Woodbine Cottage Reviews

Graham
Lovely comfortable cottage in a nice setting with good views and a cracking hot tub, what was there not to like apart from road closures everywhere on the route in a little gem. Pubs only 10 minutes away, good walking with panoramic views.
Trevor
Delightful little cottage. Beautifully furnished, well equipped, warm and cosy. Well recommended for a relaxing stay. Beds very comfortable. The hot tub a real delight. Would look at going again in the future.
We had our best stay in Woodbine cottage. Even though it rained heavily but the place was warm and cosy plus we had all we needed for our stay including pots and pans so making family meals was easy The kids loved playing the games and would definitely be back next year. Thank you for giving us a nice holiday
Has a wonderful stay at Woodbine Cottage and highly recommend. Lovely area, great facilities and the hot tub was brilliant. The cottage was decorated for Christmas which made our stay even more special. We definitely be back!
Lovely cosy little cottage, great facilities and location.
Joanne
Fab cottage well equipped for a short stay and great communication from the owner. Great location for a base to explore all the attractions of the peaks.
A beautiful cottage with a lovely garden area and hot tub. Very comfy beds with linen and towels provided which is a big bonus. The only downside for us was the parking, on the first couple of nights of our stay we had to park on the road a long long way from the cottage. Apart from that, we had an absolutely brilliant stay!
Lovely little cottage! Fantastic hot tub. Great base for exploring the Peak District!!
Lucinda
We had a peaceful family break and were pleased the kitchen was equipped to cook an Easter Sunday roast. Really helpful owners.
A beautiful property, which is well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. Will be returning and recommending to friends and family.
Lovely cosy cottage with everything on hand. Good location to visit many beauty spots and places of interest no trouble filling up the week with activities.

We couldn't have asked for a better first get away than this my partner and I felt so at home and became even closer for it. Thank you.
Lovely cottage in an amazing location. The weekend we came to stay it was freezing cold, super thick frost everywhere but the cottage was so cosy and warm. The kitchen well equipped everything you need to stay. I must say the master bedrooms bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in so so comfortable. The hot tub was great freezing cold outside but the tub was so nice with a great view over the valley. Nothing negative all positive thanks for a great weekend with friends
Elizabeth

Fabulous cottage everything and more that you need for a few days away I wanted to take the bed home with me it was so comfortable wonderful setting tucked away in a corner overlooking wonderful views of countryside will most definitely be back and highly recommend this cottage the owners were very responsive to everything we asked too via email
A really lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Was well equipped and the wifi worked well everywhere!! Beds were comfy and my daughter loved the window seats. The hot tub was a wonderful luxury and the cottage had been decorated for Christmas making it the perfect festive break. We hope to be back!!
This property is lovely. Very comfortable for 4 of us for a long weekend. The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake, it looked quite new and very clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable and varied in size from single to super king although I would suggest bigger duvets for both the larger beds as they barely reached the edges of the bed. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans and cutlery and a table for 4 people I didnt notice if there was a spare chair for a fifth. The bathroom was small but functional once you got the hang of the shower. Allinall a good spot to stay for a trip to the Peak District for 2 couples or small family.
Lovely cottage in great location

We had a fabulous stay at Woodbine Cottage. Very cosy and comfortable. Very clean, nicely presented and appointed. The location was beautiful and quiet. The hot tub was excellent and a real standout for us. A really nice week away thank you.
A very welcomed gift of wine and biscuits await your arrival at this lovely place to stay, complete with hot tub. The cottage is set back from the main square where there is parking for your car. It is well kept, with plenty of room. The hot tub is perfect, providing a relaxing start to the day or after visiting the many places around and about. The temperature can be adjusted to suit your needs. The cottage is well equipped for the selfcaterer, as well as there being a number of pubs with restaurants nearby. Somewhere you can relax and refresh yourselves.
We had a lovely stay at Woodbine Cottage. It was our first trip away with our 3 month old baby, so we needed somewhere that we were comfortable spending a lot of time in if she was unsettled. The cottage was perfectly kitted out with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely and cosy with the fire in the lounge. All of the photos were an excellent reflection of the cottage, everything was as described. The hot tub was also a real luxury after a big day of hiking! It was very helpful having direct contact with our hosts so we could get in touch with them if there were any issues although we didnt need to! and it made us feel a lot more comfortable knowing that we were speaking with the hosts directly. They also gave us some great recommendations for the area and were very helpful.
Hannah
Cozy cottage tucked away in a peaceful spot. Not far from Chatsworth house and Abraham heights which are both worth a visit. Enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub watching the birds in the trees. We had a lovely stay.
Michelle
The hot tub wasnt as clean as one would expect which was a little alarming. Some more pegs to hang wet clothes out would have been helpful. The bathroom needs some attention, especially the seal to the shower door. A mirror in all bedrooms would be useful. The crockery does not fitstack into the dishwasher so ended up washing up. The cottage accommodates for 5 but only 4 dining chairs. There were 5 of us altogether but only 2 robes and one pair of slippers? This in my opinion was high end in price so I expected a little more luxury. Some basic essentials for arrival would have been nice and weve experienced this at other places weve stayed. This was my only holiday this year with my two children. My friend joined us with her son. The children especially wished for a hot tub hence us choosing this cottage. The stay was lovely and we enjoyed it. Just a few things mentioned above that would have made it better. Good location and friendly neighbours. Bedding and towels nice. Good selection of leaflets with things to do and good games to use. Well equipped kitchen.
Claire
Fantastic cottage with beautiful surroundings. The hot tub with the view and the sounds of the country side was amazing. Most relaxed Ive felt in ages.
Hayley
I felt relaxed from the moment I arrived. Lovely cottage, clean and tastefully furnished.
Lesley
Lovely quaint cottage in the quiet location near matlock. Nice to find a cottage that was well equi pped and you rarely find such comfortable beds with gorgeous linen. After a day seeing the sights and going on the monsal trail it was lovely to come back and relax in the hot tub.....divine! Met the hosts who were lovely and very helpful.
Kirsty
Lovely stay, would come again.
Alison
Beautiful comfortable cottage in perfect location. Host on call during our stay and helped immediately when we contacted her. Beautiful location, scenery outstanding. Very welcoming and super equipped kitchen and games cupboard!
Lindsey
Excellent location, cottage had everything we needed and plenty to do in the surrounding area. Hot tub an added bonus, lovely to relax in after a busy day.
Karolina
We've had a lovely stay at Woodbine. The cottage is in the lovely area and is itself cozy and well equipped with anything that one could need for a week's stay. The hot tub was a cherry on a cake!
Lovely cottage views were stunning hot tub was a big bonus plenty to do lovely park close by for nice walks
Lyndsay
We had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The cottage is beautiful and was immaculately clean. It has everything you could possibly need with the added bonus of a hot tub. Whilst in the hot tub, you have amazing views over the valley. Although there is no drive, theres a car park and we never struggled to park which was initially a concern when booking. There was always spaces and so no need to worry. The furniture was comfy and theres some amazing views across the valley whilst laid in bed. Also lots of wild life to watch out of bedroom windows. Lorraine the owner is lovely and we had a drink together when she brought some dressing gowns for hot tub. Lots of places to visit and lots of takeaways which deliver. Would definitely recommend this cottage and we will definitely be back.
Daniel
We loved our 3 days in Woodbine Cottage, it had everything we needed and was in a stunning location close to all the things we wanted to do. The Hot Tub was the icing on the cake, great to unwind in after a busy day out and about. There are 5 of us in our family and it ticked all the boxes for us. Would recommend staying here to anyone, we will be back!
Natacha
We had such a wonderful stay thank you so much! It was the perfect retreat for us despite the storm. Our friend loved the surprise for her birthday! The cottage was perfectly clean and has lots of lovely walks nearby. The perfect escape!
Lindsey
This property is one of the best I've stayed at. It was so well equipped with crockery and glassware although the plates and dishes didn't fit too well in the dishwasher there were only two of us so this wasn't a problem. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the owners had kindly left milk, butter and bread plus a few extras which was a really lovely touch. The beds and pillows were very comfy. The hot tub was superb and the towelling robes were a bonus. Contact with the owner was excellent and she left her number if we needed it. I wouldn't hesitate to book again next year.
Lovely relaxing weekend, beautiful scenary, clean and cosy cottage with all the essentials the provision of bread, butter, milk and biscuits was a lovely addition. Hot tub was super! We had a lovely time and would love to come back and stay again.
Stayed in this property for a few days. It is a really lovely cottage in a beautiful village. Inside, everything is finished to a high standard and organised in a really easy way to ensure maximum comfort. There's endless choices for walking routes that are suitable for most. It was frozen underfoot for me but I would expect to get muddy in warmer months! The property owner offered great communication before the visit and was available for advice throughout. I would definitely recommend without a seconds thought.
A great place to stay for a few days. The host was caring and friendly. A great to visite the Dales.
