Upon entering Otters Leap, you will be greeted by a spacious super-king-size bedroom, which can be converted into a twin room on request, offering flexibility for your sleeping arrangements. Also on the ground floor, you will find a double bedroom, complete with an elegant en-suite featuring a walk-in shower, providing a private haven for guests.

The ground floor also houses a sleek bathroom, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring the Devonshire coast. The heart of the home is undoubtedly the kitchen/diner, where you can prepare delicious meals using the array of appliances at your disposal, before gathering at the dining table to enjoy a family feast.

The detached property sits within the gorgeous grounds of the owner’s home, with sweeping views of the River Torridge, the little white town of Bideford and the Tarka Trail, all from the privacy of your own hot tub. Sleeping four, it’s great for couples, families or a group getaway, with walking, cycling and water sports all available in the vicinity. The property, accessed via a separate driveway, opens into an entrance hall which leads into a lounge/kitchen/diner area. The lovely living space has a vaulted ceiling and extensive river views across the valley to the hills beyond, along with a wood burner, comfortable seating and Smart TV with all mod cons, including Netflix. Bi-fold doors lead out to an enclosed, private patio and lawned area, where you’ll find garden furniture, fire pit/BBQ/pizza oven and a private hot tub with stunning views of the surrounding area. The bedrooms, one king-size with en-suite and one twin zip-and-link (which can be made into a super-king on request), are found on the ground floor, while upstairs you’ll find a relaxing mezzanine area, with games and books. Found on the outskirts of Bideford, you’ll find plenty to do in this lively North Devon location. Enjoy a walk or a bike ride along the Tarka Trail, accessible from Bideford with routes either towards Torrington or Barnstaple, or head the 4 miles to Westward Ho! for fantastic surf - there are surf schools should you need a lesson or two! Enjoy it as a base from which to explore the pretty town and its surroundings, including charming Appledore, 3 miles away, and the beach at Westward Ho! the same distance. Return home to bubble in the hot tub, play tournaments in the two games rooms and take in the magnificent outlook. Wander in to find elegant accommodation and modern day comfort. Prepare meals in the kitchen/diner, then gather round the table in the dining room for lively dinners. Take a cup of tea into the conservatory or a glass of wine into the lounge, where you can watch the Smart TV together. Also at this level, you’ll find a utility room, cloakroom and WC, plus a double bedroom, with en-suite wet room, which can be arranged as a twin in advance. A triple room, with three singles; two super-king-size rooms that share a Jack and Jill bathroom with free-standing bath, and a twin room, are all on the floor above. There is also a bathroom on this level. Wander up to the next floor, which can be self-contained, to find another bedroom with three singles, plus a double. The games room, another kitchen and a bathroom are also up here. Spill out into the garden to light the BBQ, fire up the hot tub and soak up the scenery. Find storage for your cycles and parking for four cars. Take the younger members of your party to the BIG Sheep theme park, less than 2 miles away, or the Milky Way Adventure Park, 9 miles away. Visit pretty coastal Clovelly, 11.5 miles away, where donkeys are used to carry goods.

Nestled in a tranquil spot, within attractive gardens and with its own hot tub, the four-bedroom retreat sleeps up to eight guests and has been carefully finished to ensure a high level of comfort. Ideal for an extended family or perhaps two families on a Devon break together, the stylish property makes a great base from which to explore the countryside and coast. Pull up onto the private drive, open the front door and step inside to discover a home with a creative, reverse-level design. Leave your walking gear or flip flops in the hall then find four bedrooms all at this level. These include a super-king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and a door opening to the outside space, a king-size bedroom, and a twin bedroom that can be arranged a super-king-size if discussed at the time of booking. All the bedrooms have Smart TVs. There is also a family bathroom and a bedroom with a small double bed. Make your way upstairs to the chic, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where light pours in through enormous windows. Stoke up the wood burner on chilly nights and lay the table in the dining area for lively meals together. Here you can swim in the sea or try your hand at surfing or kitesurfing.

A wonderful quiet and private property on the outskirts of Bideford. Easy and immediate access to the large enclosed garden was a bonus for our dog.The Hot Tub was excellent and we had everything we needed for a relaxed holiday. Close proximity to many lovely beaches and the Tarka Trail.

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
