We had a lovely stay, friendly welcome and beautiful quiet location which suits us
Rachel
This was the perfect stay to get away from everyone and everything! Feels really private and out of the way, gorgeous scenery and wildlife around, just relaxing all round. The place was also very clean and tidy and you can tell the owners took a lot of time to make sure this was a perfect stay for guests. Will definitely be revisiting. Thank you for having us!
The hosts were incredibly helpful, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Location was beautiful, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Would definitely book again.
Me and my Boyfriend had the best stay here, the owners were lovely and there to greet us when we arrived! ! Was so clean and tidy, would highly recommend
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was clean, great shower, extremely comfy bed love the bedding! Nice little extras cosy blankets, picnic crockery incl wine glasses great while in the hot tub! Gorgeous, private, peaceful, romantic location. To keep cost down, we used the hob, bought food from the very friendly local Spar, and enjoyed delicious meals with a beautiful outlook. We were fortunate with weather so sunbathing on the decking, hopping in & out of the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind and relax. The owners are extremely friendly!
The stay was absolutely beautiful, it had everything we needed and it was just one of the nicest places to stay.
Gareth

Harrison
Very nice and friendly. Extremely welcoming, gave us info on everywhere in the area which was helpful. The whole area of the plot was incredible, so nice and peaceful. Lovely to just sit outside at night and look at the stars. Hot tub was unreal, so spacious and set to the perfect temperature. We agreed it was the best place we have stayed at so far in terms of a lodge break. Cant fault it one bit, had everything we needed too. Thank you very much for our stay, and the lollies were a nice touch for the drive home.
Lovely property, ideal setting if you want a relaxing stay, hot tub was excellent
Brilliant place to stay, facilities were fantastic and set up brilliantly. prosecco left was a nice touch and owners very welcoming.
Lovely little cabin, so quiet and just what we needed to recharge. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay, even when it was raining. All the facilities we needed were there including a fan which came In handy as the weather was muggy if not sunny all the time. We made friends with the wild life including ducks and pheasants and fed the Koi Karp in the pond. Only saw Trevor on our stay but he was lovely and told us about the area. Went to Gretna and into to the town of Carlisle. Lots of nice restaurants but book in advance. We would come back again and stay longer than the 3 days we did this time. Thank you for such a fantastic time. We didn't want to leave.
What a wonderful place to stay for a quiet break away! ! The owners were just lovely, even to the point of finding a cover for my motorbike as we were expecting rain without me asking... that's the extra mile right there!! We will definitely be looking to book again in the future as it was just perfect for my wife and I. Thank You So Much
Rebecca
Booked this for my partners birthday for 3 nights very last minute at such an amazing price! We arrived here Tuesday afternoon, we managed to score perfectly with the weather! The place was beautiful and very secluded considering there was lodges around us! Lovely pond in front of the lodge with a fire pit to the side and it made us feel alone and away from everything else. Inside it was small but perfect for everything we needed, totally immaculate and a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. We had a lovely few days here. We ordered a takeaway on the first night, and travelled out to Longtown and Gretna the other days short ride out in the car, come home and cooked food with the hob supplied. On my partners birthday we came back to a bottle of Prosecco and happy birthday balloons what a lovely personal touch which made us want to come back again! Spent most nights in the hot tub and chilling around the fire pit. We were greeted every morning by the owners dogs after breakfast was cooked very friendly and happy to see us, we seen the owner Danielle a few times and she was ever so lovely recommending us places to visit. She was on hand if we needed her but never bothered us during our stay. I would 100 recommend this place to anyone that comes and were looking to book back up again in the future!
Absolutely beautiful, can't wait to go back

The property was wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed my time and the jacuzzi was amazing, clean and ready for use for the evening of my arrival. The only issue is the wifi is really slow. Additionally there is no reception what so ever, so bear that in mind, but that is to no fault of the owners.
We loved our 3 night mini honeymoon
Beautiful, relaxing stay. We weren't able to use the chiminea as it hadnt been emptied and was very wet which was a shame, but not the end of the world.
Kelsey
This is a beautiful little property. We were greeted by the owners daughter who was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. The property was beautiful, it was spotless and had everything we needed for 3 nights. The hot tub was ready for us when we got there and we enjoyed sitting on the decking taking in the gorgeous view. The property feels so secluded and you are completely left alone for your stay which was brilliant. The shack was an amazing feature which we were not expecting, we bought some of the honey on sale and it is amazing! There are some great places to eat in Longtown, which is only a 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
Charlotte
It's a beautiful little place in a lovely part of the world. It's incredibly private so the hot tub and bifold doors meant we spent lots of time drinking in the nature of the pond and wildlife area. We had lots of visits from Mr Pheasant It is compact with no wardrobe and only a small handheld mirror, so pack light. As pathetic millennials we would have loved a bigger TV maybe that swivelled around to the bedroom area, or a bigger sofa as we had very rainy weather so settled in for a movie and popcorn and found it a little tricky to get properly comfy but that compelled us to get out and brave the rain more and of course to enjoy the hot tub in the rain...which is fanctasic! We would highly recommend going for a meal at the hidden river cafe. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food and we saw deer on our way there. Book a taxi well in advance if you want to have a drink. Longtown has lots of amenities and is a short drive, not really walkable for the pub but with a hot tub at home we were happy to get back and settle in for the evening. Good takeaways available which is great as cooking isn't the easiest but I did manage a full English! Would highly recommend for couples wanting some down time. It's a bit like very glamourous glamping, I felt at one with nature, yet I had all my creature comforts. I would love to go back and try one of the other properties on site, all of which seemed really private and like they had something unique to experience. Also, the Moat honey sold in the shack is chefs kiss. Would highly recommend.
Sophie
Absolutely stunning location and the perfect property for any couple looking to travel to the Lakes andor Scotland. The accommodation couldnt be improved upon, is perfectly private and wonderfully inspiring. Would recommend to absolutely anyone.
No oven and we had brought oven meals with us, so was a shame but we still had a lovely time. The lady that greeted us was so lovely, very informative and friendly. Lovely accommodation
Lovely owners, great location and a stunning cabin. Very clean and tidy on arrival. Highly recommend.
The owners were amazing, Danielle showed us to the lodge and explained all about the local area. Told us all about what was going on around as recently got a wedding license. It is an amazing place 1 of 5 holiday let's on the site but you wouldn't know it all looks like the house

The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT

Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...

Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles.
