Cragside Townhouse Reviews

Emma
The place is in a good spot, but it definitely needs some upgrades. The cooker’s left side doesn’t workand the stained bath was a letdown. Also, those exposed wires in the front room? Not ideal at all.
Charlotte
Belford’s a pretty handy spot for exploring around. The local co-op staying open late was a real plus. We were a bit let down by the farm shop, but the Well House Coffee Shop was really lovely. The house itself is spacious and comfortable. Not sure why there’s no freeview in the main lounge - my elderly dad struggled with the internet TV without us. The kitchen could do with some upgrades too, as a few things didn’t work. Still, we had a lovely time and really enjoyed the Hot Tub Hide. Would come back!

We reached out about the oven’s left side not working and two hob rings being dead, but the owner already knew and didn’t try to fix them. The dishwasher was a pain, only working sometimes and needing constant resets. The fridge had missing shelves, which was pretty annoying. Also, there was no instruction book for the appliances, even though the owner knew. Overall, the property feels quite tired and definitely doesn’t match the high price we paid. Beds were comfy, but that’s about it. Not the best experience really.
Emily
The cottage’s design is really lovely and feels quite roomy. Plus, there's a Co-op and pharmacy just a quick walk away, which is super handy!
Emily
The place was tidy and cosy, but a little updating with the gadgets wouldn't go amiss, really! Definitely worth staying.
James
The cottage was cosy and tidy, which we appreciated. However, the night before check-in, we were told only some of the hobs workedand on our first night, it took ages to get even one going, so we ended up eating quite late. The owner’s suggestion to visit a closed chip shop wasn’t very useful. Fingers crossed they’ve sorted the cooker since then!
Sarah
Great spot, comfy house, but watch out for neighbours and some broken gear.
Emma
Comfortable stay, loved the hot tub! Lovely house.
James
Really enjoyed our stay! The house felt much larger than it appeared from the outside, everything was spotlessand the nearby pub was perfect for a quick drink. Will return for sure!
Emma
The house was lovely and in a great spot, only a quick 10-minute drive to a really nice beach. We all had a great time!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is fantastic-just a couple of mins walk to two pubs, a coopand a chippy, plus under 20 mins to some cracking beaches. The host was super friendly and gave us some local tips that weren’t in the guidebooks, which was great. The house itself was clean, spaciousand comfortable, perfect for us and the dog to relax. We did notice a few minor repairs needed in the kitchen and bathroom, but nothing major. We didn’t try the hottub as it didn’t seem very private, but overall, a lovely place to stay!
Emma
We loved the cosy townhouse in Belford, especially visiting in January. The hot tub was greatand the enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs. Highly recommended!

This place has a really nice feeland the layout works well. Can't wait for summer evenings to enjoy the sun in the garden or up on the roof with a drink.

We stayed in this spacious three-storey house nestled in a charming village. First off, it’s clear the place is well maintained, which was nice to see. The hot tub was a highlight, even if it’s looking a bit tired now. The house itself was super comfy with plenty of hot water for showers. We did notice some cleanliness issues, but we’ve mentioned this to the owners. Overall, a lovely spot, especially if you're into local pubs - check out the Black Swan, great vibe and good ales!
Oliver
Perfect spot for walks, chilling out, or exploring around here.
Emily
The house's location was perfectand we'd definitely come back!
James
Really enjoyed our stay here
Emma
The house is spot on, right in the centre with all you need close by - supermarket and a chip shop. Loved the spacious rooms, especially the super king beds. Everything was super comfy, really enjoyed our stay!
Oliver Jones
We stayed at Cragside in November and honestly, the cottage was fantastic. The overall standard was really high, with lovely bedrooms that had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was a real treat, especially after long walks on nearby dog-friendly beaches. Sadly, we had a power cut on our second day, so we had to cut our stay short and head home. The host and company were incredibly helpful and understanding, offering us compensation. We’ll definitely be back and using them again!
Emma
We loved the peaceful vibe here, perfect for exploring beaches and sights nearby. The house was roomy and cosy, with a lovely garden, parkingand a hot tub. The coop’s just a short walk for supplies too!

With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.

The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly.
