Set in an elevated position overlooking Torquay Harbour sits The Grottoes, a landmark property providing a pet-friendly stay with stunning sea views throughout the property, ideal for a large family or group of friends wanting to explore the English Riviera, a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Upon entering the property, the hallway boasts spectacular views over the harbour & across Torbay. Moving through, you'll be greeted by a spacious living/dining room, complete with a Smart TV and a warming gas fire, perfect for those intimate nights in.

The dining area offers ample seating for all guests, making it the ideal spot for enjoying home-cooked meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. Outside, the property benefits from a side balcony & large decking area featuring a hot tub, both furnished and ready for you to enjoy alfresco dining or a morning coffee whilst planning your day's adventures.

Venture down to the next floor where you'll find the master king-sized bedroom with en-suite & boasting a gorgeous bath, walk-in shower & dressing room, offering a touch of elegance to your stay. On the same floor, you'll find a further king-size bedroom and a twin room, providing flexible sleeping arrangements for all party configurations.

A wetroom shower & separate cloakroom serves these two rooms & helps ensure there are never any morning rushes when it comes to getting ready! A second en-suite bedroom is accessed down it's own staircase from the entrance level, giving it a quiet, private feel.

These generous bedrooms and terraced garden provide ample space for a group keen to enjoy panoramic views over the bay in comfort. For those seeking entertainment, the lower level of the property features a games room with Smart TV & selection of games, perfect for some friendly competition.

Family favourites include the fun and playful Lemurs of Lemur Wood, and the inquisitive and cheeky Monkeys of Monkey Heights. If you are looking for a fun family day out with a difference then a visit to the Hedgehog Hospital is a great choice. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.

Woodlands Leisure Park - TQ9 7DQ

Woodlands in Dartmouth is a fantastic theme park with non stop fun for everyone. It's also home to the UK's biggest indoor venture centre. Some of the most thrilling rides are the Cyclone Watercoasters, the Sidewinder and The Mighty Twister. For younger children there is the Golden Bear City - a superb wild west world with a school house, farm and much more. River Dart Country Park - TQ13 7NP

River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship. For younger children there is a toddlers Play Area and a small Beach. During high season supervised activities may include the mega Zip Wire, Canoeing and Rock Climbing.

This popular adventure park is full of thrills and excitement as well as having loads for younger children to take part in as well. The best theme park rides include the Tidal Wave log flume and Maximus the rollercoaster. Other fantastic rides include the the New Vortex Watercoaster ride and the Queen Bess pirate ship. Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.
