About Sunset Cottage

Sunset Cottage is a wonderful, characterful, and charming cottage resting in Swimbridge, just outside Barnstaple, in Devon. A decked area, with seating and your own covered hot tub, leads you into the house from a delightful garden full of colourful flowers, this property is a great choice for you and your loved one.

Upon entering your new home away from home youâ€™ll be warmly welcomed by the open-plan living room, fitted with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. This space is filled with a Smart TV, meaning the two of you will never be behind on any of your favourite shows while away, a dining area where you can enjoy those lovely home-cooked meals, and a relaxing sitting area to unwind in after the dayâ€™s adventures.

Dine al fresco in the summer months, either on the decking or on the second veranda beside the bubbling water feature. When sleep starts to call to you, make your way into the inviting double bedrooms to catch your rest before taking a warm rinse in the shower room to freshen up in the morning.

Fantastic beautiful romantic cottage. Add bonus of hot tub in the most delightful setting. Everything was fo beautifully presented, even the Christmas tree, such a lovely touch. The offer of in house menu is brilliant, fantastic quality and quantity. Do not pass up this opportunity to book this property.

My wife booked the cottage for a long weekend for a birthday treat. We were warmly greeted and shown all the facilities. The cottage was tastefully appointed and very comfortable. We felt at home immdiately. At night it was so quiet and we slept like babes. We also had a meal brought in one night which was delicious, with no need to stagger home afterwards. The icing on the cake was the hot spa which we thoroughly appreciated and made good use of. All in all a superb weekend retreat.

I found the cottage to be everything you can want from a home to a home. The place was excellent and the meals Tracy prepared was brilliant. It was so peaceful and quiet and you could relax straight away. Loved the place.

There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings. Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast". There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga. As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
