Ty Coch Reviews

Really lovely cottage in the perfect location. The wood fired hot tub was great and we enjoyed using the log burner on chilly nights. The cottage is well equipped and cleanly. Comfy bed. We were going to bring a chess board and upon opening the blanket box we found one along with some blankets which were great to get cosy on the sofa and watch TV. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for somewhere isolated and quiet. Going out into the garden and being surrounded by cows and a lovely view was fantastic. The owners were very helpful and only a phone calltext away if you need help finding the property or if we needed some extra logs. We were also left a lovely bottle of Prosecco which was a nice touch Would definitely stay again in the future.
Lovely secluded cottage, stunning views. Comfortable and clean, we would definitely go again. Only minor negative no iron. Would definitely recommend if you like peace and quiet

Rachel
The cottage was beautiful and extremely clean. It was very well equipped for self catering. There were lots of towels provided and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the decor and the nice touches such as a robe and slippers each and the welcome Prosecco. For star gazers the sky around there is so clear and I would include this feature in the description. We didn't use the hot tub so can't comment on that. It was a shame however, that there wasn't a pub in walking distance as had been stated.
Lovely cottage fabulous views rreally enjoyed our 1st anniversary there the only ... Lovely cottage fabulous views rreally enjoyed our 1st anniversary there the only downfall was the weather but it didnt stop us from enjoying the hot tub in the rain would definitely recommend thank you

Sad shower water didnt run unable to shower every day bbq was dirty so was cooker very disappointed we ate out every day instead, bed fab scenery fab .
Really beautiful place, in the middle of nowhere, perfection! There is a stunning view and it was lovely and hot at the time! The only down side of that was the midges. However the own had left some spray. Any query's we had the owner met straight away. There is a lovely hot tub looking over fields and fields! The owner lives down the road so great if you need anything! I would highly recommend!
Stuart
The hot tub could do with more maintenance, dirty water and no chemicals to put in
Great little cottage. Location beautiful relaxing, quiet, awayfromitall with just the cows and sheep for company, but within easy reach of nearest town. Ideal place for a proper get away. Good facilities, nicely laid out, clean and comfortable. Would certainly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Ty Coch! The cottage was immaculate, so cosy and very well equipped. The complimentary fudge and Prosecco was such a lovely touch! The setting is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the countryside and the ocean. We found it to be a perfect base for walks and hikes in the surrounding area, giving us access to so many different places within 40 minutes or less. The hosts couldnt have been more helpful and were always available if we needed them. We would definitely recommend Ty Coch to anyone thinking of spending a few days in the Welsh countryside for a relaxing weekend away or as a base for a busy active day.
Excellent property situated in a quite location, which is perfectly located close to beeches, walks and exploring the local area.
Beautiful little place for a lovely peaceful weekend
Definitely 1010 beautiful barn, well equipped. Great hosts, very helpful and friendly including their doggos We had a very relaxing week Jan 23 it's the perfect place to unwind. The views were some of the best we've seen. Lots of dog friendly beaches and walks near by the road to the barn is a farmers track but if you take it gentle driving it's fine I wouldn't hesitate in recommending and will definitely keep in mind for another break towards the end of the year x

We had a lovely stay, the accommodation was fantastic, nice and private with obviously amazing views and very peaceful. There were a couple of things which could have been improved that would have made our stay even better however. We were planning to cook most meals so to not leave the dogs, but it was made difficult with a lack of utensils, such as there only being one small knife. The toilet wasn't attached or fixed to the wallfloor, under the bed was very dirty and the lighting was very dark, which made things difficult sometimes with it being winter. There was also no dishwasher tablets, and only a small amount of kitchen roll and toilet roll, so we needed to purchase these during our stay of only 4 days. We also appreciate the property is located ona working farm, however there was clearly a space behind the wardrobe where a mouse lived and the noise it made during the night woke both of us multiple times. Otherwise it was an idyllic, peaceful retreat, perfect to spend time walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Rachel
Could not be happier with the cottage, very clean and comfortable. Had all the necessities that was needed and more, down to the robes and slippers for us to use. Such a lovely spot to sit and relax in the hot tub after some lovely walks in the area. The bottle of Prosecco they left for us on arrival was a very nice touch.
Sophie
We really enjoyed our stay at Ty Coch, the cottage was lovely and private and cosy inside. The views from the hot tub were amazing
Lovely accomodation everything there that you need with fantastic views. Hot tub took a while to warm up but it was worth it.Owners were very helpful and we had bottle of Sparkling wine on arrival which was a very nice gesture. If you love peace and tranquility this is definitely the place to stay.
Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage. Views and hot tub were amazing and so peaceful. Cottage lovely and cosy. We came for our Honeymoon and everything was perfect. Would highly recommend, thank you again
Leanne
We came here on our honeymoon and was not disappointed the views were stunning photos don't do it justice. Due to circumstances,we had to bring our daughter with us. What can I say Lola and Owen are amazing went above and beyond. When we arrived they had a bed and sleeping bag and even left games for her. We also had a welcome gift a bottle of champagne and strawberries and a bar of chocolate. They had sprinkled rose petals everywhere even made a heart on the bed, it made me feel like bursting into tears happy ones. The hot tub was amazing it was well needed after trekking in the mountains. There was so many added touches like remote candles, soft towels, dressing gowns. We definitely want to come back again and i 100 recommend you stay there you won't be disappointed such a amazing place and hosts xxx
Lorraine
Spectacular views on a sunny day, very very peaceful and secluded. Hot tub is a great, does take a lot of wood and time to heat up but well worth it for relaxing in after a day of walking. The barn is small and compact but has been made comfortable and cosy. More glasses and mugs rather than just 2 and a bit more cutlery would have been better as even though its for 2 people, you dont want to have to wash up or put the dishwasher on after breakfast in order to have things to use at dinner time we were eating in a lot to save money. The water supply to the bathroom is a bit annoying, very slow and the shower is intermittent , boiling, freezing or okay !! But all part of the adventure in the hills. Nice little touches like remote candles , soft fluffy towels and extra towels, plenty of tea towels and oven gloves the robes and slippers were very appreciated. Comfortable out door furniture, perfect for a day relaxing enjoying the spectacular views. Nice bottle of Asti left for arrival. All in all a great place for a peaceful cosy retreat in a beautiful part of Wales the photos of the views dont do them justice you need to be there.
Andrea
The cottage and scenery were stunning. We had a lovely stay, weather perfect, lots of time relaxing on the patio and enjoying the hot tub . Nothing was too much for the owners, they were only a phone call away for extra wood etc
Lovely and quite with excellent views the owner Owen was a good bloke and a credit to the Welsh nation . Will hopefully revisit and spend some more time there
The property had a large patio area with lovely views of the area. There was a hot tub, plenty of garden furniture and a gas barbecue which we used to cook some delicious local sirloin steaks. Its isolation lends a sense of peace. Any issues were dealt with promptly by the owner and we had a very enjoyable stay.
We have had a fab week in this lovely barn conversion. We loved every minute. The views were to die for and as the weather was particularly good all week we had sea views all day every day. Ive listed what you get and its long! Superb views and exellent beaches nearby Lots of fab kitchen appliances Peaceful location Cracking hot tub with views!! Everything well equiped Outside blankets heaven when windy in the mornings Picnic set for outside All garden furniture brill in each area Fridge with big freezer compartment fab for our dog food! Comfy bed, loved it Lovely fluffy towels Nice touch with dressing gowns and slippers Many thanks for prosecco too Plenty big enough for 2 plus dog I really could go on. Owen was easy to get hold of for any questions we had and we had a ready supply of chopped wood for hot tub as we used it every day. Looking at those views whilst in there with a glass of bubbles was heaven. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful little get away to re charge your batteries.
The whole experience was fantastic. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Very remote and spectacular views. The hot tub was brilliant even when it was foggy but was amazing when the sun came out. The hosts were easy to contact and nothing was too much trouble, they even came to warm the hot tub up whilst we were out sight seeing. The area is amazing for dogs, our 8 month old puppy loved the outdoor space and exploring. The host left a bottle of Prosecco and some chocolates which was lovely. The guidebook was brilliant and we visited the potted lobster for a meal with the dog and it was amazing! Will definitely be returning and thank you for a wonderful stay!
We have visited Ty coch twice now and both times we couldnt ask for anything else , the views were amazing and the facilities are spot on , the owners are very helpful and were on hand if we needed anything, looking forward to a 3rd visit!
We had an amazing time at Ty Coch! This was our first time in Wales and it was better than we could have imagined. Ty Coch was a beautiful base to explore the views and location were excellent, the silence around is wonderful and just what we wanted, the hot tub was well worth the learning curve of lighting a woodburner it and the facilities inside were lovely, too a super comfy bed is just what you need after all that walking! If you arent confident with woodburning fires for the hot tub then contact the owners who were more than willing to come help! In fact they were great all the way through our stay! Checking in that everything was okay the first night, sorting a dripping noise a water filter very quickly and helping us light the fire were just a few things they did to help out and make us feel at home! Also, when we arrived we were greeted by a cold bottle of Prosecco and a bar of chocolate! A really lovely surprise which was very much enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks so much for making our first time in Wales such a special one! We will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend to anyone who enjoys being secluded somewhere beautiful to relax.
Samantha
Beautiful place for a romantic stay away from all the busy things in life. We stayed for a weekend the property is lovely just wish we stayed longer as we didnt realise there was any heating until halfway through. We burned all the wood trying to heat the property. Also never got to use the hot tub as that took more than the full day to heat. Id rebook now Im aware of these things but was a disappointed at the time
We stayed at Ty Coch for our Honeymoon and we could not recommend it more. The cottage was beautiful and kept to a very high standard. The owners are lovely people and more than happy to help out with anything you need during our stay. It is also located in a stunning area with so much to do right on your doorstep and the views from the garden are breath taking. We will be back to the cottage in the future, no doubt about it.
Beautiful little cottage. Great location and fantastic views of Snowdonia and Cardigan bay. Will definitely be going back.
Absolutely loved staying here, the views, the silence of the country side. All round would definitely come stop again.
Greate remote location, very quite and great views A
What an amazing find! The place is absolutely stunning and the views are even better. The host was more than helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The facilities are brilliant and the cottage itself is so cosy. It is very clean and has moderns aspects whilst having the rustic cottage feel. We will be back and would 100 recommend. Perfect for a weekend away.
Jacqueline
What a find! My husband and I booked the Ty Coch to get away from the fireworks as we have a nervous dog. We found the Ty Coch stunning, a really little gem and will be returning. The views are breathtaking and the location is perfect for exploring this part of North Wales. We cooked every night and took plenty of provisions which we manage to store away in the cupboards. The owners are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. They definitely spoilt us during our stay with champagne, Welsh chocolate, Welsh cheese and freshly caught scallops all very yummy.
Robert
We had a lovely time. The cottage was amazing, modern and clean with lots of amenities. Most importantly the VIEWS were incredible. Very peaceful location perfect for romantic holidays or escape from the city. The owners were really helpful and always there if you needed anything.
Amazing cottage away from everything & this is not stated enough in the description, but you do have to drive to find anywhere to eat. It wasn't a problem for us, as we don't mind not having a drink while out. We did some shopping for our stay & glad we didn't buy too much as the fridge is small with a freezer compartment in the top & only one narrow cupboard for anything else. We ate sat on the sofa when we stayed in as you can't get your legs under the table, which was a shame. But overall the place is a little gem, in a beautiful setting. We stayed in October & can only image how wonderful it would be in the summer.
The barn conversion was fantastic, making excellent use of the small space available. There were some lovely touches such as the variety of outside seating and the two patios, one with rocking chairs. The views were outstanding and it was great to have the livestock and fauna and flora right on the doorstep. Owners were very easy to contact and responded quickly to any issues.
Stephen
Its a lovely hillside location with views of farmlands to the sea. An amazing place just to get away from it all.
Lovely little barn conversion. Isolated which was just what we wanted. Beautiful views and lovely, helpful hosts. Lynne peninsula ..... stunning.
