About Breeze Cottage

Breeze Cottage is a tastefully furnished holiday home, situated in the Village of Gardens, Pendra Loweth, and is one of a group of purpose built, privately owned holiday cottages ideally positioned close to the bustling and vibrant harbour town of Falmouth and the sandy beaches of Swanpool and Maenporth. Ideal for families with children looking for a getaway to Cornwall, the on-site facilities include tennis courts, children's outdoor play area and an indoor splash pool (seasonal opening hours).

Positioned on the pretty village green, this comfortable holiday home has a practical and contemporary interior with open plan living room with a spacious seating and dining area and corner fitted kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a separate family bathroom.

Outside, a private sheltered patio offers a good degree of privacy and a picnic bench where parents can relax and watch whilst their children play on the communal lawn. Set on the south side of the Village, alongside the stream that winds its way towards the cove, the cottage is a short walk from the amenities on site.

Maenporth Beach, a quieter venue for those seeking rest and relaxation. Swanpool beach is popular with families, with a beach café and watersport hire and tuition.

The bustling resort of Falmouth home to the National Maritime Museum is a 10 minute drive where there is lots on offer for all ages and interests. The town is packed with a vibrant mix of cafes and restaurants, shops and galleries.

The North Helford region is a quintessential destination for visitors its mix of woodland, creeks and historic villages making it a unique destination to explore. Highly recommended for families is the sub-tropical gardens of Trebah, with 4 miles of footpath cascading down to their very own beach on the Helford River, a perfect spot for a summer picnic.

The Rock Gardens, Caves and Nursery - TQ5 9HG

The Rock Gardens Caves and Nursery have an amazing setting in the old Palace Quarry. The gardens offer an abundance of trees, plants and floral displays including a very grand 80ft Elm Tree and a stunning Weeping Ash. The site also offers a large carp pond, a breathtaking illuminated cave and a tea room serving tasty local produce.

A fantastic attraction with something for everyone.  Combining rides, activities and exhibitions it's all here in the one place. Look out for seasonal events too such as the Fire in the Sky event on 27th October 2010 - discount advance tickets are available for most of the events so don't forget to check out their website.  Some of the most popular thrill rides include the first Twisting Droptower in the UK called the Skyraker 001.  The Hornert Rollercoaster is also not to be missed.
Paradise Park - TR27 4HY

Paradise Park first opened its doors in Cornwall in 1973 and has been one of the regions top attractions ever since. What was once just a tropical bird garden is now a refuge for many different species of animal and aims to be educational as well as fun for its visitors. The inhabitants include some typical UK creatures including Otters, and Red Squirrels as well as some more unusual and rare animals including Red Pandas. Younger children will enjoy meeting the friendly animals in the farm area. The site has recently been extended and now also has a fantastic Jungle Barn where kids can let of steam.

The amazing Lost Gardens of Heligan are one of Cornwall's most popular attractions and offers arrange of activities for adults and children. Besides the beauty and unique atmosphere of the gardens there are also organised events to enjoy throughout the year including a Harvest Display, Wild Food Walks, Halloween and Christmas celebrations and Book Signings.
Dairyland Farm World - TR8 5AA

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
Newquay Zoo - TR7 2NN

The award winning Newquay Zoo makes a fun family day out in North Cornwall.  With over 130 different species of animals to see and plenty of fun activities for the kids this attraction is ideal.  Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit.  Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters.  Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.
Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre - PL15 8EU

Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre offers a day full of action and adventure for all the family come rain or shine. If the weather is good then children can take advantage of the vast open space to run around and play, enjoy pony rides, train rides, trampolines and Go-Karts and explore the nature trails. If the weather is not on your side then the huge play barn is the place to head and as climbing frames, slides, ball pool and rope swings as well as a baby and toddler area.
The Eden Project - PL24 2SG

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
