This detached holiday cottage is situated down a private lane, a mile from the North Wales village of Clocaenog and just 3.5 miles from Ruthin. Originally an old shippon, this lovely cottage boasts traditional elements alongside a raft of modern features, including a sumptuous hot tub in the lawned garden.
As you enter through the kitchen, you are immediately struck by the quality of the accommodation. Walk through into the large sitting room with its fabulous woodburner nestling in a brick fireplace and you know that you are going to feel right at home.
The master bedroom leads off the sitting room, and the family bathroom is also on the ground floor, whilst upstairs are two cosy bedrooms. At the rear of the house is a large conservatory, which has underfloor heating and from where you can keep an eye on the children as they play in safety on the climbing frame and the swings, in the spacious lawned garden.
Alternatively, sit and relax with a good book as you watch the sun go down, or soak up the lovely views of the surrounding countryside and the Clwydian mountain range. Undoubtedly, the most popular part of the property is going to be the fabulous hot tub, where you can let your cares wash away as you sit beneath the stars in this idyllic and peaceful location.
The small village of Clocaenog is best known for the magnificent forest that bears its name and which runs to forty square miles. Pull on your walking boots or get out the mountain bikes and explore the woodland.
On the far side of the forest is Llyn Brenig, a beautiful reservoir which has a popular visitor centre and a wide selection of good walks. The market town of Ruthin is just a short drive and is home to a wide selection of high street and independent stores, as well as a fine selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
