Rivendell Reviews

The owner did his best to think of everything. The cottage is as described in the brochure, and online. There is lots of kitchen equipment, the decor is really good. Rooms are comfy with lovely bathrobes, towels, and slippers, all ready for your comfort, and for the use of the hot tub. The owner makes sure everything is in order so all you have to do is relax and enjoy your holiday. Great access to Liverpool, and other sites. There's a cafe, and chip shop a driveway. You are a drive away from a retail park, which includes Tesco , M&S. You do need a car,and be mindful of parking spaces. It wasn't too much of a bother for us. We had a lovely, comfortable time in this naturally beautiful home.

It was amazing so homey as well as clean. The cottage pictures didn't do it justice log fire made the colder nights feel toastie. There was also central heating so the house was very warm. Hot tub was out of the world beautifully lit up at night garden lovely kept tidy a beautiful. We hoping to be back there again soon.

Gordon met us at the property when we arrived to show us round. Such a lovely helpful person, thank you so much! The property has everything you could need and want. Log fire in the living room was fabulous. Hot tub was amazing, we used every night with the exception of one rainy evening. The local area is lovely. So pretty and full of nature! The sunsets are so pretty. We visited quite a few different places which were all with in about an hour of Rivendell. Spoiled for choice. We look forward to coming back to visit!

Rivendell is a beautiful and quirky cottage. Modern kitchen with everything you could need for your stay. Comfortable furnishing and bed and considering the bathroom is on the top floor the pressure for the shower was amazing. Gordon is a super host who kept in contact and kept the fire for the hot tub alight when we were running late. Would definitely recommend and thank you Gordon your a star.

Rivendell is the perfect holiday home. Its a beautiful house and is equipped with everything you could possibly need including breakfast ingredients for your first morning! The house is beautifully furnished from top to bottom and the kitchen is straight out of Good Housekeeping with top quality appliances and utensils. The garden is just as impressive with little nooks with seating areas, fire pit and of course the wood fired hot tub! Gordon is the perfect host he gave us tips for how to get the most out of the area and made sure we were settled in and made it easy to keep in touch. Perfect evenings in the hot tub with garden lights twinkling around us just lovely! We will be back!

We loved our our stay at Rivendell. Gordon the host was so friendly and welcoming. The cottage is ideal for a minibreak, they have thought of just about everything you could need, and there are so many extra thoughtful touches too. We especially loved the clever use of the garden space, watching sunsets from the hot tub will be a favourite memory. The location too made it a great base for exploring North Wales and we can't wait to return to see some more!
Gordon was an amazing host and the cottage was beautiful with all the amenities you need. The hot tub was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay
Stayed at Rivendell for 3 nights. Absolutely beautiful property. Property had everything needed for a fabulous stay. Property was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Gordon was a fabulous host throughout the whole stay . Would definitely recommend Rivendell
Our stay at Rivendell was excellent. We stayed there for four nights and enjoyed every minute of it. As soon as you walk in the front door you are hit with a wave of freshness and cleanliness. The layout is over four floors so not ideal for physically impaired visitors. However it has a wonderfully cosy feel inside. The kitchen is lovely and was adequate in terms of space for the two of us. It was well equipped with different options of cooking so you can take your choice. The outside space is great. You can either sit by the fire pit when it gets a bit chilly in the evening, or sit on the small lawned area for a cup of coffee. There is also a gas barbq which we used and was very handy on a beautifully sunny afternoon, but the part we enjoyed the most was the decked area at the furthest part of the garden which included a lovely wood fired hot tub. The owner of the property Gordon came around everyday to fire up the hot tub and get it ready for when we wanted it later in the day. I cannot really emphasize how helpful Gordon was as a host. He went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable, welcoming and enjoyable as possible. If we are up that way again I will definitely look at staying again, and will certainly recommend it to any couples that we know. Thank you Gordon for everything you did.
What a fantastic property Rivendell is combined with a superb host in Gordon. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and shown round the house which was fully equipped with everything you could need. Lots of nice touches with the hot tub and fire pit being great additions. The location is ideal as a base for days out with beaches and tourist locations within an easy drive. Local shops are a few minutes drive away for any essentials you need to get and there is a Chinese takeaway in the village which is pretty good. All in all a great few days escape and would highly recommend to anyone.
An absolute gem in a beautiful and quiet location! There is everything you could possibly need down to a comfortable bed, beautiful kitchen and TV's in every room. Every where was immaculate, well decorated and smelt amazing! You can really tell the owners have taken their time to make this place feel like home. The hot tub which Gordon the owner set up for us every day was perfect to come back and unwind in every evening in such a beautiful garden. The location is perfect for visiting places with shops nearby. This place is a perfect little gem with the little extra touches making it that more special. It was perfect for our romantic getaway. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this place to others. Thank you Gordon for your hospitality
What a gem! Beautiful accommodation, very clean and presentable, relaxation bottled!! Gordon the host was extremely attentive and helpful. Everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Hot tub just topped it off after some lovely walks to Talacre bay and Prestatyn. Will definitely recommend and hopefully return as so accessible from the North West. Thank you Gordon and Katya!! Perfect getaway! We had an amazing time at this quirky beautiful cottage with beautiful views and an amazing hot tub to unwind in. Perfect escape with three fireplaces, Netflix, the comfiest bed ever and a very modern kitchen, this place really has everything you could possible need. The owners are lovely, very welcoming and it is clear they have put so much love and attention to detail throughout. Would 100 recommend and will definitely be returning ourselves. Thank you for a fabulous stay.
We had a wonderful time with our daughter at Rivendell for our first wedding anniversary. We'll definitely look to book again though perhaps next time we'll leave the baby with her grandparents as when the listing says steep stairs it means it! Nothing to detract form our enjoyment but something to keep in mind for those with littles or limited mobility. Magical hot tub too!

Our stay at Rivendell has been so lovely! It was so clean and we absolutely adored the decore, even all the way down the the funky cutlery. Everything that you could have possibly needed was provided by the owners things like milk, tin foil, an iron, everything was there. The owner Gordon was so kind. On our arrival, he showed us how everything works, made sure the hot tub was good to use everyday, helped us set up the barbecue and was very attentive. We would so recommend this place to others and would definitely return for another stay, such a cute little home.
Lovely cottage with everything you need in a great quiet location. We had an amazing time. The hot tub is a lovely bonus and a fantastic way to relax in the evening. The property was clean tidy and well equipped. The extra touches made our stay more special. Thank you again for everything.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and Gordon was truly exceptional in ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. Gordon's attention to detail and hospitality made a significant difference. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was the cleanliness of the accommodation, the amenities provided, or his helpful recommendations for local attractions, Gordon's efforts did not go unnoticed. In summary, we had a wonderful time and would like to extend our gratitude to Gordon for providing such a memorable holiday experience. We look forward to potentially returning in the future and will certainly recommend this property to everyone.
