About Totleywells Grange

It's a true treat to stay at this luxury Scottish home located within an equestrian centre, just 12 miles from the centre of Edinburgh. With six bedrooms and space for 10 guests, this grand residence is wonderful for a trip with extended family or for a group of old friends and their children.

It's beautiful and elegant inside and out and is surrounded by views over the paddocks where you can watch horses and riders train. The interior of the house is a sight to behold, with its cohesive colour schemes, carefully chosen furniture, printed fabrics, themed upholstery and fluffy rugs.

From the elegant wood panelling to the velvet cushions and plush carpets, every last detail has been thoughtfully designed and finished to an exceptional standard. You'll enter into a spacious and welcoming hallway which is decorated with a window mirror and perfectly matching accessories.

This leads to a spectacular kitchen and dining area, boasting sleek countertops, modern appliances and a copper-topped dining table seating ten. A central island/breakfast bar creates a spot for perching with coffee.

The gorgeous lounge offers comfy seating for everyone to gather around a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV for entertainment. Be sure to check out the thistle wallpaper and quirky brick fireplace.

From here, huge patio doors open out to the garden. A large cloakroom and utility area help keep everyone's outdoor gear organised, ensuring the living spaces remain uncluttered.

Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor - a super-king-size with an en-suite shower room, and another with a bunk bed, and there's an additional shower room for convenience. Head up to the first floor to reach four bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom.

There's also a beautifully decorated family bathroom. Each of the rooms meets the same high standards, with themed fabrics like checks and Highland cattle making many appearances.

Our stay at Totleywells Grange was fantastic! The house is stunning and kept spotlessly clean, with a really high-quality finish. We were celebrating our grandparents’ golden wedding anniversaryand Events by Carriages did a great job with balloons, bannersand a yummy cake on arrival. Everyone relaxed so easilyand we’re already planning to come back for a longer visit. Honestly, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a lovely time at Totleywells! The house was well-equipped and really comfortable, perfect for relaxing. The kids adored sleeping in the pony room and loved the Shetland pony experience with Rhianna-she was fantastic with them. We also had some fun competitions on the pool table in the games room. Overall, a holiday that really suited everyoneand we’d definitely come back!

Honestly, we didn't really want to leave this place! It’s got everything - super clean, feels safeand all the amenities are spot on. The kids loved the huge garden to run around inand we couldn’t get enough of the hot tub, pool tableand table tennis-they really make the place special. The firepit was a big hit too, especially late at night once the kids were asleep. Plus, the location's fantastic with loads to do nearby. The Shetland pony experience at the equestrian centre was a real highlight for the kids. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was spotless and had everything we could ask for. The caretakers were lovely-always ready to help or give tips whenever we needed. Honestly, the only thing missing was a pub nearby for a proper pint. Thanks a lot for a wonderful experience, we’d definitely come back!

We had an amazing time staying here! It’s perfect for families of all agesand everyone left feeling relaxed and happy. The house looks stunning, obviously recently renovated and really well done. Although we mainly communicated via email and messenger, the staff were super friendly and helpful. We loved it so much, we’ve already booked for next year!

Honestly, we had a fantastic time! The house was spacious and perfect for relaxing with the family. It definitely went beyond what we hoped for. The kitchen had everything we needed, making meal prep easy. The beds were super comfyand having plenty of toilets was a real bonus. The kids loved the horses on site, especially brushing and walking Wellie the Shetland. Watching the horse jumping was surprisingly calming. All in all, a brilliant getaway we’d definitely do again!

Smoo Cave - IV27 4QB
about 10 Miles
Smoo Cave is a popular attraction which can be enjoyed all year round but visitors should wrap up warm during the winter months.  This spectacular limestone sea-cave in Sutherland is the largest in Britain and is simply spectacular. The cave was formed by a burn that runs down into the rear chamber, as well as erosion caused by the sea. Guests can take the path from the car park which runs right through the cave. Boat trips are available in the summer months and are an excellent way to fully appreciate the cave from all angles.
Kailzie Gardens - EH45 9HT
about 26 Miles
Kailzie Gardens are another popular attraction and are an excellent place for a day out in the summertime. The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
M&D's Scotland's Theme Park - ML1 3RT
about 26 Miles
M&D's, Scotland's Family Theme Park is a "must do" day out if you are in the Strathclyde region. The fun attraction is set within 20 acres of beautiful Country Park and offers rides, shows and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Besides the outdoor rides the site is also home to Amazonia - Scotland's only indoor Tropical Rainforest where visitors can meet loads of exotic animals. There is also a large indoor soft play area and an amazing glow in the dark bowling alley, so plenty to do if the weather is bad. During December Scotland's largest Grotto with animated Christmas scenes can also be enjoyed.
