Minerva Reviews

We had a lovely stay at Minerva. The place had pretty much everything you could need. We arrived to find a lovely welcome pack in the amazing kitchen. Even the dogs had a welcome pack
A brilliant break with the extended family, the location was perfect just a short walk from Treaddur Bay. The accomodation was perfect, large enough for all to have space and children to enjoy themselves. I would certainly recommend this to friends and family and as it looks like I will be returning for a other run around the island in next year's Ring of Fire race... We will be looking to book this again.
This is the 2nd time at this acomodation. ..the house is very nice. Unfortunately. As with the first time we went the cleanlyness is poor. The bin is never cleaned the window sills are dirty. There's Mold in the shower and.bathroom and in the bedroom
A great sport, location was perfect and the house catered for our needs. We enjoyed the close by walks and local village for drinks. Rooms were comfortable however the only downside was no blinds in the bedrooms, most mornings woke up around sunrise and couldn't get back to sleep. All in all, a very enjoyable break and would definitely return to Minerva again.
Wow!!! Absolutely fantastic. There are 7 adults, 1 child and 1 dog in our family group and there is plenty of room to all enjoy together or alone if you need peace and quiet. The facilities were great, and everything worked. Plenty parking space, great childrens toys, loads of pots, pans, crockery etc. Such a lovely property with outstanding views. Thank you for a lovely place to stay.
Amazing holiday home for large families with children. Perfect area with plenty of things to do. The house is in a lovely spot with amazing views. 100 revisiting here in the future. Hosts were very generous aswell as we wanted to check out a bit later.

The holiday cottage Minerva was super for our family Easter break. The living area was spacious and comfortable for everyone to spread out and enjoy and we had all the necessary equipment for family dining as well. The hot tub was super at the end of the day activities. Lovely views from the balcony and a nice peaceful location close enough to walk to the beach and amenities.
The camp bed was more like a deck chair, wouldn't of been comfy for anyone to sleep on, we had to use the sofa. No spare bedding for the extra people, or covers. Was a shame the conservatory was leaking alot of rain in, Apart from that great time thankyou
Had a fabulous week in this beautiful house. Gorgeous views from the back of the house we loved watching the sheep and rabbits.

My family and I had a wonderful 3 day stay at the Minerva cottage. It was exactly what we were looking for in a home for our large family to live and relax, during our stay in beautiful Anglesey. It's a fantastic property with plenty of living space. It has great balcony for enjoying a morning coffee with beautiful coastal views or evening cocktails watching a gorgeous sunset. We made good use of the fully utilised kitchen and dining area. The adults thoroughly enjoyed the amazing hottub situated in the front garden area. The children loved the fully stocked games room, playing the games console or playing on the childrens snooker table aswell as reading books or playing with legos. This home is just perfect for a large group to feel together as a family or large enough for everyone to have space to relax apart, Just perfect.
Nicola
Lovely house. Beautiful views! Comfortable beds with quality bedding, everything there that you could want. Nice touch with the kids toys and books etc. Wheelie bin was full on arrival, but soon sorted after contact with the caretaker.
Amanda
Minerva is a beautiful property, unfortunately the cleanliness and general maintenance let's it down

A couple of glitches at the beginning of the holiday which were sorted our quickly I felt confident that any other problems there werent any would be treated in the same way. Thanks go to the owners and their staff for their prompt help. A lovely holiday home for our large family group and our three dogs. Fabulous views and really good access to all the beaches in the area. We had a great holiday at Minerva!
Firstly, Id like to say that Minerva is a lovely property in a great spot. However, there are issues. On arrival, one of the first things we had to do was pick up two dog poos off the balcony from the previous guests. We also found as the week went that the standard of cleanliness was poor throughout. Pots, pans, and plates still with food remnants on, breadsticks in the sun room drawer, and general dirt and grime in all rooms. It was clear that this place was given a brief once over at best. With regard to facilities, there was no speaker or Alexa as stated in the property details. We rang to ask and was told that the previous guest had smashed it. Granted, you cant control what guests do but surely during the deep clean and inventory check this should have been picked up and a replacement put in. There was also an issue with the hot tub which took two full days to get to temperature so we lost the use of it on day one. Finally, the mattresses are so old that there is literally no cushioning left in them. I felt like I was sleeping on a wooden door. A real pity that such a nice property is not being given the treatment it deserves.

Absolutely beautiful home! Very well equipped. Beds were really comfy, views absolutely stunning and a short walk to the beach!
Sandra
We enjoyed a fabulous few days at the Minerva, it's a fantastic house with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Great location and views.

Didnt provide simple things such as cooking oil, dishwasher tabs, cleaning spray for kitchen counter tops which to me should be available, even if they are only the cheap options. Otherwise was absolutely lovely and couldnt fault it. Lovey views, 2 year old loved watching the cows out the back.

Absolute fabulous house. Well equipped for families with all ages children. Short walk to the beach, sea views and cosy at night too. Comfy beds and extensive kitchen facilities! Thank you so much for our stay we will be back! Highly recommend
Conveniently situated, excellent parking spaces. Lovely views and made a great base for a family holiday.
We've just come back from a wonderful holiday and the holiday house was the cherry on top! It was exactly how described, and was perfect for our large family of 11! The views were breathtaking, and the house had everything you needed to relax and ensure the kids were entertained. The pool table and little kitchen were an excellent bonus! We loved the welcome package and enjoyed a glass of the bubbly in the spacious hot tub! It was all lovely, nothing to fault.
Carrie
Honestly we couldnt have been happier! The property was incredible. Beautiful views, cosy, clean & close to all amenities. 9 of us stayed for 2 nights for my mums 70th birthday & she had the most amazing time. Shes actually requested we all start saving for another stay at Minerva as soon as possible. Thank you so much xx

Unfortunately we only have our last several years with Sykes Cottages in Bowness which have been fabulous. We found Minerva to be tired in decoration with the furniture being old and worn. On arrival the cleaning hadn't been as thorough as I had hoped with dishes still having grease on them. The dishwasher wasn't working and in all fairness George got a handyman to come out however he was unable to fix the problem. The biggest disappointment was the position of the hot tub being in the front which wasn't really explained in the brochure so we didn't use that. The conservatory was totally out of bounds due to the coldness and looking like a storage room for old furniture. Our holiday was booked until the 3123 however we left on 1123 so again this was very disappointing and a waste of money and holiday time.
Michele
Well where do I start, this place is absolutely amazing the pictures on the website do not do it justice the house is something special and will not disappoint. We spent a wonderful week here with our 3 dogs. From the moment we walked in we instantly all felt at home with all our stress draining out of our bodies. The views are spectacular and we spent so much time just chilling and admiring these. At night we had the log burner on which packed a punch and kept all nice and warm after a long day walking the hills. The hot tub was a great addition which help the aching bones. We definitely didnt want want to leave.

We loved our holiday the accommodation was wonderful , just one very small criticism we did not have a tin can opener we went to the cottage next door and they lent us one. Everything else was spot on . Would definitely return to Minerva when booking a holiday on angelsey.
Thomas
This property was perfect for our requirements, lovely rooms, comfy beds, good showers, massive kitchen! Hot tub was such a nice treat after activities during the day! Surrounding fields create lovely views of Anglesey! Host was amazing, couldnt do enough for us when needed! Couldnt find the iron lol they were very responsive. Could not fault this cottage whatsoever, perfect for a big group of lads or a family. Already planning a return trip! Thank you loads! Xx
Lorraine
Lovely quiet location, very spacious accommodation with stunning views from the rear. Plenty of natural light throughout due to the numerous large windows that makes the place feel airy and spacious. Plenty of parking space at the front of the property and a lovely hot tub to soak away those aches and pains from all the walking at the end of a busy day. Very friendly neighbourhood. The owner Georgina kindly text me upon our arrival to notify us that the inner fridge door compartments were unfortunately broken by a previous tenant but that was not a problem for us, and she wished us a lovely stay and was very accommodating. Nice touch! The only downside was the low water pressure in the showers , the cobwebs around the ceiling and light fixings, saucepans needed cleaning before use, radiators were dusty especially in the bathrooms and the tv channels only accommodated for Netflix but not normal tv. I would certainly recommend Minerva and will hopefully go again as Trearddur Bay is most certainly a wonderful place for rest and relaxation on the beautiful island of Anglesey . Wished I could have stayed for longer than a week .
Well what can I say! ! The pictures are beautiful but they did not prepare us for just how beautiful that view is!! We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we entered the property, first impression was that it was clean and well maintained. But there was something very special about walking down the short staircase to the lounge and seeing those huge floor to ceiling windows with panoramic views of the most beautiful countryside. We were welcomed with a lovely card, biscuits and complimentary bottle of prosecco, such a nice touch The entire house was so well equipped, the kitchen was huge and had everything we couldve needed even down to water bowls for the dogs. The layout was perfect for a large family gathering as we all sat chatting around the table whilst cooking dinner. The lounge was a great size with comfortable sofas and a large tv although we preferred to watch the view with the sheep, lambs, cows and rabbits entertaining us Just off the lounge was a huge conservatory packed with games and entertainment for younger children right up to teenagers, complete with colourful led lights. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and welcoming with nice little touches to make the stay more comfortable. The decking balcony outside had a table, benches and chimenea but it was a bit windy to sit out. We did however enjoy the hot tub out front, behind the hedges for privacy it was lovely. It was nice to see a chatty gentleman come the morning we were leaving and completely empty the hot tub, clean and refill. Reassuring that this is also well maintained for hygiene. If I had to give any constructive criticism I would say the mattresses on the beds arent the most comfortable, they are very very soft. Also, the conservatory door doesnt close very well and was rattling in the wind, could also be a security issue. Very minor things! We had a short walk to a lovely beach and a 10 minute drive to some more beautiful spots. Theres also a large retail park around a mile away. We loved our stay and would 100 boo again! Thankyou so much to Lorraine for answering my questions before arriving and Thankyou to the property owner George for the welcome text message. We didnt want to go home!
Steven
We had a family holiday 6 adults, 7 children We all loved this house and the views were amazing. The children had so much fun with the toys games etc provided in the house. The children loved sitting and watching the lambs playing in the fields. They didn't want to leave. The house was very clean and beautiful inside and outside. Had everything we needed, including washing machine, dishwasher, Iron etc. We are all talking about another family holiday and will definitely be booking this house again. Loads off areas to visit lovely walks beaches. A large retail area within 6 minutes drive, has all the shops you need, a shop a few minutes away were you can hire paddle boards etc. Overall amazing
Yasmin
The overall house experience was fantastic there was loads of space, many rooms which was great! The house was clean and tidy. The views where amazing and the overall look of the house was stunning!
The checkin and out times were restrictive BUT I was able to seek flexibility once I contacted the team Not until I rang re the above was I informed that I had paid for 3 nights and not 2, therefore check out time was far more flexible. The dishwasher did not work a HUGE problem as I was cooking meals for 9 and then had to wash by hand! This took up enjoyment time from our holiday.
It's difficult for me to give accurate feedback, given personal health issues I was unable to attend on the holiday. My children and grandchildren however use the cottage and seem to be very pleased with the location, facilities and layout
Claire
Superb location views amazing. Lots of space for our large family. House well equipped and hot tub was fabulous. The management team were extremely helpful . The details said that towels were included , but they were not big enough or enough of them so would encourage to take your own. Also from the details it suggests there was another shower . None of this detracted us from a fabulous stay.
Loved the views and spaciousness of Minerva from the large windows at the back. It was extremely quiet although only 10 minute walk to the beach. A brilliant place to unwind and recharge batteries.
