Porth House Reviews

Claire
We had a fantastic holiday staying in Porth house. The location was excellent and property was lovely and clean. We arrived after dark, quite late on the Friday evening and the owners made it really easy for us to access the property, even down to leaving the lights on for us so we didnt have to struggle in the dark! The sauna and the jacuzzi were also a lovely way to relax and a definite bonus of the property. Thanks again well definitely look at staying agin in the future!
Cheryl
It was amazing thank you A big thank you to Sandra and her team. She was amazing and helped with places to go and see, all local walks. Sent special wishes and flowers for my mom & dads wedding day. Thank you for making this time so special. Cheryl Robbins
Porth house is simply wonderful, the location is perfect, and it has everything you could need, including an EV charger. The beds were super comfy, and the spa and sauna were a very welcome extra treat. Theres plenty of places to eat out locally, and lots to do, we stayed for 2 weeks and hope to return soon. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely owners, the welcome pack was extra special with a homemade cake! They was available for any questions before and during our stay, we would highly recommend
Very comfortable in this well equipped property in an ideal location.
Love going to Porth House with the family. Such a lovely home and the position is so perfect. Sandra and Steve make you so welcome and we look forward to our return, we always feel sad to leave .
Porth House provided ample space for our party of five and the location could not be faulted. We felt no need to visit other parts of the island on this trip to Anglesey as we had all the beach and scenery we needed all in one place and the amenities Porth House provided were superb. The location of the house was perfect being across the road from clean, sandy beaches which are ideal and safe for all ages plus, the weather was fine and hot during our stay. The owners Steve and Sandra were on hand to make suggestions that proved very helpful but not in the least intrusive. They are a great couple and very friendly. 100 recommendation for those wishing to enjoy the best Anglesey holiday ever.
Jonathan
Steve and Sandra were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Great location overlooking the beachsea along with all you need in the house for a comfortable stay. Overall we couldnt fault Porth House and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a holiday on Anglesey.
Great house with lovely views, perfect place for a family holiday of all ages.

We had a fantastic stay at Porth House! Perfect location, house and host. Couldnt have been better. Thanks so much Sandra for making Ivys birthday weekend so special. We will be back.
Lesley
Amazing house, my parents had a really lovely week here, would love to visit again very soon
Our second stay at Porth House this year, a superb property with everything you want when self catering and the position with such a superb view is outstanding. Cant wait to return. Thanks to Steve and Sandra
The property is perfect for us, very comfy, light, airy and plenty of room. The house was spotless and had everything you would need. The information booklet were a great help. Also need to say the location is amazing! Thank you so much for helping us have an amazing holiday x The only thing I would say is, we could have done with more mats for the tables as we had to keep moving them from one table to another and maybe a small table for the balcony.
Just spent a week at Porth House, what a super property and the position overlooking the bay is superb. My husband and I were able to swim every day with good weather. Having the spa was an added bonus enjoyed by us all. It was our first visit to Porth House but will not be the last. Many Thanks to Sandra and Steve.
Denise
Very enjoyable new year stay, house is very comfortable and warm. It is well equipped so we enjoyed making roast dinner for New Years Eve and then watching fireworks on the balcony. Wonderful support from hosts, Sandra and Steve. Cant wait until we return again in the summer.
Joanna
Porth House is a fab property in a beautiful location. It is very clean, spacious and functional for a family or group stay. The owners called to make sure all was ok and we arrived to milk in the fridge, biscuits, chocolate and wine and a wonderful Christmas pudding! The spa facilities are a real bonus. The bed in the master was so comfy! The kitchen has all you need but there are great places to eat out. Highly recommend The Sea Shanty Cafe! The only slight negatives for us were the sofas in the lounge have had their day and have lost their comfort, and a much bigger TV is needed as the lounge is quite large. Overall a fab holiday, thank you!
Yvonne
As usual Sandra & Steve were great hosts. We were able to reach them when required. Views from the living room never disappoint. Great homely house to catch up with friends & chill.
Sandra and Steve are the perfect hosts and their home is absolutely spectacular. The facilities are second to none and the cleanliness is superb, even with welcome gifts which are hugely appreciated. Cannot recommend Porth House highly enough.
This is our third trip to Porth House and once again we are looking at dates to return! One of our most favourite spots on the island. Porth House has everything you can possibly need and the owner's attention to detail is second to none. We cannot recommend it highly enough but please leave us a week to return!
Tracey
Porth House surpassed expectations beautiful location by the beach and a short stroll round to Treardurr Bay internally attention to detail was superb in every area. The owner Sandra gave us a very warm welcome explaining how everything worked and clearly takes great pride in her lovely holiday home. very COVID safe with every additional precaution taken to protect guests. We will definitely return next year and very highly recommend ! As an upside down house with quite a few stairs this would not be suitable for someone with mobility issues.
Elizabeth
Fantastic house is a beautiful location directly opposite a lovely beach. This is our third visit to this property and it always lives up to our expectations.
Caroline
Fantastic week lovely house, immaculately clean and fantastic location.
2nd holiday at Porth House. Beautiful position across from beach. All facilities met. Lots of little extra touches to make it homely. Cleanliness was superb. Confident staying during the COVID 19 Epidemic. Well done Sandra and Stephen.
Darryl
The Seacroft pub within easy walking distance and served nice beer and steaks. Not cheap but very nice and helpful staff. Inn at the Bay equally nice and friendly with very nice food. Plenty of places to sit along the seafront with ice cream vans parked nearby. Can be stormy so do not take risks in bad weather. Balcony at the house in great position but suggest bringing chairs in overnight if it may be windy. House owners very helpful and hospitable with welcome chocs and wine a thoughtful bonus. Loads of parking space. Would recommend this house and can see why it is so popular.
Jeremy
Incredible cleanliness and the owners had gone above and way beyond to create a safe holiday haven in these unprecedented times. Thank you!
What a wonderful holiday made all the better by the superb, friendly hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble, especially given the fact that legislation permitting or banning travel was up in the air at the time. Porth House is missing nothing in terms of amenity. Generous welcome gifts and calls to check all was in order and we could operate everything. As a TBSC veteran even I would say that the views are unsurpassable and the thought and efforts that have gone in to ensuring the the premises are COVID safe especially for those concerned about travelling or renting at the moment are incredible. Thank you both and I will be back as soon as I can!
The best accommodation i have stayed in, in the UK. Simply stunning place, equipped with everything you will need and more. The sauna and hot tub are great and easy to use. The sunsets are amazing from the balcony and the beach opposite is literally across the road. Some great eating nearby at a number of places. It really is an amesome place. The owner Sandra, met us on arrival and made us feel extremely welcome. If you can book it then do it ! Beds extremely comfortable, hot tub huge, sauna a big plus and the welcome pack of cake, milk and wine a lovely touch.
William
The owners, Linda and Steve were very helpful, meeting us and showing us around the property explaining how things worked and the Covid 19 Prevention measures both for us and subsequent Guests. WiFi was excellent, easy to set up and powerful. View from the balcony was terrific. Facilities were superb and comfortable. In short a really good, professional and friendly greeting at a wonderful house with a fabulous location. Worth every penny.
This house was fantastic for us we loved staying here. The views were spectacular, I could just sit and stare out for ages, with the view every day looking different. We loved the log fire in the middle of the room and used that every day. We also loved the basement spa, especially after a day walking. The house was very clean and made us feel very covid safe. Everything we needed was there. I'm just sad it's booked up and we can't come back in October!
This property is magnificent Beautifully positioned. Well equipped and cared for. Owners couldn't be more hospitable and accommodating .
Fantastic accomodation in great location, the hosts were brilliant and explained everything well and excellent precautions taken against covid. We couldnt have stayed in better accommodation I dont think. The sauna and jacuzzi were brilliant. The beach was just as close as it could be, lots of space for the family and everything we needed was in the accommodation they thought of everything. Pub that does food within a couple.of mins walk and simply fantastic scenery and walks right from rhe house.
Sheila
Super accommodation, spotlessly clean & very well equipped.
Jacqueline
Everything was great we had a brilliant holiday There was nothing not to like
The house was beutifull. Well maintained. Location was spot on. Will definitely visit again. Did not us hot tub on this occasion but sure that would be a fantastic added bonus. T
Wonderful week spent with Porth House as our base. We were greeted by the owner, Sandra, and received such a warm welcome as well as a quick tour around with Sandra highlighting some features to make our stay as smooth as possible. The welcome pack delicious cake, wine and chocolates was great and the fresh flowers throughout the house were a lovely touch. We had no cause to contact Sandra during our stay as everything worked as described and we didn't experience any hitches but we were invited to get in touch if she could be of any assistance to us. The house was immaculately clean and it is clearly well cared for. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is spacious, comfortable and boasts a great view over the sandy bay. All the bedrooms are really nicely set up, with the master and ensuite being really spacious. The utility room was a great help washer, dryer and sink plus airer etc and, as it's in the basement, there was no disruptive noise in the open plan living area on the first floor. The huge spa pool was a bit on the cool side for my liking but husband and children had a great time...and I was more than happy relaxing in the sauna anyway! The only thing I would have preferred is there to be access to the basement, and therefore the shower room, directly from outside the property, rather than needing to go into the main entrance on the ground floor then walk down the stairs. It would just have made things easier when juggling two small, sandy and wet children and allowed us to keep the bedrooms' floor entirely sand and wet clothes free. Not a big issue by any stretch, more of a nice to have. The nearest bay is literally over the road and the children loved playing there, watching the boats come and go and splashing in the water. I didn't have to bother packing up changes of clothes and searching out the nearest loo etc given the proximity of the house this was a welcome break from the usual paraphernalia carting that comes with young children. There are good amenities in the locality with a couple of pubs and restaurants a nice stroll away. We had a supermarket delivery come to the house so stocked up that way but there is a convenience store nearby too. Terrific property and it's clear why people opt to stay there time and again many thanks Sandra we're already looking forward to staying at Porth House again!
Porth House is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Angelsey. We have stayed there twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed both holidays. It is so relaxing and well equipped, the new mattresses are a dream. Sandra makes you feel so welcome and with the addition of a lovely bottle of wine and a delicious cake its even better. Would highly recommend Porth House. Cant wait to go back.
Porth House is the perfect holiday home. Overlooking what felt like our private bay and with touches that made us feel in the lap of luxury, like the sauna, chocolates and delicious red wine on arrival. We would highly recommend staying here.
This house is outstanding and the host left all the home comforts including wine and chocolates. The view was amazing and the house was spotless, the jacuzzi was great and the sauna was a added bonus. For a family getaway this is ideal and within walking distance of great pubs and restuarants, but at the weekend in the evening book at least 1 week in advance especially the black seal amazing enjoy !!!
A fabulous house in the perfect location, extremely helpful owner, and one of my favourite holiday homes!
