This property enjoys a lovely village location in Curry Rivel, which is located some six miles east of the county town of Taunton. The village itself is home to a welcoming village pub, which not only offers in house dining, but also a range of takeaway pizzas. There is also a handy shop and tearoom in the village, whilst a wider range of high street shops can be found in nearby Taunton. The area is home to a wide range of attractions to suit all tastes, including the Quantock Hills, the historic town of Glastonbury with its awe inspiring ruined Abbey, and the town of Street with its shopping village. This property is located within the grounds of the owner s home, but guests are assured their privacy, and can enjoy a wonderfully relaxing retreat.

About Woods Hideaway

This property enjoys a lovely village location in Curry Rivel, which is located some six miles east of the county town of Taunton. The village itself is home to a welcoming village pub, which not only offers in house dining, but also a range of takeaway pizzas.

There is also a handy shop and tearoom in the village, whilst a wider range of high street shops can be found in nearby Taunton. The area is home to a wide range of attractions to suit all tastes, including the Quantock Hills, the historic town of Glastonbury with its awe inspiring ruined Abbey, and the town of Street with its shopping village.

This property is located within the grounds of the owner s home, but guests are assured their privacy, and can enjoy a wonderfully relaxing retreat. On the ground floor, the heart of the property is the light filled lounge which has large patio doors leading out to the front of the property.

The contemporary furniture here as clearly been carefully chosen, and there is a TV/DVD, and a wood burner which keeps the room lovely and warm in all weathers. Just across from the lounge, guests will find the spacious kitchen/diner with a glass dining table, a comfortable sofa, and a good range of kitchen equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine.

Stairs lead to the first floor accommodation where the super king size bedroom can be found (can be made up as a twin on request). This restful room also benefits from its own TV and a stylish en suite shower room with a shower and WC.

Outside, there is a private patio area to the front of the property where guests will find a table and chairs, as well the hot tub, which is particularly inviting at night, when guests can enjoy the warm bubbling water under the star filled skies.

Genuinely cannot think of anything that could improve this place. Plenty of privacy, lovely modern place, cosy but spacious and furnished well. Hot tub was a lovely way to unwind too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Its a lovely cosy, warm and welcoming cottage. The hot tub is a fantastic bonus and lovely to relax in at the end of the day. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be back for a third time.

We had a great time at Woods Hideaway, the area was peacefull and surrounded by good walking routes. We also found it gave us easy access to Glastonbury, Cheddar, and Wells which were all within 30 miles

The cottage was lovely great for a base to go around the area.....had everything we need for the week we was there.....great walks with the dogs......not far to go for a shop would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to stay again

We really enjoyed this property clean spacious and a great hot tub. Simon and Celia great owners of this property, very helpful and accommodating. In fact we are returning very soon. Shouldnt highly recommend as this might affect us getting the weeks we want

Beautifully laid out and furnished. Very clean and well presented. Bed very comfortable and huge! Good hot shower. Very cosy with the woodburner. Had a very peaceful stay with lots of lovely walks from the village. The Firehouse pub was fantastic. Loved the hot tub although I found the cover difficult to move. Enjoyed having a log burner in the evening but no fireplace utensils set. A few little improvements could be made around the property. We enjoyed our stay and had some lovely weather

The village has a nice gastro pub called the Firehouse and a small shop around a 10 minute walk away. 5 minute drive away in Langport there is a Tesco and a lovely dog walk along the river with a cafe at the end. A very comfortable cottage, with a fabulous bed. We were able to login to Netflix and Prime on the downstairs tv. Great to have a hot tub to relax in after a day out walking. A good base to visit the countryside, the coast and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Will recommend to friends.

Brilliant hideaway cottage, just what the doctor ordered! Hot tub and log burner an added bonus, 5 min walk to a fantastic pub/restaurant and local shop, beutiful walks and countryside, perfect for any couple looking for a quiet break... oh yeah and the dogs loved it too!

Had a wonderful holiday the cottage was well equipped and clean, the owners were really nice and helpful, our little dogs loved the garden and got on well with the owners dogs, plenty of walks from the cottage also a garage and a One Stop shop in the village if you needed anything, there is a pub also but we never went in for a drink

The grown ups will love to wander around the beautiful gardens taking in the stunning floral displays while the children will enjoy the garden games, nature trails and open space to run around. The fantastic setting could hardly be better far activities such as Abseiling, Archery, Climbing, Caverning and Canoeing. The site also has a fantastic assault course. Family friendly activities include Raft Building and Nature Walks and environmental bush craft sessions.
Court Farm Country Park - BS27 3QW

The award wining Court Farm Country Park is the ideal all weather attraction with over 25000sq ft of playgrounds and attractions which are all undercover. Come rain or shine this place is perfect for families and children can really let of steam while adults have some time to relax. The site has several large and safe areas for fun and games, a stunning Adventure Castle with slides and ball pools and a range of small fairground rides. There are also educational shows to see including Milking Show and the twice daily Bottle Feeding Show.
Seaquarium - LL30 1BL

The very unique Seaquarium in Western Super Mare is a fantastic site based on a beach surrounded by 3 miles of sand offering an educational and fun experience for the whole family. The site is packed with marine life from all over the world and has an amazing Underwater tunnel where visitors can view Sharks and Sting Rays There are also several open top displays  allowing closer inspection of the elegant Rays as well as other creatures. Special events take place throughout the year in high season including talks and crafting sessions.
Dorset Teddy Bear Museum - DT1 1JU

This family orientated museum is dedicated to Teddy Bears both old and new Edward Bear and his family of people sized bears are one of the main attractions.  You can buy teddy bear gifts from the quaint shop including top notch brands.  The Steiff Teddy Bear and Merrythought bears are very popular.  Open 7 days a week all year round (except 25th and 26th December) this is a perfect all weather place to visit.
Longleat Safari and Adventure Park - BA12 7NW
about 28 Miles
You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme.  This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island.  And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.  This really is an animal experience with a difference and you can save money by booking your tickets online.  This attraction is open until the end of October. Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park - DT2 8PY

Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park is a magical place to visit with grand gardens and plenty of animals to meet.  From goats and ponies to alpacas and pot bellied pigs this attraction is excellent value for money.  You can feel free to explore the grounds too which are especially lovely on sunny days.  You will see majestic floral displays, stone terraces, a temple and even a lake.
