Seagulls Reviews

Callie
We spent a wonderful week at Seagulls. The property is full of everything you could possibly need for a holiday best selection of kitchen equipment and toys for children I've ever seen in a holiday let. The hot tub was brilliant and it's so close to a lovely, quiet beach but with a more lively one very close by if that's your thing. The owner gave us plenty of information and was easy to reach. I really recommend this property
Tracey
The property was superb. Lovely house in an ideal location, close to the beach. Hot tub was the icing on the cake. We loved our stay.
Matthew
Terrific holiday property particularly if you have a small child. Plenty of toys and a hot tub with good access to the beach. Lots of space as well.
Valerie
Wonderful holiday, loved the wood fire and dishwasher. Very comfortable beds. Great access to the beach. Very high standard of cleanliness and lots of room in the house. Good parking. Would definitely go again.
Michelle
Great place and great pubs a short walk away. Only negative was that we couldnt find any dishwasher tab's. Lovely spacious rooms and fantastic hot tub. Just the ticket!
Glenda
We enjoyed our stay at Seagulls. The house is in a lovely village location backing onto sand dunes. It is spacious and well equipped. The piano and hot tub were an added bonus. Although there is room on the drive for 3 cars, on street parking was an issue. The neighbour opposite seems to have many cars and parks on both sides of the road. Access and parking is therefore difficult. When we first arrived there were cars blocking the entrance to the drive. All in all we would recommend Seagulls and will consider another holiday there.
We had a fabulous stay at Seagulls. The owner has thought of everything to give a home from home stay. Very clean and comfortable property, in a great location. The beds were very comfortable and the area around was very quiet, just a stones throw from the beach. We had a lovely meal at the Jolly Sailor which is a 5 minute walk away. We would highly recommend a stay at Seagulls
Angela
We all enjoyed our stay at Seagulls, a very welcoming, comfortable and clean cottage with the added bonus of the piano to enjoy. FeedbackSuggestions New frying pans as current ones are very worn and made omelettes resemble scrambled egg as non stick worn. Plastic tableware for young children. Kitchen roll holder would have been handy. Spare bedding just in case of accidents sick children as an example. Positives Ample fridge space was a bonus especially as we were a big group freezer needs a defrost. Plenty of tableware available which was great and plenty of bowlspansdishes to allow cooking and baking. Great selection of toys for little ones to play with. Great supply of cleaning productskitchen supplies foil, sandwich bags etc. that kept us going until we bought our own. Thanks for a great stay.
Very pleasant, spacious and wellequipped cottage in a good location for the coast.
Lesley
Lovely property just a few steps from the dunes leading to the beach. Well equipped with comfy beds and a hot tub was a bonus. Warm welcome from the villagers at the local and a nice welcome pack. Thanks, we will be back!
Beautiful setting, short walk to the beach. The hot tub was great. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a great stay
Graeme
A very welcoming and lovely home great base for venturing out.
Though I missed out due to Covid, the rest of the family had a wonderful time. Our three young grandaughters were very excited to return to Seagulls and loved their time there. The hottub provided great fun when at the house and the path through the dunes to the beach is great fun for 'little explorers '. The house is clean and well equipped for adults and children. Thank you.
This was a well needed break for me and my family. Hot tub was amazing and isnt overlooked by neighbours. The beach was a few minute walk. A very peaceful weekend. We will be back!
Situated a short stroll through unspoilt sand dunes from an equally unspoilt beach, Seagulls is a lovely house, comfortably furnished and exceptionally well equipped. The hot tub was a particular favourite with the younger members of the party. The owner could not have been more helpful. Newton village also ticks all the boxes having at least one splendid pubrestaurant we haven't tried the others, a beautiful old church, a village green and shop, just 5 minutes walk from Seagulls. Highly recommended.

The accommodation and location was very good.
Bulwinder
House was lovely, had everything we needed, hot tub was a bonus and nice for evenings after day out, close to beach.
Deborah
A lovely spacious house, comfy beds, piano, hot tub, only a few steps away from dunes and beach! Provided everything we could want to make a wonderful family holiday for four generations of us! Thank you!

The house was clean but could do with modernising conservatory needed a good clean cobwebs everywhere garden needed a sweep fallen leaves and debris were all over it owner not very nice has changed us for broken curtains which we have not done beware take photos of things that are broken when you arrive or you could be charged for them
We had a fantastic week at Seagulls with everything we could need for both adults and children, and spotlessly clean. The hot tub was a brilliant extra and much enjoyed and the toys were a great bonus for our grandchildren. We felt welcome and able to contact the owner had we needed to. We LOVED the location at the end of a quiet culdesac and next to the path through the dunes to the nearest beach. It was perfect for our young grandchildren to have short visits to the beach when too chilly for long stays. The only thing we didn't like was having to leave at the end of our super week. Thank you!
I did have wonderful time in the Seagull House. Changing scenery and relaxing hot tub evenings were very destressing for four adult house mates in those difficult times. The house is impressive, beautiful and very well equipped. Garden is great and very private. Place is very close to the beautiful beach, nature reserves and also local food stores and pub where people are very friendly. The Seagull House is very good base for visiting the South of Wales and Brecon Beacon. We really enjoyed our time here.
Nice quiet location within short walk to the beach
Lovely place. Nice touch by owner with a surprise bottle of prosecco and tin of biscuits. Tea and coffee and uht milk provided also which was lovely. Gorgeous bathrooms. Lovely bedrooms and lounge. The downstairs loo and kitchen were not as updated but perfectly fine. Dining room table was awesome we all wanted one the same! Hot tub was gorgeous even in the rain. Would have been lovely to have had some sort of gazebo or pergola over it for when rain really bad but we didnt mind. If we were picky ..itd be lovely to have salt and pepper cellars also at the cottage for breakfasts. And perhaps a new set of placemats. Thank you. Definitely would return.
Patricia
The house was beautiful and the owners had provided absolutely everything we needed. When we arrived we found a welcome gift of a bottle of wine and biscuits, which was so good. There was a large TV in the lounge and it was decided that another small TV in one of the bedrooms would have been a big help as we had four children with us, two boys and two girls, and there were arguments about it. Just a small problem and the only thing we would change. The fact that the beach is just five minutes away was wonderful and it is a lovely beach. Hot tub perfect. The house was clean and in a wonderful position. We would, without doubt, stay at this house again. Very good holiday with lovely weather.
Gareth
Fantastic location. Nice cosy homely environment with everything you need.
Brochure pictures did not do the house justice. Lovely property, large lounge and dinning area. Peaceful setting, nice little walk of a few minutes to sandy beach. 5 minute walk to some local pubs. Great for a family gathering or family holiday.
Seagulls is a lovely house in a brilliant location, very friendly place shops and pubs close by, short walk to the beach.
Amanda
Wonderful place , everything we needed to hand . Small issues resolved immediately by owner . Very responsive to suggestion from our goup . Wonderful location !
The cottage exceeded all our expectations. Extremely comfortable and very well equipped. But most of all the location was excellent.
Kathryn
It was a surprise 50th Birthday weekend , we all had a fantastic time in the house, we all loved the hot tub and lovely bedrooms plus great location near the beach and walks. House is in walking distance to 2pubs, the jolly sailor pub we booked for Sunday dinner excellent,
Lindsey
A great holiday home in a brilliant location. The hot tub and the wood burner were particularly welcome after wet and windy walks along the beach!
