We had a wonderful stay at Stantway House. There were 16 of us but plenty of room for more. The house was very grand, spotless and comfortable, well decorated with all amenities. For a large, old house it was very warm. The heating was pre-set and we could turn the temperature up or down as required. A massive house..warm and beautifully laid out. We had 4 families each with a superking sized bed. Dining table was the centre of our meals and easily sits 16. Hairdryers provided for every room. As the log fire wasn't working (Oct 21) we would have loved some extra fluffy blankets to make it cosy. But the setting is stunning. The garden is wonderf ul. And the kitchen and utility room are a good size to accommodate us all. Washing machine and dryer fab. Local food Lyon Inn gets amazing reviews
