This quaint log-cabin-style hut has got to be the ultimate couple’s coastal bolthole – that is if you like relaxing by the sea! Sit and absorb the unobstructed sea views from the hot tub on the deck, day or night. If the weather isn’t playing ball, you can even see the water from the sofa and the bed inside, such is the clever design. So, bring your other half and your best canine chums for the holiday of a lifetime in this elevated, cliff-top position on the outskirts of Freathy, in the often-overlooked area near the Rame Head Heritage Coast. Get out walking, take a dip or just stay put and recharge your batteries… The glass front of this beach hut gives it a spacious and luxurious feel. Rustic wood and decking outside give way to wood panelling and stylish bright interiors. The living area is open-plan, with a small but well-equipped kitchen area at the back of the room. To the front, the lounge area offers comfortable seating in front of the bi-folding doors, that open to make you feel like you’re outside. There’s even a bistro dining table indoors, too. Step down slightly into the cosy double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Outside, the fantastic decked area offers sun loungers, a BBQ and outdoor furniture – as well as that all-important hot tub. You can access the 3 miles of sandy beach along Whitsand Bay via the cliff path from this property, so walkies with your dogs pose no problem. Stop to check out the rock pools along the way or watch the surfers. But, if you want to blow the cobwebs away, join the South West Coast Path which passes through.

Enjoying a premium location on Whitsand Bay, this luxurious property is the coastal escape of your dreams. Nestled into the cliff, this romantic retreat boasts spectacular sea views and offers plenty of bohemian charm. Enjoy chilled days frolicking on the golden sands, ambling along the dramatic coast path and exploring picturesque seaside towns. Then grab a glass of something chilled and snuggle on the outdoor daybed watching the sunset, before bubbling in the hot tub beneath the stars. Originating in the 1950s, this delightful abode was rebuilt during the 1980s, before being redesigned and refurbished in 2017 to stunning effect. Thoughtfully arranged with exquisite attention to detail, the interiors blend reclaimed treasures with beachside chic and lots of homely touches. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a definite wow factor. Bi-fold doors run the width of the room, opening to the terrace. Sink into the couch and gaze out to sea (there is a TV should you bore of the view!). Rustle up dinner for two in the corner kitchen and enjoy a romantic meal on the dining table or the picnic table on the patio. There is no need to forfeit that view when it’s time for bed either. Simply head next door and snuggle under the covers of your king-size bed, then watch the sunrise from bed through the patio doors. A small bunk room next door can accommodate young children, and a shower room completes this luxurious retreat. For salty beach days, a cliff path leads down to the golden sands, or you can strike out with your pooch and walk some of the South West Coast Path in either direction. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area including the picturesque fishing harbour of Looe (13.5 miles) with its sandy beach and fresh fish restaurants. Boats run daily to Looe Island, a former holy pilgrimage site, now famous for its nature and wildlife.

A beautiful, quiet, peaceful retreat. Rolling green fields, cosy and comfortable living space. Short drive to lovely sandy beaches with rock pools and cafes. Lots to keep you busy if you can escape the call of the hot tub! Amazing skies, lots of birds, enclosed garden for your dog. A perfect little break x

A very special place to stay. Stunning scenery, tranquil and a beautiful property which was immaculately clean. The hot tub was great to relax in after a busy day. I loved it!
Darren
We had a wonderful relaxing time weather wasn't great. The lodge itself is comfortable however the shower is small, and I did struggle at times we using it, due to my height. Lodge comes with a great hot tube and the horses will cover over for a nosey. Would visit again.
CARL
First impression cabin is small and cramped, no hanging space for clothes, just drawers under the bed,, bathroom is tiny which made it awkward getting in and out of shower, however we grew to love the place, the views are wonderful, but what is superb is the peace and quiet, the two horses always came over to say hello, didn't really make use of thRead moree veranda and hot tub as it was so cold and windy during our stay. Jeff

Cabin, spotless, fully equipped and comfortable. Hot tub sooo relaxing with lovely views. I couldn't do any star gazing due to the weather, apart from one evening. In spite of appalling weather was a lovely relaxing break.
Helen
Overall, we had an enjoyable, relaxing break with beautiful views.
Kathy
Lovely, tranquil location. Cabin is cosy and comfortable. Hot tub is the perfect temperature and was a real treat. The covered veranda was very welcome as the weather wasn't great but I was still able to use the George Foreman grill without getting wet!!
James

Lovely little place. It was perfect. The hot tub was heated to perfection, the views were so pretty. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed how isolated and quiet it was. Would definitely come back and visit again!
Mike
Great cottage and wonderfull location. Very clean and up to date throughout. All equipment is top quality and the bed was so comfortable. Lovely welcome pack (lots of quality goodies) Quite tight bathroom but to be expeccted in a small lodge. A real Christmas treat for us both. Very cosy and warm.
Sarah
We had a wonderful stay at Stargazy Cabin for my fellas birthday. Anita & Glynn were extremely welcoming and so lovely. For us the hot tub felt more luke warm at the set temp of 35 degrees, so I asked if this could be turned up and Glynn was straight over to put it up to 40 degrees which was a great end to a BH weekend. Absolutely stunning scenery and so peaceful and tranquil when looking up at the stars from the hot tub with a glass of bubbly. 100% recommend to get away from hustle/bustle
Martin
Amazing week in Star Gazy, weather mixed but the views and hot tub made up for that. Very relaxing and comfortable, with everything we needed..
Julie
We had the most relaxing time. It was better than we could ever have imagined. The cabin had everything we needed and so much more and the view was stunning. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the view was exactly what we needed. Glyn and Anita were lovely people and we instantly knew nothing was too much trouble for them. Definitely want to g o back soon. Xx

Absolutely stunning. Cabin well kitted out. Very cozy and just what you need for a relaxing stay. Amazing views and perfect quiet location ....... easy reach of fabulous walks along the coastal pat. Hot tub is an extra luxury that we enjoyed most days. Would recommend.
Anna
Second stay in this lovely property. It's a super venue. Peaceful, restful and if the weather is mixed a very snug place with the log burner going - a great base to explore Cornwall and a restorative place to return to for a dip in the tub looking at that view
Kara
Beautiful place to stay. The location is amazing and the hot tub is a lovely addition.
Anriette
Beautiful, romantic and cosy accommodation. Well equipped with those extra comforts like jet shower, hot tub and exceptionally comfy mattress. We loved every moment and would like to thank the owners for their care and thoughtfulness.
Dean
Beautiful, peaceful cabin. Owners could not do enough to make our stay perfect.
Deborah
Stayed at Stargazy for 2 nights, it was fun, quirky, romantic and tranquil. For such a small cabin it had it all. Views were fantastic even though the weather was not in our favour, although the cloud cleared during the evening for the most spectacular night sky. It's no wonder it is called Stargazy!!! Hosts were great and offered local destination s to visit, provided the most wonderful traditional Cornish welcome pack and nothing was too much trouble. A return is guaranteed.
Clare
Absolutely gorgeous cabin in a beautiful location! Would 100% recommend staying here!
Thomas
Absolutely amazing accommodation, location and facilities. Views are spectacular and the quietness is only broken by the birds. Everything you could need is provided for including things you didn't know you needed and the decor is well thought out with something new being spotted each time you look at it. Had a great time just relaxing and unwindin g
David
Really lovely cabin stay, cosy, great hottub, beautiful location and easy to get to. Close to some lovely walks, although most require a short drive to get to a longer stroll. Would certainly recommend! One small note, the shower was tight for me (i'm 185cm and 90kg), so just be aware!
Catherine
Honestly such a a wonderful, relaxing, romantic weekend. Beautiful views, stunning cabin everything and more I could have wished for! The hot tube and log fire was perfect, just everything was amazing and I can't wait to come back.
Anna
A three night stay here, with just my dog, this was a fantastic find. I had my privacy and solitude, but felt utterly safe knowing there were people around. The views soothe the soul, the horses and their playful antics are a delight. A secure garden for my dog was a godsend, and the hot tub a daily treat after walking. Inside, everything I needed and such a comfortable bed. Sadly wasn't chilly enough to warrant lighting the wood burner - maybe next time.
Neil
Spent a lovely week at Stargazy cottage. It's in the loveliest location in the Cornish countryside and with the horses in the field next to the cottage my partner was in her element. The accommodation is compact but has all we needed, and the outdoor hot tub is to die for with them stunning views.
Jill
Fantastic cabin and location, amazing views. Lovely finishing touches with the owner Glynn, very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the local area. We had a super stay and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. After a busy day sightseeing a soak in the hot tub, with a vino watching the sun go down was perfect! A wonderful garden for our pooch, who also recieved a welcome gift of biscuits! Glynn's 3 horses would also stop by to say hello! We will definitely visit again!
Emma
The Cabin was so lovely and had everything you would ever need!!!
Jacqueline
A lovely relaxing cabin the bed was so comfy.... Beautiful views to be enjoyed from the veranda and also the hot tub..... The only small thing is the bathroom is a tad small......bit of a squeeze, but didn't take anything away from the enjoyment of our stay......I would recommend the Stargazy cabin to anyone who wants the most peaceful time in beau tiful surroundings....
Alastair
Lovely location and close to Plymouth and Liskeard. A visit to the Seaton beach restaurant is a must.
Paul
A beautiful location, quiet and peaceful. Plenty of walking opportunities, lovely coastline and small coastal towns nearby. The cabin is well equipped for your stay , bed very comfortable and a fairly spacious lounge area. The hot tub is not to be missed, especially with the view across the valley. On your arrival there is a lovely welcoming treat of a cream tea to have whilst enjoying the view. We enjoyed every minute of our second stay there.
Jo
Amazing stay. Such a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful place to stop. Would 100% recommend for a romantic get away. Or just a peaceful few days away to relax and unwind. Has everything you need. Hot tub is an amazing feature. The horses outside was lovely to see on the mornings. Couldnt fault a thing.
Bethany
We enjoyed a fantastically relaxing break at the cabin. The location is amazing with countryside views for miles and a real sense of getting away from it all. The cabin is designed to make sure you relax in comfort and the hot tub is a real bonus. We will definitely be rebooking to stay again!
Marion
A fantastic cabin in a stunning location. EVERYTHING was perfect and just what we needed. We'll be re-booking for the same week next year.
Andy
Lovely cabin with great facilities. The hot tub and shower are really nice. Kitchen is well equiped. We stayed in early March, so weather quite cold, but the wood-burner and other heaters kept us very warm and comfortable. Wifi is great. TV is great. Lovely to have the horses in the field next to the cabin. Fantasic location for coastal walks on th e south coast. And good pubs nearby.
