The Whisky Room Reviews

James
We loved the cosy vibe of the place and the stunning location. There’s a lovely little path at the bottom of the hill that leads straight into Pitlochry and Moulin via the Black Spout - perfect for walks. The host was really friendly and quick to reply whenever we had questions. The hot tub being ready when we arrived was a nice surprise, though heating it ourselves was a bit tricky. It takes longer than expected to fill and warm up, so give it a good stir before jumping in! Definitely recommend!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay, it was calm and restful. The cottage’s location makes exploring Pitlochry and nearby spots super easy.

Great staff and lovely vibe

We really enjoyed our stay in the whisky room! The place was beautifully decorated and had all we needed for a relaxing countryside escape. The hot tub, BBQand cosy vibe made it perfect. Highly recommend for couples and their furry friends-such a lovely spot!
Emma
We loved how secluded and peaceful it was, perfect for a winter getaway. The place is small but cosyand the heating was quick to warm up the room. Trying the log burner hot tub was a real highlight, especially with the locally sourced, natural water - it’s different from usual hot tubs, but we loved it! Once you settle in with the bubbles, it’s just fantastic. Also, the fact that my partner proposed here makes it even more special. Honestly, can’t recommend this place enough - it’s truly a gem!

The cabin was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked it as a 30th birthday surprise for my partner and it definitely lived up to expectations. We had a great time from beginning to end. The area around was just stunning.

Sarah
Really charming quirky cottage in a lovely location. We especially loved being able to walk our dog straight out into the countryside and woodland. The kitchen is quite compact but has all the essentials, so it’s manageable. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, just remember to light it about 2-3 hours before you plan to use it, especially the first time. Definitely a place we would stay again!
Emma
Lovely place! The bed was so cosy and the stable door was a nice touch for the dog! Outdoor space was amazing and the fairy lights really made it look magical. Loved the fire pit! Would highly recommend.

Really lovely spot, easy to find and quite close to Pitlochry. The cottage was super cosy, spotlessand nicely kept, with nice little touches like biscuits and Prosecco. Would definitely recommend and we’d love to come back. Thanks so much :)
Alexandra
The mezzanine bed isn’t really suitable for people of a certain age, but the sofa bed is comfy enough. The hottub area is absolutely brilliant. We really appreciated the isolation and it was just perfect for our dog. It would be a lot more convenient if the toilet was attached to the accommodation though.
Emma
We had a lovely stay. The location is fantastic and the cottage is beautiful and really cosy. It felt very homey and perfect for relaxing. We’d definitely come back again!
Emily
Absolutely lovely stay at The Whisky Room. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need. We loved the hot tub and outside area. The sleeping quarters were great with a huge Smart TV for the bad weather nights (gale force winds on one of days). Pitlochry is a brilliant town only a couple of miles away and I recommend a stop on Moulin for a lunch/beer. We loved it.
Alex
Nice space on the outskirts of Pitlochry. Cosy interior with a lovely hot tub! We really enjoyed our stay, it’s perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The setting is peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed. Would definitely recommend if you’re after a chillout place with a great vibe!
Emily
Honestly, an information pack would be really helpful. Sometimes we just need a bit more detail to feel confident about things. It’s a small thing but can make a big difference in making us feel prepared. Would be great if they could sort that out!
Rachel
We really enjoyed our stay, everything was just perfect. The place felt welcoming and comfortable, exactly what we needed. No complaints at all, really happy we chose this spot. Definitely would recommend it to friends looking for a nice getaway. Can't wait to come back!
