of space to escape to Great location when booked it had sky tv and hot tub wasnt ready told due to weather which was particularly bad BUT didnt spoil holiday Definitely recommend in fact already have and would book again
Property was amazing, this was our second stay and therefore we knew what would be available to us. Will definitley be back.
I couldnt have wished for more from a holiday home.
We had an issue with the boiler during our stay, which meant that we had very limited access to hot water if any some days. This meant that 10 people and an infant where unable to have regular hot showers and access to warm water to wash up. Whilst the issue was mentioned to the property manager, Im yet to hear back as to a resolution regarding compensation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however it was inconvenienced by the issues surrounding the boiler and having regular visits made by the manager and plumber.

Ty Canol is a lovely house in a lovely secluded spot with great gardenswe enjoyed staying there immensely. We do think it would benefit to have some information about the CCTV however, located both inside and outside the house, is this recording at all times? With no information to confirm if this was live or not, we found it a little offputting. We reported a few faults within the house during our staylights not working in the bathroomlounge, broken karaoke machine mic, a dishwasher fault and also a broken rack and a constantly running kitchen tap. None of these ruined the holiday, but arent necessarily what youd expect on a property costing upwards of 2,000 per week. The final thing we think should be mentioned is the planned maintenance visits during our stayits a secluded property with a private gated entrance, but the hot tub company attended 3 times that we know of and the gardeners also came during our staywe were playing with the children in the garden at the time and had to vacate whilst they did the workwhich took 3 men an hour or so. There is no mention or prior warning of any of this, which is a bit frustratinga simple heads up to mention when its happening would be niceit felt like the gates were opening to a new unexpected visitor almost every day and made it feel a little less secure. It is a fantastic property which could just benefit with a little more information in either the description or the welcome pack.
Perfect for a family get together. Young children loved the bedroom with rocking horse and large soft toys, and the outdoor play area.
We did have a couple of issues during our stay, but the Property Manager was brilliant and sorted the issue in a quick and professional way. Thank you Louise.
Our holiday was amazing. It exceeded our expectations. The manager was lovely and friendly. We had an amazing time and will definitely be re booking. Also had a welcome gift of box of chocolates and bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture.
Fabulous break, much needed before life gets busy again. Wonderful accommodation, fantastic location, we will definitely be back!

I think it would help if the TV had access to all Sky channels rather than just limited to the main channels, this is important as we had children with us and at times the weather was bad. In addition we had issues with increasing the temperature on the hot tub and the instructions were very poor. Also you would need to make older people aware that all the double beds are Futons which are not ideal for people with mobility issues getting in and out of some normal size double beds would be better.
Sydney
This was absolutely fantastic! Be great to go back in summer! Thanks so much
Louise
The accommodation was beautiful, and my friends and I was not disappointed on arrival although we found the check out on Sunday at 10am a little early, especially out of season and suspect there would be no other guests arriving Sunday ? Maybe 11 would be less rushed?
We booked the property so that my whole family could come together to celebrate my 60th birthday. This place really fitted what we needed. It was so private and secure that we had no worries when the younger children went wandering. Every room was so cosy and the young ones loved the kids room. Definitely one of the best places we have stayed in.

As the weather wasnt brilliant, some form of patio heater would have been a nice idea ,

Booked this house for my 40th birthday staying with my family. It was perfect for us. Lots of space indoors and especially outdoors. We were able to host a birthday BBQ on the Saturday with another 20 guests. It didnt feel cramped outdoors. The kids loved the outdoor space and the playground was brilliant. I loved the huge hot tub. The grounds beyond are lovely to walk around. The location is good too. Lots of nice beaches nearby and much more. The Marram Grass restaurant is 510 mins away which is great. The manager was really helpful and very accommodating to my queries beforehand. I highly recommend this house. Thanks again.
Nikita
WOW! the whole place was beautiful and very spacious, perfect weather too for the jacuzzi and a bbq! It was very easy to access the facilities and control them as there was an iPad that helps you control lighting and sound system etc! we felt very safe as there was electric gates, basically everything just made our holiday! everyone had the best weekend could not fault it by anything! I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home
Saheem
Easily the best cottage holiday experience weve ever had. Had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away, the sound system is amazing and so are the lights! Even came with a welcome pack to explain how everything works! The hot tub was ace and the open fire adds a lovely touch to the place. The location was perfect for what we wanted and the local supermarkets were only 15 mins away for when we needed some extra bits...would definitely recommend and we will be back soon!
