Monarfon Reviews

I booked Monarfon for a reunion for myself, 4 schools friends and 1 baby. We wanted to be near the sea, but mostly we wanted a nice, big, warm house to catch up in. We ended up having the most fabulous weekend! The living spaces are stylish and relaxing, the bedrooms are spacious & comfortable, and the hot tub is heaven! The kitchen has every pan and utensil you could possibly need and we enjoyed many communal meals there. Sue, the owner, was so kind and accommodating and did everything in her power to make sure we had a great time which we did! I am planning on returning with my family and can heartily recommend
We had a lovely stay. The property was spacious and fulfilled all our needs. The kitchen had everything you could need, the beds where comfy and the playroom was a gods send for our granddaughter.
A lovely property in which to share fun times and memories with the family and in a great location for exploring Anglesey. Lots of space and beautifully furnished. Great kitchen and dining area. Everything you might need is available. Highly recommend.
Kathryn
Lovely place to stay for our family gathering. Lots of space. Great response to a couple of queries. Only comment would be the fridge was a little small for the size of property we were only 8 not a full house and it was very full. Excellent stay in a lovely area. Thankyou
The property is generally in good order with all services, showers and toilets in good order some general maintenance is required as expected in what I believe is a popular rental property. From one FM to another keep up the good work. On arrival we found two of the quilt covers gave off an odour possibly due to a lack of airing or not the best storage prior to use. I suggest any damaged items such as the two external basket type squares be disposed of. Your clients shaft driven pump should be stored out of view and the old railway bench repaired or again stored out of view. My other observation was the step down into the side washing line area, the step down being directly onto a cast iron manhole cover These covers can dramatically fail and I suggest a small step be constructed or a 3x2 flag be placed over the cover to address the possible H&S issue. My family and I had a very enjoyable week in an imposing well appointed property. Many thanks.
Beautiful house everything a family needs and great location to explore Anglesey
Virginia
We loved our stay at Monarfon. Beautiful stylish decor. Fab hot tub. Lovely bed linen and comfy beds. Friendly checkin and very understanding owners regarding some damage my dog did
Lovely property which suited a family of 6 adults, 3 children and dogs. Hot Tub was used a few times even though the weather was not the best but fun was had by all. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and the grandchildren loved the playroom. Property was in a central location for the places we explored.
Beautiful property with excellent facilities. Loved the little details, treats for the dogs and squirrel food.
The house was lovely and beautifully decorated. All the comforts of home. We were a multi generational family and it suited all our family needs. The location was great. In easy reach of beaches and attractions.
Lauren
A lovely house with incredible design. Very big and we really enjoyed the amount of energy suites. We couldn't use the hot tub for the first night as it wasn't heated in time so this could be an issue if you've booked with this in mind.
Matthew
A very enjoyable relaxing stay considering , we took 4 families with young children! The playroom was a hit with the kids providing a variety of different toys, plenty of space that we werent over crowded everyone enjoyed their stay!
Absolutely amazing property. I would definitely recommend this property. The host is fantastic. Thank you so much. Steve
Kathryn
Beautiful house with all the facilities you could need. Everything had been thought of and we all had a great time as a family from ages 7 to 70!
My minor quibbles would be there was no dressing table in our blue bedroom to put things so we borrowed the table from the landing and could also have done something in the bathroom as there was little room for toothbrushes etc. and no where to hang towels, this also applied to another bathroom and also downstairs bedroom could have done with a chest of drawers.
We have had a lovely stay in a nice house. We had 4 generations and a dog and there was plenty or room, plenty of toys for the children and a lovely outdoor space.
Patricia
We all had a lovely time, the house is beautiful plenty of room. Downstairs bedroom was ideal for my husband with limited mobility. The grandchildren enjoyed the playroom plenty of things for them to do. The dog enjoyed herself especially down on the rocks by the sea.
The house is lovely, the kitchen is fully stocked for home cooking and the decor and furniture all comfortable and gorgeous. There wasnt anything we needed extra than what was there. A definite gem of a property.
Sian Hauw
Beautiful house with more than plenty pet & child friendly settings. Throughout nicely decorated with all facilities available incl Netflix, Amazon Prime etc. Property is very clean and garden nicely maintained. We had a great family break!
Ashley
Came here for a family 60th. House was stunning, great location, the garden is a great sun trap and large enough for kids to run around. Had a brilliant time and would definitely recommend the property.
Antoinette
This property is not accessible for someone with limited mobility at all! !!!! The downstairs bedroom and ensuite bathroom is very small in comparison to the large roomy upstairs bedrooms.
This was such a beautiful house! ! We all had a great time here. All of the rooms were so lovely, comfy and relaxing. We felt very welcome. The kitchen is fantastic for large groups, we sat round the large table for hours playing games and catching up. All the kitchen facilities were spot on with everything provided you would ever need. Bedrooms again, lovely and spacious. I know my bed was very comfy! The house definitely made our holiday! The only constructive feedback I would give, the hot tub we couldnt use till the second day as it still wasnt warm enough. It didnt ruin our time but it would have been nice to have this useable on the first night. Thank you for providing such a lovely stay!
Judith
The property was exactly as advertised. Very roomy accommodation with excellent quality of towels, bedding etc. There was a problem with the fridge which we reported. The hot tub was fabulous and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The owner of the property was extremely helpful as my family organised various events for my 70th! I have no problem in recommending this property to others!
Beautiful, well equipped, comfortable home and a lovely garden with plenty of different seating areas and perfect for kids and dog. We had 4 generations staying and had everything we could possibly need. Only have one small suggestion, which is, the upstairs front bedroom would benefit from a mirror for hair drying mainly as the bathroom mirror is not usable for this purpose.
Valerie
A very clean and comfortable house for our family of 8 adults , teenager and 11 year old, plus Poppy the dog. Thank you. Monarfon is a home from home with beautiful and interesting decor and furnishings. The 1930s style house has been tastefully modernised, keeping some of the historic features. The central heating was warm and cosy. There was plenty of hot water for bathing and showers. We enjoyed use of the hot tub, even in the chilly April weather. The owner and local representative were very helpful for our queries. We would definitely recommend staying here and would hopefully return ourselves.
Lovely house, spotlessly clean, with everything you need the owner communication was great. Central place to explore the island Would certainly book again.
Absolutely beautiful family friendly home from home! The owner was so helpful! The thoughtful touches were everywhere in the house, and everyone had been thought of, from the adults and children, to the doggies as well! The weather wasnt the best but that didnt spoil our weekend at all, as the house was so cosy, and we played the games that were provided. We especially loved all the eco friendly thoughts, the beautiful hand wash etc, toiletries and cleaning products! Its worth a trip to bull bay and the beautiful Trecastell Hotel over looking the bay! Food was beautiful, lovely staff and the views were amazing! Wed just missed seeing the dolphins unfortunately. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Great house for a family get together. Well thought out in every detail. Monafon feels like a home, not just a rental.
Kirstie
Amazing house for family staycation. Super location and incredibly interior. Thank you to the amazing hosts for making us feel so welcome.
A beautiful, spacious house in a great location with easy access to the beaches and sites of Anglesey and Snowdonia. Plenty of room for quiet moments or shared family time, especially in the kitchen diner which is a real focal point. Great communication with the agent and the owner from start to finish, adding to a great rental experience.
This beautiful home is very well located to explore Anglesey. It is clean and well maintained. Lots of small luxury touches make this one of the best properties I have stayed in. We took our dog, who loved his new ball and our three adult children and partners joined us there. plenty of space for us all, Added bonus the hot tub was used some evenings. I would love to go back here and would highly recommend this beautiful home for your stay. Thoughtful and caring owners Many thanks for making our holiday memorable
Richard
Great House, loads of room would definitely recommend to large families.
This is a superb property, comfortable and plenty of space for a family holiday. Fabulous decor throughout, this house has been carefully and thoughtfully put together with provision for even the youngest members of the family. Added bonus was an enclosed safe garden for children and dogs and also a wonderful hot tub! Would highly recommend this property.
Deborah
Really enjoyed our holiday at Monarfen. Lovely house, Chioma was most helpful, plenty to do and see around the area. Will definitely return.
Fabulous holiday home with some gorgeous special touches. Very comfortable, offering a home from home experience. The Garden and hot tub are a great feature to this property, which is very private and not overlooked at all. Great for adults and children to spend hours in. There isnt a bbq but we ended up buying one, so no big deal. We found some gorgeous local beaches as mentioned in the information provided by the owner. The host was on hand for any issues and communicated brilliantly. A great area to visit, you wont be disappointed and I would 100 recommend this property.
