We absolutely loved this place it was so clean, quiet, picturesque and Linda an Tony were so lovely and very welcoming they even baked us a cake, the views from the hot tub were amazing, I can't recommend this accommodation enough it's beautiful, Newquay and Aberystwyth are not far also a beautiful forest walk Linda told us about, we didn't want to leave, we will def return. Thank you Linda and Tony for your very warm welcome. Michelle, Ben,livi, remi, an doggies Simba an nala x
Absolute fabulous property in our top three of all time holiday accommodation. Everything you could possibly need was at the Old School. Lynda and Tony were most welcoming and gave us plenty of information where we could walk our dog. Would recommend this property to anybody.
Joanna

Tracey
Fantastic cottage in a lovely location. Would recommend.

Prefect location for relaxing and switching off from busy lives, this is the second time we have visited The Old School, its the same high standard and still well equipped with everything you will need, towels for the hot tub, the homemade cake ect a home away from home.
We have been to many cottages with sykes , this one was outstanding! Owners were lovely, there if you needed them and very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was immaculate , beds very comfortable with quality white bedding , even down to shampoo , shower gel etc supplied was branded products. The water in the hot tub was so clear and they are passionate about the chemicals being spot on . Some great history too about The Old School that we loved . We would definitely recommend this accommodation as you will not be disappointed.
Andrew
A fantastic, clean, and beautiful building with a stunning view to relax and eat dinner in the pretty garden that overlooks miles of the countryside to both the left and right. The hot tub was brucie bonus aswell! The hosts Lynda and Tony were extremely friendly and provided excellent details of what would be provided and travel details of how to get there. The homecooked cake and fresh eggs on arrival was a lovely gesture. There is lots to explore near the Old School, depending on how far you want to drive. We particularly enjoyed the coastal walk from Cwmtydu to New Quay 8 miles there and back. While in New Quay we took the boat trip to go and look at dolphins and other wild life. The trip up and around Craig Ddu waterfall overlooking Cwmy Rhaeadr Forest was a favourite for our little Jack Russell Poppy! Our children got an adrenalin kick with a trip to Zip World Tower, which happens to be only a couple of miles from Penderyn Distillery which we naturally stopped at! We would certainly recommend this place to our friends and would love to visit again one day! Thanks Lynda and Tony!
He cottage was well fitted and equipped. The owner was very welcoming and we appreciated the cake, milk & eggs. Apart from the rain which obviously they are not able to do anything about rhe only problem is the creaking downstairs floor.
Patricia
Very clean and comfortable. Lovely views from the garden. Lynda was very helpful and the bara brith was delicious!

We booked this as a joint 40th birthday celebration. My wife and I both turned 40 whilst here and we wanted a special place that we would always remember. We booked the perfect place. The garden area is stunning and we had perfect sunny weather whilst we were there. The views are breathtaking and our doggie Duncan and newborn baby enjoyed their stay just as much as we did. The hot tub is so relaxing and the beds are so comfy. The owners were so lovely and made us feel at home. Nothing was tok much trouble for them. Thanks so much for our wonderful stay in your gorgeous property x

A beautiful converted part of a school, which makes a stunning holiday location, its also a good base to explore this part of mid Wales. Nothing is overlooked for the comfort and enjoyment of your stay. The hoist also provides a bottle of wine, local sourced eggs, and a home baked cake. And lots of advice of places to visit and probably the best fish & chips in Wales, which is just a couple of miles away. And if it does rain, there must be over 100 video's to chose.
Rachel
Beautiful place, owners were amazing a week that we never wanted to end. Could not fault it one bit. Everything was so clean and there was everything you needed there and more. We will be returning
Michael
Perfect 5 This was a fantastic accommodation that is well equipped with all you need. A great loction with short drives to towns and beaches, nice walks or just to relax and enjoy your stay. Especially the hot tub a great bonus. The owner is friendly and happy to help with any questions or anything you need.
Christine
The old school is a lovely quiet place to stay. Clean and very well presented. One of the best equipped kitchens I've stayed at. Lynda and Tony the owners where so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend the old school. Quiet and relaxing
The old school was just amazing. We booked for Christmas week to spend quality time as a family. The house is beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was everything we asked for and more. From communication with Lynda to the cleanliness. The location and the views are just brilliant. Everything is supplied in the house you need from alsorts of cooking utensils, pots and pans to a pint of milk on arrival for that first cuppa. It is definitely somewhere I will recommend to others and also return to myself.

We had a great few days at the Old School. It was refreshing to stay somewhere where the basics are provided, and by that I mean washing up liquid, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, tea & coffee. All too often these arent provided and you find yourself having to go buy them! The house was lovely and clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils you could need. There was shampoo, body wash and soap provided in the bathroom. There is a good selection of books and games which kept the kids amused on the wet afternoons. The hot tub is a lovely addition, with lovely views across the valley. You can sit in there and watch the Red Kite circling around. All in all a lovely place to stay with great hosts who are happy to help.
Michael
The property is amazing. The views are fantastic. The owners live next door and are really really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Thankyou lynda and tony.
Brilliant , best one we have stayed in, hosts lovely.
What a great holiday property, and what made it great was the little things ie a cake, milk and tea so we could make a brew when we got there, but also the dressing gowns supplied, washing detergent the list goes on. The three of us had the best time, your so central to other places to visit, Carmarthen, Aberaeron etc with Lampeter only 10mins away. There is plenty of parking space at the property and the very open plan living area in the property makes it cosy and yet loads of room to spread out into your own space. The outside area is very well maintained with a fantastic jacuzzi and garden swing nice touch and an alfresco dining area. The views are fantastic. As for our hosts Lynda and Tony we had a very warm Welsh welcome when we arrived, had the tour and any questions, she was just at the end of a phone. Should you be thinking about booking this property......don't just do it!!!! You will not regret it. It's the kind of property that you can use as a base to do other things or just to chill and let the world go by! Jason

Great Retreat The Old School was one of the best properties we have stayed in, the facilities provided was fantastic with everything you will need. The little touches with homemade cake delicious, milk, flowers and towels for the hot tub was a nice surprise. Hot tub was a great treat and watching the world go by and the sunset was amazing plus plenty of outdoor seating including a hammock. Lovely quite location with overlooking fields with stunning views across the valley. The local town Lampeter was nice and we picked up some souvenirs. We took a couple of trips to the beach which is about a 45 minutes journey, but worth it as they were amazing. Owners were very welcoming, thank you Lynda and Tony for an amazing holiday... Definitely a cottage worthy of a return visit!!!
Andrew
This property is a converted schools house. The building is divided into two dwellings the front section being the holiday let and the read the owners occupy. Entry takes you in to a hall way with a bootutilities room and the bathroom on the left the right hand a doorway into the main living area. The space is well laid out with a 3 seater and 2 seater settee a 4 place dining take and a kitchen with hob oven fridge and dishwasher, This area is all open plan with a staircase leading to a large landing and two bedrooms. One bedroom has two single beds and the other a standard UK double. Outside the property there is ample parking by the front door to the left of the property is a decked area with a table and chairs this leads past the owner part of the property to the hot tub and a bench swing. The owners are welcoming and on hand if needed, but leave you in peace otherwise. The school house is around 15 mins drive from Lampeter along mainly single track roads.
Bernard
Cottage is superb, stunning views, everything feels fresh, very well equipped & up to date Hot tub is great, plus plenty of outdoor seating options, owners were very welcoming, Lynda & Tony provide all those essentials that make for a really relaxing start to your holiday. Bara brith cake was a really nice touch, very tasty. Falcondale hotel was a great local dog friendly place to eat, whilst the Hafod hotel at Devils Bridge was also a super place to eat, went back 3 times Definitely a cottage worthy of a return visit!
Owners were very helpful. We especially enjoyed using the hot tub!! We would book again one day. Everything in the property was excellent. Lynda had made very thoughtful editions like providing shampoo and shower gel in the the bathroom.
Thanesh
We had a fantastic stay at the old school house, the facilities provided was fantastic and the views from the garden were amazing. The hot tub was great fun. Lynda and Tony have created a wonderful holiday cottage that I would highly recommend.
Absolutely brilliant accomodation
This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in! Everything you could wish for in beautiful quiet surroundings. The views are incredible. The house has absolutely everything you could want. The hot tub is wonderful. The host couldn't be nicer. Would recommend to anyone who needs to get away from life's stresses... You have to drive at least 45 mins to get to the coast..but it's all in gorgeous surroundings.
A beautiful home, a beautiful view, supplied by beautiful people with beautiful bedding and a beautifully powerful hot tub. Area is glorious. The wildlife is soul warming. But pleasemind your head on the extractor fan above the cooker! Ouch We would DEFINITELY recommend this holiday let to anyone looking for some peace and quite. Everyone in the area was just lovely and pleasant and the owner Linda was a star. Always giving us the privacy we went for but always on hand instantly with any concerns or requests. Try not to steal a fork like we did somehow upon departure. Take your swim wear for the hot tub with stunning views of the hills and lambs but also take ya wellies for long walks just incase its a wet one. We enjoyed like so many others have, walking The Loop. Gorgeous. Just ask Linda for directions. Would 100 recommend this lovely little escape. If you have a doggy Id recommend taking a small doggy fence if you happen to have one to prevent your beloved pooch jumping over into the field next to garden like our little tike did. We would DEFINITELY return upon the chance to do so. TeamKenBexDobby.

Absolutely wonderful break! ! If it's escape from the stresses and strains of life you're after....you cannot wish for a more beautiful and relaxing place. The accommodation was spotless, smelled lovely always a good sign in my book! and had everything you could wish for. The hot tub was amazing and the views....just breath taking!! We visited several of the beaches which took about 45 mins to reach by car. Lynda is lovely and could not have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend!! We had a fantastic time.
We had a wonderful relaxing stay made our 40th birthday really special lovely ... We had a wonderful relaxing stay made our 40th birthday really special lovely touches fresh flowers chocolate tea cakes for the children and the home made bara birth was amazing The Hot Tub was fabulous and made the trip We had terrible weather and the owners ensured we was safe we didn't realise when booking that the owners lived on site that did concern us on arrival that we would have to make sure the kids were super quiet but lynda and Tony were a delight Thanks for a lovely stay
Philip
This is an excellent rental property well deserving of its review ratings. A quick scan of the website photo's convey its features and location. Its covered multi jet, 6 person hot tub with open vista over the river Teifi valley is the star attraction, but it has a lot more. Outside there is a private dining and seating area offering the same views. Inside the open lounge and kitchen has natural light streaming through the big arched windows. The kitchen is one of the best equipped of all the cottages we have stayed in. My wife and I struggled to think of a item of crockery, utensil, pan, cutlery, appliance, chopping board etc that was not supplied. It even had flickery led candles in the lounge to complement the Log burner style gas fire. The bedrooms were not huge but big enough and the mezzanine level had a vanity unit that according to my wife, must have been designed by a woman. The twin mirrors, seating position, lighting and hair drier location were all in the right place to do hair and make up. Another unassuming but excellent feature was the big utility room for walking boots, coats, drying area and general storage. Finally the property host Lynda was excellent. She contacted me shortly after booking and was there on arrival to welcome us to the home, give us some guidance and offer help should we have any queries. For anyone looking for a place to stay in mid Wales this is a great place. The guest comments book had entries from repeat guests and plenty of positive comments from first timers like me. Testament again to the level of experience that can be enjoyed here.
This was our second visit to this property and it was just as good, if not better, than we remembered. We visited over the Christmas week and the owners, Lynda and Tony, pulled out all the stops and decorated the old school house beautifully, left lovely Christmas gifts for us and even bought a few items of our food shop that we couldn't bring with us! Nothing was too much trouble for them. We'd like to thank them once again for their fantastic hospitality. The property itself was warm and comforting, a great place to spend the week, we didn't want to leave! The new shower room was great and the new hot tub too was great on a drizzly afternoonevening after walks with our dog. We would definitely recommend this property and we hope to be back again in the future.
Rachel
The place was absolutely gorgeous, the owners couldnt to enough we was welcomed with welsh cake and fresh eggs. Hot tub was well maintained daily and the place has everything very modern, Would highly recommend 5 star

We had a lovely stay at the Old School. Lynda and Tony were excellent hosts and the cottage was perfect. Would love to go back.
The cottage is amazing, the photos just cannot show how incredible the view is. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing in the evenings and the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay, with added touches which make all the difference. The hosts are lovely and so helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely house with us, we can't wait to visit again!

Lovely base and absolutely fabulous place to stay. Excellent facilities, very comfortable and the garden space is wonderful.
Amazing cottage, wonderful views across the valley and fabulous Jacuzzi Spa Definitely NOT your average Hot Tub! !!. Can't recommend this property enough. Our hosts Linda and Tony were wonderful. You're just 45 minutes from some amazing places, so make sure you visit Cardigan Bay, Aberaeron beach, New Quay, Devils Bridge & Harod Estate to name a few whlist you're there. Book this wonderful holiday home you won't be disappointed
