Paul
We booked Stafford House for a family get together and in knowldege British weather can be unreliable...as it proved to be...so the swimminng pool was an absolute life-saver which three kids thoroughly enjoyed/embraced. There was 10 of us so was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space when needed.
Richard
It is a very comfortable house with plenty of good quality accommodation for all ten of us. It was our third visit to Stafford House and it didnt disappoint. The swimming pool is a very important part of the property and was well used. Its position above Westward Ho! is good with partial views of the sea and quite close to the amenities and beach.
Florence
Perfect house for our stay again - ticks all the boxes for a family aged between 4 and 78. Location is great and the views are perfect. Spacious for 12 and the swimming pool such a treat. Well be back.

Stafford House is an amazing destination property for families with dogs. It has plenty of room for everyone and had very thoughtful touches throughout the house. A well stocked kitchen and everything you could need for a stay in good and bad weather. The pool with it's hot tub and sauna take the stay to another level and we didn't want to leave.
Helen
The cottage/house was beautiful. Rooms were of excellent proportions and beautifully furnished. Nice convenient location in quiet residential area. Sea views limited due to house layout/neighbouring trees. Comfortable beds and sufficient bathrooms. Challenging negotiation needed over bedroom allocation, as one room had both balconies, sitting area Read moreand largest en-suite. Kitchen well equipped, but lacked instructions for all appliances. What a holiday! Im not a regular holiday person but this time it was to celebrate my wifes birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary & we were not disappointed! Stafford House was perfect in every way, well maintained, equipped, comfortable, safe & quiet. We had family and friends visit & they like us were completely wowed! We loved every aspect of our stay, from the scenery and peace during the evenings sat on the balcony watching the sea to the dog friendly garden and fantastic pool! Thank you

We loved our stay at Stafford House, it was perfect for the ten of us, with 5 children under 7, who loved the pool. Well equipped and comfortable. Lots to do in the area and a lovely beach on the doorstep.
David
The pool room exceeded all our expectations in every respect and was used and enjoyed by all our party. Overall, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable.
Alison
We had a wonderful family holiday in this property. Arrival was all straightforward, the property was very clean - and a lovely welcome pack greeted us. Location is great (although the steep walk back from the beach was a bit much for my elderly parents), living areas and kitchen brilliantly spacious, and the pool and sauna an absolute hit! Would d efinitely recommend this property and will hopefully be back again one day! Thank you!
Karin
A wonderful and luxorious house. We enjoyed our stay at Stafford House with the wonderful indoor pool, the cozy living rooms, the comfortable beds and the breathtaking view over the Westward Ho! coastline.
Linda
Our 5th stay at the wonderful Stafford House. Ideal for large family gatherings, plenty of space to chill and have fun. Lovely house, well equipped with fantastic swimming pool and sauna area.
Alisan
Great location and very well equipped house. There is a hill to walk up from the town but you will be fitter by the end of the week. Pool is a great addition and well kept. Lots of places to visit locally.
PETER
Great property and location.
Steven
The house is beautiful, very large but still very homely & its facilities & amenities are excellent. Owners have ensured it is a property to enjoy for larger numbers but still have your own spaces. We were 6 adults & 4 children aged 3 & under & all ages thoroughly enjoyed our week at this property. Some adults had to attend to work responsibilities during the week but this was easily accommodated within the facilities without disruption to those working nor to those enjoying their holiday.
Gwyn
Excellent comfortable chill out house. Lovely views plenty of room and dog friendly and safe.
Clive
A beautiful house with plenty of room with lovely bedrooms, some of which have sea views, especially the master suite where the view is stunning with two balconies. Loved the large kitchen with its huge table and seating for 12 where we celebrated our granddaughters 6th birthday and enjoyed our family meals. A truly lovely, lovely place and one we will remember for many years to come.
Geraldine
Such a beautiful property with stunning views & plenty to keep all ages of our extended family entertained.
Rosemary
The house is amazing and location and view
Matthew
What a fantastic house. Everything you need is inside. Just felt like home. Swimming pool and hot tub and sauna is amazing. I lived in there most of the week.
Stephen
We had a great week at Stafford House despite the weather doing its best to spoil it. The house was warm and welcoming on arrival with a lovely Xmas tree in the lounge. In fact we were never cold in the house nor did 11 of us ever run out of hot water. The pool and spa bath were a godsend in view of the January weather. Location is excellent and we were able to walk to the Pier House venue for our New Years celebrations although the walk back is pretty steep!!
Emily
We had the best Christmas! Such an amazing house and the pool is brilliant for the kids Gutted Christmas is booked for next year Couldn't fault anything: We had a problem with the freezer door not closing properly (lost a bit of food) but a guy came out and sorted it straight away and put a new freezer door on
Deborah
The house was really great, big enough for all my family and especially 6 grandchildren, who enjoyed the swimming pool every day. The beds were comfy and the views beautiful, kitchen well equipped apart from sharp knives and perhaps a few more saucepans as I cooked a Christmas dinner for 12 and had to use them twice but overall we had a great week
Joanne
Lovely property exceeded expectations , pool and pool room lovely and warm , had all facilities that we needed , nice touch the welcome pack , all of the bedrooms a good size , would thoroughly recommend this property, I had an amazing 60 th birthday with my family , thank you for making it special , lovely memories , I actually cant think of any t hing negative to write , wouldnt change a thing .
Kay
Amazing house but quite a few maintenance issues arose which Steve sorted (well some of them). It would have been useful if Holiday Cottages had given us the correct contact number, I would suggest you make contact with maintenance before you arrive. I spent hours and 18 phone calls ringing a number nothing to do with housekeeping company.
Frederick
An excellent house and stay with easy access to many places. The pool was an added bonus for our younger guests.
Gillian
We had a lovely family time celebrating a 60th birthday party at this beautiful homely property. The location was excellent if you wanted to venture out. The facilities in the pool area were great but small detail regarding details to operate jacuzzi and other amenities would be helpful. Also Sky facility unable to be used for any programmes above 12 certificate due to parental lock! our party were all adults. Secure garden for dogs, we had 3 with us and they enjoyed the outside space.
Neil
Excellent location for a large family gathering. Loads of space to mix and chill out individually. Pool and spa pool ideal. House is very modern decor and kitchen is super for family meals. Highly recommend.
Richard
This is a very comfortable house and our second visit. We love North Devon and Stafford House is our favourite accommodation. We have been twice with ten family members plus 2 dogs and the space is ample with three ensuites, 1 family bathroom and 6 generous bedrooms. The swimming pool is used extensively. The location is attractive, high above West ward Ho! with good views of the sea. It is a short drive to the centre of town and the free beach car park where we always find a space.
James
Nice house with well proportioned rooms. Surprisingly bright given its size.
Margaret
Lovely location - although even nicer view if neighbours trees pruned. House spotlessly clean and great welcome pack. . Swimming pool enjoyed by all and a real plus point. Few issues that we had to wait to get resolved. Overall we had a great time there.
Kate
Beautiful home, we had a fabulous time! The pool area really makes a difference and the kids loved it. Wonderful holiday had by all.
Linda
Our 4th stay at Stafford House, beautiful home with plenty of room for everyone, and great swimming pool area.. We will be going back again!
Chris
This house was amazing, it exceeded our expectaions in every way. This was the first opportunity in a few years where we could have all our children and grandchildren on holiday together, and this house was a perfect size for the 10 of us. Although the house is only a few minutes from the beach and quaint seafront, the facilities in the house were hard to drag ourselves away from. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were a perfect addition to the house and equally any hotel standard. Highly recommended
Hilary
Everything about the house was brilliant. The pool was amazing and was a star feature, being used several times a day by everyone. The views from the balcony were stunning, especially the sunsets.
Jane
Wow! This property has plenty of space for all of the the family. We made use of the swimming pool jacuzzi and sauna everyday . The whole property was immaculate. The enclosed garden with its sea views is great and there is a good barbecue there too! You can walk to the sea front but you will need stamina to walk back up! There is a dog friendly be ach further down and the village of Appledore is just a 10 minute drive away. We really did have the best family holiday!
Karen
Absolutely stunning house for a family holiday. The bedroom and en-suite downstairs were perfect for my disabled mum. The pool facilities kept our 3 year-old granddaughter entertained for hours, and the sauna is a real bonus. The views are stunning, and there are great pubs and restaurants nearby. The gardens were very secure for dogs, and the hous e is warm and cozy - even though, luckily, the weather was really warm some days. We would strongly recommend this house! Fantastic holiday!
Andrew
Lovely accommodation & situation. Walking back up from the town to the house might be a problem for the elderly. Lots of lovely walks in the area. We all loved the swimming pool & jacuzzi. Being completely enclosed was a bonus as we had dogs with us. There are 2 fridge/freezers which really helps with a possible 12 people. We all had a fab time, hi ghly recommend.
